Superman’s Saiyan little brother

Chapter 168: Diana’s Challenge in the Wilderness!

Robert was unaware of Hydra's movements. If he knew, he would have been excited and eagerly awaiting their next move. He had been waiting for news from Valon for quite some time and was beginning to doubt the security capabilities of Zone Thirteen…

After parting with Steve, Robert headed to the Louvre in Paris, which is much closer to London than the Parthenon in Athens. If Diana wasn't there, he planned to check the Parthenon next. If she wasn't at either location, Robert's only option would be to visit Skull Island and play with Kong, who had recently declared himself an adult after defeating a gigantic Tyrannosaurus Rex.

However, the Tyrannosaurus Rex wasn't killed. Robert had been ready to feast, but Kong ultimately spared the dinosaur and made it his subordinate. Kong felt he needed a subordinate since he was Robert's, otherwise, he would be at the bottom of the food chain - something intolerable for a creature once at the top.

Robert was disappointed about missing out on roasted dragon but consoled himself by reasoning that its meat would be tough and not as delicious as smaller dinosaurs. Even someone who loved food as much as Robert found turkey less appealing than regular roasted chicken.

"Eh? Diana's here?" While pondering about Skull Island, Robert sensed Diana's presence. Her aura wasn't much stronger than an average person's, but he was sure it was hers.

Instinctively, Robert headed towards the Louvre, only to be stopped by the security guard at the entrance.

"Sir, please buy a ticket…" the guard said with a smile.

"Huh, it's not the same person as last time?" The last time Robert visited the Louvre, he had encountered a different guard. He had mentioned he was there to see Diana, but upon learning she wasn't working that day and not sensing her presence, he had left.

"We work in shifts. Have you been here before? Then you should buy a ticket to support our work!" the guard insisted, almost like a salesman.

"I'm here to find Diana…" Robert scratched his head. He had rushed out without bringing any money.

"Miss Diana?" The guard's demeanor changed upon hearing Robert's words, and he scoffed, "Another suitor for Miss Diana? And you won't even buy a ticket? That's quite stingy."

Robert felt helpless at being called stingy, but he couldn't just shout for Diana. He released his battle aura for a moment, then let it disappear.

The guard felt a chill and looked around suspiciously before focusing back on Robert, unsure of what he had felt.

Meanwhile, Diana in the Louvre sensed something and stood up with a hint of excitement, heading outside.

"I don't care if you're really here for Miss Diana or not. The rules are the rules: no ticket, no entry. If you're not buying, please step aside…" The guard continued, but Diana interrupted him.

"He is indeed here to see me. I'm sorry, Connell." Diana's gentle voice startled Connell, who didn't expect Diana to remember his name.

"Oh! Sorry, Miss Diana. I should have checked inside. That's my mistake…" Connell apologized, "May I ask your relation to this gentleman? I'll notify them, so he won't be stopped next time…"

"Oh, we haven't officially defined our relationship yet…" Diana paused, seeing Robert in an unfamiliar guise. Only after he winked did she recognize him and took his arm, "I won't bring him inside. He's quite rough and doesn't appreciate art…"

"Okay…" Connell felt his heart break as he watched Diana leave with Robert.

Connell never harbored romantic notions towards Diana but took pleasure in seeing her reject suitor after suitor. He was shocked she didn't reject Robert, who seemed ordinary and couldn't even afford a ticket.

'Looks ordinary? Vegeta would be furious!' Connell thought, then shrugged it off, "What's it to me?" He then mused, "It must be those suitors who feel bad…"

"Why haven't you come to see me for so long?" Diana asked as they left the Louvre, squinting at Robert, "I haven't had a good fight in a long time…"

Diana, who had never battled for many years, never felt uneasy about not fighting. But after several battles with Robert, she found herself craving more. She had resisted visiting Robert, considering his young age and the inappropriateness of approaching him unannounced.

She had expected the battle-hungry Robert to seek her out again soon but didn't expect his absence to last nearly a year.

"Let's find a place!" Robert, sensing danger from Diana, was also roused to battle. He stared at her intensely.

"Alright!" Diana's warrior spirit surged as they locked eyes, almost causing a battle right there. But they suppressed their urges and headed to a secluded area.

In the wilderness, it was Diana, not Robert, who struck first, unable to wait after nearly a year. She had never used her half-god powers fully in front of Robert until now.

"Diana, you were holding back this whole time?" Robert asked, surprised but thrilled.

Diana had previously shown her ability to suppress her aura to a normal level, which Robert now understood was due to her controlling her body's strength. Otherwise, how could she have hidden among humans for so long?

"You're not bad yourself, reaching a level where I have to be serious…" Diana said as her aura exploded, releasing her half-god body's full strength for the first time in front of Robert.

"I can take it!" Robert grinned, his own aura fluctuating as he transformed, his muscles bulging and his hair defying gravity, green energy swirling around him, similar to Diana's divine glow.

Diana's pupils turned gold as she faced Robert's fierce gaze, their battle intents clashing.

The impact of their wills didn't deter Diana; it excited her more.

With a "boom," they collided mid-air, causing a deep crater below. Their battle was so intense and fast-paced that an onlooker could only see the ground shattering and hear sonic booms, unable to see them directly.

Robert grew more excited as he realized Diana was an all-around warrior, not like the animal warriors who were strong and defensive but slow.

Diana, now fully unleashed, was stronger than Robert in his Giant Ape Fury form, but there was no fundamental gap between them. As the battle continued, Robert's battle fury and power grew, closing the gap between them.
