The Abyssal Lord (DxD)

[Lilith (Underworld Capital) - Third Person POV]

“Interesting choice little devil, but are you sure? Do you truly wish to become mine?”

Xeron's cold and flat voice echoed throughout the room they were in, and the sound of it brought Serafall to her senses. 

She had already made her choice so she wouldn't back down from the deal, even if it meant that she had to sell herself to the demon.

“Yes, I'm sure”

“Then so be it”

And just like that, the tension that was surrounding the room shattered like glass, and all the devils, along with Penemue breathed a sigh of relief.

…. Azazel didn't care tho, he was just having fun.

Xeron walked back to his seat and sat down again, and with renewed vigor, Serafall smiled and continued speaking.

“Thank you Xeron! And It's an absolute pleasure to welcome you as if you were one of our own!”

Xeron just nodded at the overly excited Serafall, and watched as she happily sat back down in her seat, and his gaze shifted towards Ajuka. It was time for the second part of the deal.

Ajuka approached Xeron and pushed the evil chess set in his direction, it was still closed, signaling that no-one has claimed it yet.

“Lord Xeron, just insert some of your energy into the chess set and it'll be recognised as your own”

Ajuka Beelzebub spoke to the demon in a friendly but excited manner, and as it was an opportunity to discover how his creation will react to a foreign entity for the first time, the excitement part was somewhat understandable.

You must know that originally, the evil chess set wasn't in possession of any race other than the devils. So when Serafall suggested the idea, he got to work and designed a specific set of evil pieces that worked with any form of energy, not only devil mana.

And so, under the eyes of Ajuka and everyone present, Xeron raised his eyebrow and……didn't do anything.

When Ajuka was about to ask what was the problem, Xeron's flat voice was heard, he spoke as if he was stating a well known fact.

“Your creation won't be able to handle my power”

Ajuka’s brain short circuited, out of all the things he was prepared to hear, he didn't expect it to be this.

‘How preposterous!! The evil set is my brightest creation yet!!’

But as much as he would've liked to deny this claim, he knew it was true.

It was understandable if you think about it really. How would something that Ajuka created be able to handle the power output of someone significantly more powerful than him.

…..But part of him still wanted to see what would happen, which is why he specifically made this special chess set and brought it here.

“I am aware, but please try to claim it regardless. It will help me to someday make you one that's more suitable”

Xeron shrugged and accepted in the end. It didn't matter to him what the devils did if they didn't have any I'll intentions.

He then reached out to the chess set and pushed some his demonic energy into it, and while a normal evil set would've opened and revealed the pieces by now.

*BOOOM*

 

….This one just exploded.

The explosion was minor and didn't cause a scene, but it looked Ajuka was devastated to see the remains of his beloved creation scattered across the room.

The devils where somewhat stunned by what happened, not always will they be able to witness something that the smartest devil in existence made, failing after all.

“Hahahaha”

…..of course Azazel was laughing his ass off, it wasn't everyday that he saw Ajuka this frustrated.

Ajuka sighed sadly, but still used magic to collect the shattered chess pieces that was scattered around the room, they would serve to fuel his research after all.

And while the Beelzebub was thinking to himself quietly, Xeron's words pulled him out of his thoughts again.

“I’ve seen your magic a few times, devils, and while it isn't particularly interesting to me. There's something in mind that I want to check for myself”

The devils in the room were drawn to what Xeron said. They knew that he didn't use devil magic, in fact, he has a power of his own. Something that they have never seen before, so they didn't know what he had in mind, but if it involved their power they wanted to see it for themselves.

“Ajuka, do you have another evil set?”

Ajuka was surprised by the request, but complied nonetheless. He pulled out another evil set and put it on the table in place of the previous one, but this time it was a normal one, like the one all noble devils use.

Xeron then hovered his hand above the set and in a similar fashion to his previous display he pushed some energy into it.

Ajuka was prepared for an explosion….but it didn't happen, and instead of an explosion the evil set was bound to Xeron, revealing a complete set of jet black MUTATED evil piece.

‘What?!’ x3

The devils were extremely bewildered, because not only did the set not explode, it even recognized Xeron as the master and became a full set of mutated pieces, making it the strongest one since the creation of the devil reincarnation system, significantly stronger than the strongest set, which was Sirzechs's set with three mutated pieces.

So with their mouths hanging open and thier eyes staring at Xeron looking for answers, he collected his chess set and leaned back into his seat and stayed silent.

The devils understood that he wanted them to calm down and sit, so they did. And what happened after that made them even more startled.

Behind Xeron was three magic circles, not any magic circles mind you, it was the Sitri's, Gremorys’ and Astaroth’s magic circles. They were all swirling behind him in the air and after each one released a small magic spell into the air they vanished again.

…..The devils were really tired due to the constant surprises, but it didn't lessen their bewilderment, and finally after a few seconds of silence, Sirzechs was the first to speak.

“Xeron, would you be kind enough to explain to us what you just did?. If not it's totally understandable”

The demon smirked slightly at the appearance of the devil Satans, it may seem like they were calm, but from what he understands, what he just did would have had very high consequences if he were weaker than any of them.

Imagine what would've happened if he were to commit a crime, and leave traces of Gremory magic in the scene. This would spill trouble to the Gremory household, and by extension Sirzechs Lucifer, even if he didn't associate with the household anymore, he still supports them.

Same as the other houses, so they just couldn't let anyone do the same as what Xeron did, so they have to understand how he did for them to be able to prepare countermeasures for it.

“I'm not so kind as to outright tell you how I did it, but I'll give you a small hint”

Sirzechs sighed but still nodded his head, they couldn't force him to speak in any way, so frankly even a hint would be appreciated.

“In our universe, the only two energies that can be freely manipulated are mana and aura which this world calls touki. So by extension, and my senses tell me that all of our powers have something in common, they all use mana as fuel”

Everyone nodded at the words Xeron just said, as if it was common knowledge. Which it was, it was a well known fact that everyone in the supernatural either uses mana in some way or doesn't possess any and just uses touki, which is called the one's inner energy.

But the mystery still hadn't been solved. It was common knowledge that no-one can use another species' powers if you weren't born with it, even if the source of said power is the same.

The same thought popped into everyone's mind at the same time, and Xeron saw that, so he just scoffed lightly.

“That's where you're all wrong”

He raised his two hands and from the right hand came light magic which the angels use, and the other hand glowed with devil magic which was self explanatory.

This time, it was Azazel's time to be amazed. But he didn't react much, it was expected in a way, if he replicated devil magic then angel magic should be easy enough.

“As I said, all powers have the same source. So, someone who can understands the process of how the soul uses mana to form devil magic for example, he could theoretically replicate it”

He closed both hands, and the spell in each hand vanished.

“Of course, this isn't all there is to it, so you'll have to figure out the rest for yourselves”

The research team that consists of Azazel, Penemue and Ajuka were incredibly intrigued and looked like they wanted to hear more. While Sirzechs and Serafall just shrugged and visibly relaxed, as long as it was a complicated procedure to copy some other race's power, then all is good.

Xeron stayed silent for a while, then he suddenly summoned his evil set, and after inspecting it for a while, he seemingly thought of something.

“Serafall, do you have a piece in mind?”

Xeron spoke to the devil, and she looked at him with a little appreciation, she didn't want to be a queen after all, or she would have to announce herself and she would like to avoid that for now.

“A bishop will do just fine~”

She hopped to his direction and arrived in front of him while pushing her bountiful breasts in his direction.

“Hehe~”

Xeron raised an eyebrow at her antics but didn't say anything, he just grabbed a bishop piece and pushed it towards her chest.

“Aaah~”

….He didn't forget to cop a feel though.

Her features didn't change much but that can't be said about her appearance. 

Her eyes that changed from blue to golden red, they were identical to Xeron's eyes in his human form, and similarly, her hair gained that abyssal back colour that resembled Xeron's hair.

She also grew in height, she grew from 5’2’’ to 5’6’’ and her hips became more full and curvey. 

And with the addition of her already large breasts made her really sexy looking, and she noticed it right away, so she struck a sexy pose and spoke seductively to Xeron.

“Wow! Levi-tan looks really sexy~ Would you like to be the first to have a tas-”

Xeron gaze lingered a bit on Serafall and after smiling lightly, he looked back towards the chess set and retrieved it back into his space storage.

And after Xeron’s gaze left her body, Serafall just shiverd slightly, and walked back into her seat. She felt his gaze on her body, and while it was brief, she felt like it was devouring her whole. It seems that her new master, wasn't going to play along with her teasing.

…..But, she couldn't help but be excited.

Sirzechs and Ajuka saw the exchange between Xeron and Serafall but didn't comment on it. It was Serafall’s actions that resulted in this so it wasn't there place to comment in anyway.

And after Serafall sat down again, a flash of flame appeared in front of the devils, revealing a demonic contract.

They couldn't read demonic language, so Azazel was the one to read the contract out loud for them.

It was basically the same contract as the one between Azazel and Xeron, but with this one had clauses centerd around the devils instead of fallen angels. And when they saw that there wasn't any problem with it, each one signed with a drop of blood, signalling the start of their cooperation.

“Aaaah! Finally! This was incredibly stressful!”

As expected, Serafall was the first to rise and she did so by stretching her body and complaining loudly.

The other Satans agreed with her but didn't voice the thought out like she did, it was incredibly rude after all.

But it didn't look like Xeron was offended, so it was all well in the end.

“As a representative of the devil race, I thank you again Xeron”

Sirzechs smiled slightly while thanking Xeron again, to which the demon just shook his head and said plainly.

“It's fine, I benefited too in the end”

Sirzechs smiled again and didn't say anything, and as he was about to excuse himself out, he sensed a devil running through the corridors towards their room.

He wasn't the only one to do so, as everyone in the room, except for Xeron, frowned slightly while looking at the door.

*Baaam*

The door slammed open revealing a visibly tired devil knight that was panting heavily, it looked like he came here running.

“State your business knight, if it isn't something important, I'll have you executed personally”

Sirzechs spoke with authority that can't be questioned, resulting in the devil in question immediately bowing 90 degrees and speaking in urgency.

“Lord Lucifer, lady Lilith is currently at the castle's hall, and she requested to join this meeting”
