That Time I got Reincarnated as Son of an Idol

Chapter 46 – Interview First

Edited by The Darkest Knight#4796

Dozens of movies come out each year. And if you added all other movies from overseas, the number would greatly increase. Of course, not all movies were the same. There were movies categorized as blockbusters to B-movies.

Then the movies made by Taishi always attracted people's attention because the movies he shot always ended up winning awards. Therefore, it wasn’t strange that many people kept an eye out and looked forward to Taishi's next movie.

It wasn't that big a deal for a while. Still, people couldn't help but furrow their eyebrows when they saw that the movie Taishi was making would be starring two child actors and one adult actor who was famous as an idol as their main cast. They might be worried, but when the news about me came out. The stories about a nine-year-old child being the screenwriter on Taishi's newest movies hit the public.

To be honest, the story became wilder and wilder each day. Some people started to call out and make their own conspiracy. Even though people in the past praised me as a genius child actor in the past, it looked like it was too much for them when I was doing well on another thing too. A child, making good music and even being a screenwriter with a famous Director sounded like a fake to most people.

It was very believable that Strawberry Pro was behind the music I made since they had the resources to do that. Even the company may have paid a lot to Director Taishi to put my name on the script. They make a correlation between Taishi's relationship with Strawberry Pro. Even in this movie, Taishi made me the main character and chose one of the B-Komachi members cast as the sibling's mother.

Some websites even expose Taishi's relationship with Strawberry in the past, for example, when Ai debuted on the big screen. I appeared in the same movies and any other small thing he did in the past three years.

It made it easier for people to become doubtful, even though there was negative stuff around the movie as the screening date came closer. Most people anticipated the movie.

As the music that I made was still on the top of the chart, it made people curious about me and read all the news and it made them even more curious. I didn't really care if the people watched the movies with the hope that those movies would be bad and become a downfall of Taishi or me. It may be just some people curious about me and people who genuinely support me.

Ultimately, it was just increasing the number of people who watch my movie.

Honestly, even though my plan has always been successful until this point, sometimes, I couldn't help but feel such a huge pressure on me. It still made me nervous when the movie premiered, and as part of the main cast, I watched the premiere itself.

Well, if you asked me about the movie— Even though it used the same idea, the feeling and story were kind of different. In my previous world, this movie won several awards; I wonder if it would be the same. Since most of my plan was kind of a carbon copy, a thing that I know from the previous world and this movie may be the first thing that I changed a lot from the original.

Even though I told myself not to think too much, in the end, I did it. It was related to many things, and I have been preparing this plan for a long time. Of course, I felt worried.

That's why, after the news of how much we got and the reception people had after a day. It was another successful and good news as the movie got positive reception and a good number of people watched it.

People talked about the movie non-stop. Once again, people watched me acting again, and the response was really good.

Most people thought the movie was a good one, but maybe not as excellent as Taishi's usual movies, and that might have had a connection with me as his co-writer which was not good, but in the end, the most important thing.

It was a good movie with memorable acting. My acting was praised, and some said that the genius actor returned from hiatus because of illness and he came back with excellent acting to show that his coming back to the acting world once again was something that people liked to read.

It wasn't long before those kinds of stories were all over the news, and people became eager to watch my movies. Even after one week, the drop wasn't bad and stayed strong for long.

"Be well prepared. It looks like they have a lot of questions for you. When those people know you are coming, they might try to do something overboard with their questions. But you can ignore it." Miyako told me as she was escorting me to the press conference.

With the success of this movie, it was only natural for the main cast to do promotions, and one of them was an interview at a press conference. Although I was underage, the number of promotions and interviews was not as many as those conducted by adult actors.

My attendance at press conferences was also limited as I was never out of town and was usually scheduled during the day. Of course, we had a guardian around us. Yes, us—because whenever I do an interview about this movie, I always do it with Kana.

"Hm, yes… I've memorized all the questions that will be asked." I replied to Miyako. I don't know if this was the same for all child actors. However, most of the interviews I've had have been planned from the beginning. The questions to be asked and the answers to be said are usually already in place before recording. Or it was just what Miyako did for me.

"That's good— Ah, once again, I told you that there is a possibility that the interviewer may ask questions outside of what has been promised. You don't need to answer and just ignore them." Miyako tried to alert me. It felt like she rarely said this to me; in other words, there was something different about this interview.

"Miyako— Is there something wrong with this interview?" That's why I asked her; she showed such an unpleasant face.

"Well, there's one that came from a quite annoying magazine. Sometimes they make great stories occasionally, but they usually go crazy about the controversy and conspiracy they like, and it feels like they have their eyes on you." Just like always, Miyako replied with an honest feeling.

"Is that so? Why could we just not bring them?"

"Ha— Of course, I want to do that, but too bad—that in this industry, we are still connected to them somehow."

"Are you saying that… there's someone who wants them in this interview."

"Yeah, that's the irony in this industry. Ah— Actually, I chose this interview and you specifically since you're more reliable than Ai or Ruby. I know you can handle them." Miyako sighed and smiled at me with such trust in her eyes.

"Ha— Poor Ai. Miyako said something like this about her."

"No—no— To be honest, Ai always does something overboard when it comes to you. As for Ruby— I can't trust her at all—"

"Ahaha, that's awful of you, Miyako. But that's true; I would rather people try to hit me rather than those people try to do anything to Ai and Ruby. Thanks for that—" I thanked her since, to be honest, for me, it was a good decision for her.

"Hm, I wonder what kind of questions they ask during the interview to get article-worthy remarks from me? Ah, how are we going with something interesting?" I told Miyako, who sighed as she stared at me.

"Do whatever you want… You wouldn't listen to me at all when you had that kind of expression. Just don't do anything crazy. I guess…"

"Eh, you sound like I will do something bad. I am just thinking of granting them what they want…" I responded with a smile on my face.

"Really, I can't wait…"

Well, yesterday I said have a problem with my PC is already fine, but it was a reason I've gone for four days.
