That Time I got Reincarnated as Son of an Idol

Chapter 89 – Shinomiya Kaguya

In the end, only Ishigami and I had yet to decide which club to join. Meanwhile, Ino went to join the Public Morals Committee, and Ruby, along with Kobachi, also went to take care of making a new club. I hope they get members quickly. At the same time, I also took the opportunity of Ruby leaving to sneak a meeting with Momo.

I walked in the direction where Momo usually was. As a child of the Yakuza, Momo didn't have many friends. Even so, I still had to pass through the area of the seniors. I passed through the school hallway with many people's gazes on me. Some of them even tried to wave their hands at me. This event happened often because, after all, I was a famous actor who seemed to be favored by the students at Shuchi'in Academy.

Honestly, as a private school exclusively for the rich and noble, Shuchi'in Academy is very huge. It includes the junior high school sector as well, so it is not strange that some places are deserted when school is over. I was currently walking in the area. As a historical school, it wasn't odd that it had various spirits with various forms.

At least now, I've gotten used to distinguishing the voices that come from spirits and ordinary people. That's why I can distinguish the sound of someone's conversation that shouldn't be heard up to where I am. It's just that ever since I was able to see the spirits, it seems that my listening skills have become really excellent.

I didn't intend to listen to their conversation. Still, my sense of hearing heard a voice that was quite familiar, albeit quite cold, compared to what I was used to hearing in anime and manga in my previous life. Aside from that, their conversation was quite intense.

“You’re just spoiled— Always—always looking down on me. I was only being nice because my mom told me to! Even so, I have my limits!! I can’t take it anymore—”

Uwa— That’s quite intense. Well, this is a rich and noble family school. So it is not unusual for parents to encourage their children to be close to children from families that they think will benefit them. Honestly, I feel a little sorry for those two people. Because, in the end, the relationship is not very good for the two people involved.

Therefore, I deliberately went to the classroom where the conversation was taking place and unceremoniously interrupted the conversation between the two people.

“Err— Is there a problem?" I said that, which made the two people's eyes shift to me. One came from a female student I didn't recognize, with a face that was a mixture of tears and anger. The other one came from a girl whose voice I recognized, although her face was expressionless and cold. It was easy for me to see the pain and sadness behind that stern face.

“Ugh— Anyway— We’re done.” The girl student I didn't know said that before she ran out of the class, leaving me with a cold expression. The girl was practically a Yamato Nadeshiko, even though she had just had an argument with the girl who had run away. She was still graceful with her long black hair and black eyes that had previously watched the girl leave before stopping at me.

"Am I interrupting?" I spoke to the girl I'd seen a few times, but I'd never attempted to make conversation with her. This could be the first time I faced her like that and also talked to a girl named Shinomiya Kaguya.

“No, just like she said— We’re done,” Kaguya responded with such a stoic tone as she had already gotten used to this treatment.

“Is that so? But are you fine?” Well, I never actually planned to do this, and I just happened to see an event like this.

“Haah— What do you mean?” Kaguya was surprised by my question and stared at me with her cold eyes. At this moment, Kaguya may have started fearing people since she felt different from her peers. She was someone taught as the people of the Shinomiya Family, after all.

“Well, how do I say it— I didn't mean to overhear you guys' conversation. However, your conversation was intense enough that I could hear it coming out into the hallway. Therefore, I was wondering if you were okay?"

“Ah, that’s—” Kaguya seemed to hesitate for a split second before she swallowed and continued. “It couldn't be helped— People approached me because of my family, after all. I'm accustomed to this sort of thing.” Kaguya spoke and seemed to be about to leave this unused classroom.

“Hm— It still hurts though, doesn't it?"

Kaguya's body trembled for a moment, and she looked at me sharply.

“I wonder why you're saying something like that. In the end, they are the ones who fail."

"But that wasn't my question. From the beginning, I asked if you were okay or not?"

“I’m fine, though— You don’t have to worry about me, Hoshino Aquamarine. That’s quite a name, doesn't it.”

“Hahaha, I thought so too. I didn't expect senpai to know my name."

"It doesn't seem possible that someone in this school doesn't know Hoshino Aquamarine. A genius actor who can bring the Japanese movie world to Hollywood.”

“It's an honor for me to learn that Senpai knows about me.”

“Hmph, in the end, you also know about me. I wonder to what extent you plan to approach me.” Kaguya said sarcastically, and she even crossed her arms in front of her chest as if challenging me.

“I wonder why you think like that.”

“I mean— Your family is trying to get close to the Shinomiya Family after all by cooperating with Brother Seiryuu. It looks like your cooperation is going well— It feels too coincidental that we're talking like this. So what do you need to talk to me like this."

“Isn’t this treatment quite harsh? Oh, well. Hmm, I don’t have anything to talk about. But I wonder if there’s something you want to ask your father since I will meet him.”

Yeah, I basically had no intention of talking to Kaguya until I met her father. However, for some reason, it took Seiryuu so long that I finally managed to get an appointment with the head of the family on the weekend. Kaguya's face grew sharper, and I could feel the aura around her freeze like ice. It's not strange that, at this moment, she's called Kaguya (ice).

“I don’t understand what you are trying to say.”

“Well, I wonder if you want me to help you and ask your father to spend time together or something.”

“Haaah— That’s stupid.”

Kaguya finally said that before she eventually left me while giving me a sharp look. Even so, I could see from her expression that she was quite surprised by my words. I guess in the end, Kaguya must still want her father to pay attention to her.

“Geez, she is really intense,” I muttered, like when I met Momo, who was also in an empty classroom while her seat was filled with various game consoles.

“What are you saying?”

“I just met with Shinomiya-san.”

“Ah— Is that so—”

“You don’t look interested.”

“Well, since I am not interested in that. In the end, it's a relationship between the rich and the nobility. It’s complicated.”

“Hm, that’s true. Anyway— Can I go to your home? I kinda want to see her.”

“Oh, right now? Hm, okay then.”

Momo immediately cleaned up her things that were lying on the table, which, of course, was assisted by me, who cleaned up the various snacks that were lying around, too.

“It's been a long time since you came to our home.”

Momo spoke like that while going out after everything was tidy. I followed her while responding.

"Well, I have a bit of a problem after all."

“You will play with me, too, right?”

“Yes— Yes—”

“Geez, just one ‘yes’ is enough.”
