Superman’s Saiyan little brother

Chapter 128: A Brief Confrontation

Although Robert didn't obtain information about the Hell Lord from the demon, the cursed cloth gave him a chance to encounter more demons and learn about hell.

Hiding the cloth's aura was simple; covering it with qi would suffice.

After dealing with the demon, Robert returned to the apartment building. At that moment, Jackie Chan was still protecting a father and son behind him, not intending to enter any rooms.

Jackie Chan was aware of his strengths. With his shield, he could handle most close combat situations, but he was at a loss against mysterious powers, especially the magical forces that had troubled him before. It was better to wait for Robert's return.

Upon his return, Robert headed straight for Constantine, sensing the room filled with a mysterious power similar to the one Constantine had used to ambush him earlier.

With a buzz, as Robert entered the room, Constantine's eyes lit up! The room brightened with numerous mystical magical forces forming a formation that trapped Robert inside.

"You're quite arrogant!" Constantine mocked Robert, trapped in the formation. "You don't think I'm as easy to deal with as that demon, do you? But then again, for someone like you, there's no need to use your brain. Return my treasure, or else..."

"Or else what?" Robert raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"Or I'll have to send you on a day trip to hell. You should know, the demons in hell are not on the same level as those that come to our world," Constantine snorted, forming strange magical symbols with his hands.

The surrounding formation changed, attracting all residual demonic auras in the room.

With a buzz, after the demonic aura fully condensed, a more sinister power awakened, belonging to hell.

Next to Robert, a small crack opened, barely the size of a fingernail, but it began to draw in his soul, as if trying to pull it into hell.

Constantine originally intended this method to expel demons, but he thought it would work well against someone like Robert too.

Of course, Constantine didn't plan to send Robert directly to hell. Sending a soul not from hell to hell was not an easy task. He merely wanted

opportunity to retrieve his amulet.

However, Constantine's plan did not succeed. The brute he had in mind was stronger than expected, and the small crack to hell was not enough to absorb Robert's soul.

With a series of cracks, the formation that Constantine had taken time to set up shattered instantly.

Now free to move, Robert, out of curiosity, reached towards the small crack to hell but quickly frowned, feeling a repulsion against his finger.

Indeed, just as Earth's dimension repels other dimensional forces, the hell dimension also repels living beings from Earth's dimension.

To enter the hell dimension, one would either need a true gateway to hell, enter in a soul state, or be powerful enough to tear through the dimension's repulsive force.

Clearly, Robert did not meet any of these criteria at the moment, but the amulet might help...

As the demonic aura from the hell crack gradually dissipated, the crack itself slowly vanished.

"Where did this weirdo come from?" Constantine muttered, looking at Robert with a mix of surprise and uncertainty.

"Can you open another crack like that?" Robert asked Constantine, curious.

"Never mind, this guy is troublesome! I can't figure out his strength, better not to drag this on," Constantine thought to himself.

Constantine was not one to easily admit defeat, but neither was he a man of principles. Facing an unknown powerful opponent, avoiding conflict was not new to him.

With his mind made up, Constantine knew escaping from Robert wouldn't be easy, especially considering Robert's previously demonstrated speed far exceeded his own. However, after years of hardships, Constantine's strength might not be top-notch, but his methods were varied enough to survive encounters with numerous supernatural beings.

With a buzz, at the thought, Constantine's actions quietly changed, and in the next moment, his body vanished from sight.

"Invisibility?" Robert raised an eyebrow, then with a sharp gaze at Constantine's last known position, chuckled. "You think you can leave just like that? Too easy."

"He found me," Constantine was startled, quickly changing his tactics, releasing a cloud of dust and foul odor, somewhat similar to the hell crack's stench, all stinking horribly.

The key was, as the dust and stench spread, Robert found that Constantine's presence truly vanished.

"Gone?" Robert scanned the surroundings, detecting several anomalies.

Robert's figure flashed, chasing outside, but unfortunately, he found no trace of Constantine at any of the anomaly sites.

"Impressive! Not only can he hide his form, but he can also mask or change his presence... This is somewhat similar to that mysterious strong man from the other day. Could it be that he was also a mage?" After a while, without any findings, Robert stood still, muttering to himself.

"But this guy is decisive. He was so angry about getting his amulet back, and now he just leaves without looking back. I wonder if there's any trap left on this amulet..."
