Superman’s Saiyan little brother

Chapter 203: Can You Help Me?

At the street corner where Robert and Kara had disappeared, Clark appeared with an anxious expression. He had rushed here upon detecting the unique frequency of Robert's qigong explosion, but upon arrival, he couldn't find Robert or Kara.

"Right!" Suddenly, Clark had an idea. He stopped relying solely on his super vision and super hearing, and instead, unleashed his psychic powers, scanning everything around him. As his formidable psychic power swept out, Robert and Kara reappeared beside him. Clark faintly noticed a bar-like building vanish, but his attention shifted due to Robert and Kara's appearance and he didn't notice the direction in which the bar disappeared.

This was probably within Lucifer's calculations.

"Are you guys okay?" Clark asked, his brow furrowed as he looked at Robert and Kara, "What exactly happened? How did you disappear again?"

"We probably encountered another master," Robert said, pondering Lucifer's words about breaking dimensional barriers and possessing powers like Super Three or Buu. "It's a pity, I didn't get to beat up that Bi Chi enough!" Kara, still not having vented her anger on the succubus, muttered regretfully, seemingly still eager for battle.

"You two, didn't go to the same place?" Clark looked at Robert and Kara, noticing their differing states and feeling concerned that something beyond his control might have happened.

"We went to the same place, a bar. We were using a demonic curse to track demons and sensed a demonic presence here," Robert softly explained their earlier experience.

"A mysterious bartender? Aware of my arrival? And, you also encountered a demon?" Clark's frown deepened. "Could it be that you encountered a companion of my demon? Did you find out anything?"

"No, that demon was tough. I forced him to use a demonic curse, and he died without leaving any useful information," Robert spread his hands. The demon he encountered was in a spiritual state, and reading its mind wasn't simple for Robert.

"Because of that unexpected demon, I brought Kara out to see if there were other demons around!"

"I've picked up some information about a breach in Earth's dimension," Clark said, transferring a memory image into Robert's consciousness. It was the memory of the Stone Demon.

"Huh? One of these three demons was the one I killed. So, two of the three demons have been dealt with?" Robert was surprised upon seeing the memory, then smiled.

"So, only one demon left? Clark, don't steal my opponent this time. I let Kara have the last one, and she still seems unsatisfied, like she's taken a liking to fighting..."

"She doesn't like fighting; she just won't act unless the opponent is a succubus..." Clark glanced at Kara, who was looking down, and had a thought but didn't expose her. After all, in Robert's mind, Kara's enjoyment of fighting was a good thing.

"I'll keep an eye out for the last demon. You use the demonic curse to track them. But, since the hellish overlord said the dimensional breach on Earth is getting bigger, there might be more demons than just these three," Clark seriously said after regaining his focus.

Clark and Robert's purposes in searching for demons were different. Clark wanted to ensure that demons didn't threaten human safety, a responsibility he couldn't leave to the demons' conscience. In contrast, Robert sought a challenging fight or an opportunity for Kara to practice, though their end goal was the same: to either banish the demons back to hell or kill them.

Thus, the group began their evening task of searching for demons, with Robert and Clark as the main forces. However, compared to Robert, who could fish for demons using the curse, Clark's efficiency wasn't high, as demons on Earth, weakened yet adept at hiding, weren't easy to find.

For Robert and Kara, they didn't encounter any powerful demons, mostly just underlings that Robert found uninteresting, even Kara was reluctant to act...

Seeing Kara's diminishing desire to fight, Robert was somewhat helpless, but it seemed the succubus was right; she was more advanced than these minor demons. Perhaps Kara wanted a more formidable opponent?

"Should we bring Peter Parker and the others?" Robert suggested as he watched another demon struggle in his hands before transforming into another demonic curse.

"It's okay. Their power is comparable to these small demons, and it'll be beneficial for them," Kara agreed, showing no interest in these minor demons. She probably wouldn't act again until facing another demon like the succubus that enticed Robert that night.

"Demons?!" Soon, Robert and Kara informed Peter Parker and the others about their recent encounters. Pietro exclaimed in surprise, then noticed his classmates' stares and quickly shifted the conversation to a movie about demons, piquing some classmates' interest.

"Be more careful next time!" Lorna scolded Pietro, then eagerly turned to Robert, "What do demons look like? Are they as hideous and terrifying as in the movies?"

"There are many kinds of demons, but most are quite ugly. However, there are two exceptions I've seen," Robert reflected, then said in a low voice, "One is a succubus, a high-level demon. The other is a bartender, but probably a very powerful demon, stronger than the succubus... Huh? Kara, why are you pinching me?"

Confused, Robert looked at Kara, who was pinching his arm, and asked innocently.

"Hmph!" Kara, recalling Robert's behavior in the bar that night, turned her head away with a huff, expressing her dissatisfaction.

"Succubus?!" Pietro's eyes lit up at the mention, his interests clearly aligned with his adolescent impulses, but Lorna quickly interrupted his fantasies, scolding him for his frivolous thoughts. Despite Lorna's disapproval, Pietro defended his natural male curiosity.

Challenged by Lorna to compare with Robert and the others, Pietro mumbled a retort but stopped short under a dangerous glare, choosing to remain silent.

The conversation was interrupted by Robert's ringing phone, from someone unexpected – Johnny Storm, urgently requesting help with a monster at his house.

"Johnny? Didn't you receive the power of the talisman?" Robert was surprised, considering Johnny and Susan Storm had shown great potential, likely gaining talismanic powers like Steve.

"How do you know we have talisman powers? No, that's not important right now. Our powers are useless against this monster, and our house is in danger again..." Johnny replied, his voice tinged with bitterness.

"I understand, I'm on my way!" Robert's eyes brightened at the prospect of a formidable opponent and quickly agreed to help, seeing it as a potential challenge.

"I'll handle the demon situation later tonight," Robert said to Pietro and the others, hesitating as he noticed Kara's gaze but then scratching his head, "The next one is yours, Kara. This monster seems quite powerful..."

"Monster? Go ahead, then!" As long as it wasn't a female enemy like a succubus, Kara had no desire to engage, generously leaving the monster to Robert.
