NOVEL SIMPLE Ch 60. The White Rabbit
The little Phlum was ready to charge at the Dormouse, her eyes were sparkling and she had a blood thirsty smile drawn on her face. Although, there was no way I could leave her to do something like that.
No matter how strong she is, the skill that Drmouse is using isn't something that can be fought by mere strength, you need to use your brain too.
“Phlum, stop! Don't get close to him!”
It was really hard to mutter those words, but I shouted with all my strength, in our current situation, Phlum was our only hope.
Luckly, she was able to hear me, even if my mouth was on the ground, she was able to hear me.
“Now that I think about this… Why didn't you tell her, <Maggot>?”
“Well, honestly…”
However, the ghost girl wasn't able to finish her words because Phlum shouted at us asking for instructions.
“W-What should I do then?”
“Push him back, and don't get close!”
“‘Kay! This is going to be an interesting fight. Haha~!”
Phlum throw a wind blade towards the Dormouse, but he dodged it with a step to the side.
No, it wasn't a mere side step, in fact, it felt like something even more complex than that. How should I put this? If he had come closer, then my body would have been able to feel that. The same goes if he had gone further from us.
However, there was no change in how heavy my body felt. It was as if he had managed to keep the same distance between both of us with that side step. Just like if he were walking by the perimeter of a circle centered on myself. But that would mean that… No, we can't take that chance, it is too risky.
The wind blades continued flying towards the Dormouse, but he gracefully dodged all of them. On the other hand, Phlum didn't look worried at all, after all, she was just warming up.
“Well, it couldn't be that easy. There's no way some random weakling could send me flying through the air. Well, even if you are the strongest of this place, you'll pay for what you did! Haha~”
Phlum said those words while attacking the Dormouse from afar. But there was something in her words that clicked through the trio of weirdos. How do I know that? That's simple, because the Dormouse talked for the first time.
“There's no way you could even stand in front of our Lady. You’ll need to get out of here alive first. No, there's no way.”
Phlum tilted her head at hearing those words.
“Uh, your Lady? She must be some nameless low rank demon or something like that. Afterall, our Lady is the strongest of our realm. Haha~”
“Oh, but you are no longer between your borders.”
Hearing that, the Leprechaun and the Hare laughed. Again, it was an annoying and loud laugh.
“There she comes. Whkakakaka~!”
“There she comes. Kiukiukiukiu~!”
Indeed, something was coming. The temperature started lowering as soon as Phlum insulted their Lady for no reason. Clouds were covering the sky and a soft, constant and cold wind started filling the fields.
“You shouldn't start badmouthing the owner of the house you’ve been invited to, you know?”
The one who talked was someone who hadn't talked at all until this point, it was the white Rabbit we followed through the forest. The one who ended up bringing us into this weird place.
“Shall we keep going then? She looks angry…”
And simply like that, the fight against the trio of weirdos was over. The trio knelt down to the white Rabbit and started running towards the library.
“We'll get them next time! This is so frustrating...”
“I was so close to discovering their trick! Arghhh!”
“No, you were not…”
“Shut up, Kirwha!”
Just like that, we continued our way across the fields until we saw the entrance of a castle. A castle which was more than three times the size of our Lady’s.
AN: Finally, chapter 60. It ended up coming later than sooner, sorry for that, I’ve been really busy, so I’ll take this opportunity to thank you for keeping on supporting this job and myself.
I haven't posted a note in a while, so I thought that a rounded chapter like “60” could be a great opportunity. Haha~
I hope none of you guys get disappointed at how this fight ended. No, maybe I hope you'll get disappointed so you'll be waiting for the next time these two teams encounter each other?
Anyway, those dudes were kinda strong, right? Also, they talked about their Lady… Would she be stronger than our Lady? I hope we don't have to wait too long to find out!
