Chapter 365: Resuming The Integration Of Treasures

Now that he was a Spirit Martial God, he truly became the strongest person in the entire Essence Sky World. There was no one who could face him head-on.

And that someone is Serena Lightfoot.

Talking about Serena, she truly is mysterious. Not only is she from the Clear Sky World and the reincarnation of Mystic Illusory Empress, but she also has a unique soul called Mystic Illusory Soul just like Alex's Supreme Undying Soul. Most importantly, she was able to sense Alex's actions when he tried to look at information. She felt as if an invisible but profound power was trying to scan her soul.

Even after that, Alex was unable to obtain any information about her other than her name, special physique, bloodline, and soul, as well as the fact that she is the reincarnation of Mystic Illusory Empress of Clear Sky World.

At first glance, she seemed to be just a mortal without any cultivation base, however, her strength is truly terrifying.

When Alex thought of her, he felt that he might not be her match with his current strength. Of course, if he is to activate the Primordial Chaos Body, then the chances of him winning will be a lot higher.

Alex's thought process was like this only because he knew that the strength of a special physique still depends on how strong a person is. If he himself is not strong, even if the Primordial Chaos Body is to strengthen his cultivation and power by a hundred times, he would still be no match for someone truly formidable.

Of course, Alex was not weak. As for activating the Primordial Chaos Body, he has no intention of doing that again. He could still recall that moment when he tried to face the Second Tribulation of Life Destruction. When he acted previously, he clearly saw how every life in this world was wiped out. Fritz was able to resist only due to his powerful strength. Other than him, no one survived.

When Alex thought of the natives of this world who died due to his reckless action, guilt drowned his heart. He felt like suffocating due to the guilt and regret.

Unfortunately, his system did not give him that chance at all. A system prompt suddenly appeared in Alex's mind.

"Argh!"

The instant the prompt appeared inside his mind, a surge of boundless energy erupted within Alex, bringing his body near the state of blowing up. The sensation he felt was not comfortable at all, it was as if gunpowder was exploding inside his body constantly.

This sensation was much more terrible than what he went through previously during the integration of treasured obtained from the sealed memories. He felt violent energy wreaking havoc everywhere inside him. He felt excruciating pain, enough to make anyone go crazy.

If he failed to endure the pain here, his body would explode, and he would die. That is why, he has to endure the pain.

Alex's body was under enormous strain, cracking bit by bit. It felt as if millions of thread-thin needles were constantly piercing every pore of his body.

His soul was not at rest either. It was going through the same sensation of being pierced by tens of thousands of sharp needles simultaneously. The soreness in his entire body became so intense that Alex slipped into a subconscious state. He could feel the pain and agony, experiencing every single change in his body, but he was helpless to move on his own. He had completely lost control over his body.

This was not the end; he was suffering so much that his body throbbed and twitched non-stop. Instinctively, his body was trying to help him endure the pain and complete the transformation.

Even in his subconscious state, Alex let out painful howls. The pain was simply unbearable, and tolerating it seemed impossible. He could feel every single cell undergoing tremendous change. He felt his energy being drained, only to be replenished from an unknown source, initiating the transformation process again, then drying up once more. This cycle continued for an unknown period of time.

With a flash of light, Fritz appeared not far from Alex. Previously, due to the state of the sky and earth which was riddled with spatial tears, even as the strongest in the universe, he was unable to immediately come close to Alex. It took him hours to come here.

Fritz never expected to see Alex in so much pain. At first, he thought something was wrong with Alex and wanted to help him, but as if recalling something, he stopped and no longer moved any further.

He could see through the changes happening inside Alex's body.

"So, you are accepting the Ancient Sovereign Bloodline and other treasures of your first life."

Nodding his head, he went to the side and started to wait. However, seconds later, he seemed to have sensed something. With a wave of his hand, he first sealed this entire world completely, hiding it from the prying eyes of otherworldly forces, and then disappeared himself.

He appeared to be in a hurry, as if something happened that needed him to personally step in and deal.

Before he completely disappeared, a few words reverberated into the air. These were aimed for Alex to hear.

"I will be away for some time. I hope when we meet again, you will be ready to leave this universe with me. Also, I have left behind something for you. This is a treasure I told you about. It was originally prepared as a reward for the test I set up for you."

"However, there is no need for the test anymore. You can just keep the reward."

These words were like powerful inscriptions, deeply imprinted in Alex's mind. Even though he was in such a tragic state, he was able to hear and understand them completely.
