Chapter 110: Chapter 110: Steel Magnate

Augustman saw Lin Shen riding an Iron-horned Horse over, and the arrogant look on his face thickened.

Sitting immovably on the back of a big black bull and looking down from above, he merely waited for Lin Shen to approach, so he could finish him off with one ax.

For the Ultra-Burn Tribe, Steel Level was considered rubbish. Most members of the Ultra-Burn Tribe were born at Steel Level, while those with excellent aptitude were born at Alloy Level. If an adult member of the Ultra-Burning Clan People was still at Steel Level, it essentially meant they were at the very bottom of society, and to call them trash was not an overstatement.

To Augustman, a mere Steel Level human was nothing but trash.

Watching Lin Shen charging over on his horse, Augustman slowly raised the dual-bladed axe in his hand.

At that moment, on another grassy slope, a few more Ultra-Burning Clan People emerged, led by one clad in a red tight-fitting suit, while the others, like Augustman, wore black.

“Vice-captain, that’s Augustman over there. He seems to have gotten into a fight with a human. There are humans here?” One of the warriors in a black tight-fitting suit exclaimed in surprise upon seeing the two opponents.

The one dressed in the red tight-fitting suit and called vice-captain laughed, “A trash Steel Level human. We’ll figure it out once we capture and interrogate him.”

The group of Ultra-Burn tribe warriors joked and laughed, not taking Lin Shen seriously at all.

But when Lin Shen charged up to Augustman’s side on his Iron-horned Horse and thrust his spear, everyone’s expressions changed.

It was fast, so fast that everyone found it hard to believe it was the speed of a Steel Level.

Augustman only saw a flash of red before he could even lift his dual-bladed axe, and the Death Powder had already pierced through his throat, going straight through.

“Impossible!” The warriors on the other grassy slope widened their eyes in disbelief as Augustman was speared to death by a Steel Level human.

“So aliens are just like this, quite weak, huh?” Lin Shen didn’t expect that he could kill Augustman with a single spear thrust, he hadn’t even had time to react.

He had actually thought Augustman would last a few rounds against him before he’d pull out his Angel Revolver and send him off with a single shot.

It wasn’t really surprising though. The strength provided by the Boundless Strength Contract, the enhancement of the Sacrificial Halo, along with the Super-Base Instantaneous Speed and Super-Base Armor-Piercing Spike of Death Powder, made killing an Alloy Level not that difficult, especially since Augustman was so arrogant.

Lin Shen had wanted to plunder the spoils on Augustman’s body, but then he heard angry curses and roars from the other side.

Turning his head, he saw eight Minotaurs charging over, the majority being Crystal Base, with the other three being of the same Alloy Level as Augustman.

They were all clad in tight-fitting suits, mostly black, but one was red. As they charged over, their bodies exuded Base Mutation material, forming a Crystal-based Carapace to protect their entire bodies.

Lin Shen turned and fled. However, the Iron-horned Horse was too slow compared to the speed of the Crystal Base, and a few Crystal Base Minotaurs were about to catch up.

“Ah… Ah…” The two Crystal Base Minotaurs at the front suddenly screamed in agony. Each had a Mutated Black Armored Centipede wrapped around their legs, piercing through their Crystal Base Carapaces.

The Minotaur in the red quickly reacted, noticing a Mutated Black Armored Centipede that rushed out from the grass beside him, and leaped into the air, narrowly avoiding its bite.

Seeing the red-clad Minotaur leap into the air, Lin Shen didn’t hesitate to raise his gun and fire. With a loud bang, a Pet Capsule shot out, transforming into a White Jade Tiger in mid-air and under the acceleration of 44 speed, it instantly reached the red-clad Minotaur.

The red-clad Minotaur, clearly much stronger than the average Crystal Base, grabbed the Red Crystal Dual-Bladed Axe from his back and violently chopped at the pouncing White Jade Tiger.

Claws clashed with the Red Crystal Dual-Bladed Axe, sparking fiercely as the White Jade Tiger was knocked down, several claws chipped away.

The other Minotaurs were in a far less optimistic situation, with the two Crystal Base Minotaurs whose Carapaces had been pierced by the Mutated Black Armored Centipedes now howling in pain on the ground.

The venom of the mutated Black Armored Centipede was extremely potent. Though it wouldn’t kill in a short time, it inflicted such excruciating pain that most people could hardly bear it, and once it took effect, they basically lost all fighting capability.

The Black Armored Centipede that had attempted a sneak attack on the red-clad Minotaur without success turned and flapped its wings, lunging at another Crystal Base Minotaur.

The two Black Armored Centipedes that had bitten the Minotaurs also attacked other Minotaurs, with one of the Crystal Base Minotaurs still able to fend off an attacking Black Armored Centipede.

The remaining three Alloy Level Minotaurs, however, were not so lucky. Under the assault of another Black Armored Centipede, they quickly fell to the ground, screaming miserably.

Lacking the life force of the Crystal Base Minotaurs, they succumbed to the poison and died within a short period.

Lin Shen fired another shot, and a Black Crystal Stoneman, towering over three meters tall, charged at the red-clad Minotaur, joining forces with the White Jade Tiger to besiege him.

The five Mutated Crystal Base combat pets Lin Shen had taken from Zheng Guyuan were all deployed, while Lin Shen stood aside to watch the battle.

The Minotaurs were both shocked and enraged. How could they have imagined that a Steel Level human would possess so many Mutated Crystal Base combat pets, more than even a legion commander’s mutated pets.

The two remaining Crystal Base Minotaurs hurriedly pulled out their Pet Launchers and managed to stabilize the situation somewhat by releasing a few pets in the nick of time.

The two Minotaurs launched a total of six pets, all Crystal Base but lacking any mutated varieties.

The red-clad Minotaur also drew his Pet Launcher, fending off the attacks from the White Jade Tiger and the Black Crystal Stoneman while launching continuously, producing two pets—both Crystal Base Level, one a mutated Big Red Bull and the other an ordinary Jade Armored Warrior.

With so many pets joining the fray, the battle finally stabilized. The red-clad Minotaur was particularly forceful, driving back the Black Crystal Stoneman repeatedly, its Black Crystal Body chipped and deeply gouged by the swings of the Red Crystal Dual-Bladed Axe.

“Just now, Augustman said their legion has thirty thousand people,” Lin Shen frowned inwardly, worried about Wei Wufu encountering them.

When it came to combat ability, Lin Shen didn’t believe that a Minotaur of the same level could match Wei Wufu in battle. Even against an ordinary Crystal Base, Wei Wufu stood a chance of winning an across-tier challenge.

But if there were too many Minotaurs, Wei Wufu would also be without recourse. After all, he was but one man—a pair of hands is no match for four.

“Human, you will pay in blood,” the red-clad Minotaur roared triumphantly as he cleaved the Black Crystal Stoneman to the ground.

The White Jade Tiger and the mutated Big Red Bull were locked in combat, and for the time being, it was difficult to discern the victor. However, the White Jade Tiger had been injured by the red-clad Minotaur previously, and its movements were clearly affected, already at a disadvantage.

Lin Shen didn’t thrust with his spear, but instead pulled the trigger of his Angel Revolver with his backhand. Leaping from the Iron-horned Horse, he met the airborne, enraged slash of the red-clad Minotaur with even greater speed.
