The Abyssal Lord (DxD)

[Next Day - ORC room - Mid-School day]

Today was the dreaded day, it was finally time for the hated Riser to arrive and boy oh boy, was Rias very much not looking forward to this one.

The annoying worm was sticking to her like a leech, and him being a leecher didn't do much to help his image, and Rias being quite prideful didn't enjoy the idea of being binded by such an imbecile.

But….she has no choice but to fight for it, because her father was quite insistent on this marriage, and her brother and mother can't do much to help her, so she must take matters into her own hands.

*Fwoosh*

A teleportation circle with the crest of the Phenex’s family was suddenly materialized in the middle of the club room, and with a flash of bright yellow flame, came out the two Phenex family scions, Ravel Phenex and Riser Phenex.

Riser is a tall and handsome young man in his early 20's with short blond hair and dark blue eyes.

His outfit consists of a burgundy blazer with gold embroidery on the right with matching pants and black dress shoes.

Ravel is a beautiful young girl with dark blue eyes. She has long blonde hair tied into twintails with large, drill-like curls and blue ribbons keeping them in place.

“It has been a while since I was in the human world, it's as unpleasant as ever”

As soon as the magic circles faded, Riser wasted no time to voice his displeasure and followed by his voice came the humming of his younger sister Ravel Phenex, who also announced her displeasure.

“Indeed brother, the mana in this world is so pathetically little, it's a wonder how can a pure blood devil even function in this place”

She said while casting a glance towards Rias's direction, which Rias promptly ignored. It was well known that Ravel was quite the spoiled princess, being the only daughter to the Phenex family and all.

“Isn't it rude to not greet someone when you first arrive at their place?”

Rias said flatly while staring coldly at sibling pair, fortunately, they seem to have some decency coughed slightly.

“Good afternoon my fiance, It's good to see you again after so long”

Riser bowed a little while smiling politely, and as all devils, he was quite looking, so the gesture made him look like a charming prince, greeting an equally charming princes.

“I'm sorry for my rudeness miss Rias, and like my brother said, it's good to see you again”

Ravel, like her brother bowed a little and greeted Rias warmly, and no matter how Rias was displeased, she couldn't bring herself to ignore the two devils greetings, so to not tarnish her family's reputation, she was forced to return their greetings with her own.

“Good afternoon to you both, please have a seat”

After returning the low bow they offered her, she straightened up and walked back to the sofa opposite to their own and sat their with her entire peerage standing behind her as in custom.

Similarly, the two young Phenexs sat down, and was offered tea by Akeno, who prepared it before hand for their arrival, of course she didn't fail to notice the lustful look that Riser was pointing at her, but she didn't say anything to avoid making trouble for her King.

“So? What’s your purpose in coming here Riser? I'm certain that you know about the rating game between us in a few days”

Riser didn't respond, instead he picked up his tea cup and calmy took a sip, his eyes brightened momentarily, and he put down the cup and directed his gaze at Akeno.

“The tea is very good, you have quite the talent Akeno Himejima”

Akeno was a little stunned at being suddenly addressed, and she absentmindedly nodded her head and hesitantly thanked him back for his praise.

“....Thank you for the compliment, sir Phenex”

Riser didn't notice her hesitation, and nodded contently then looked back at Rias, Ravel however, noticed the hesitation on Rias's servant, but chalked it up to her being nervous, so she didn't pursue it much.

“I'm here exactly for that reason my fiance”

Veins started bulging on Rias's beautiful face, she hated Riser and hearing him calling her his fiance irritated him to no-end, but she took a deep breathe and calmly crossed her legs while speaking.

“And what is that reason I wonder?”

Riser, with the most friendly smile he can muster, spoke what he thought was inevitable in hope of educating his rebellious fiance.

“In the following rating game, you'll undoubtedly lose, so avoid yourself the embarrassment and surrender willingly my fiance”

*Snap*

And followed by a crisp clacking sound, a flash of flames was seen behind Riser, and out from it emerged his entire peerage.

“I have an undefeated record in addition to a full peerage, I honestly find it somewhat insulting that you think that you can defeat me in your first ever rating game”

Rias fell silent, don't get her wrong, she was undoubtedly annoyed, furious even. But…she couldn't bring herself to deny his claims because she herself knew that they were true.

She knew she was doomed, she wasted so much time playing student in the human world, until she was eventually faced with the consequences of her actions…or her in-actions in this case.

But….she couldn't fall here, she couldn't bring herself to lay over and surrender to her fate, and as she was searching her mind for something to counter Riser's words with, A voice filled with fury brought her out of her thoughts.

“The president will win! just you wait and see grilled chicken!!”

….For a moment no-one said anything, and the words didn't register in their brains, but after Riser shot up and glared angrily at Issei, everyone finally realised what had just happened.

“You! How dare you servant insult me! It seems your master as failed to teach you manners!”

Riser's flames flared on his back and four flaming wings shot out form his back, signifying not only his sour mode, but also his superior strength compared to all low level devils present, including Rias.

But Issei didn't seem swayed and instead of backing down, his sneer widened slightly and with a voice of pure mockery he replied.

“We'll defeat you anyday of the week, chicken, stop clucking uselessly, if you have something of importance say it!”

“You!!”

His flames flared brighter, and his wings glowed brighter, but after a couple of seconds, he took a deep breathe and retracted his wings. He then turned towards Rias, who has been silent until now and spoke flatly.

“I will not be taking it easy on you my fiance”

And with that he vanished, along with his entire peerage and his sister, because he wasn't known to hold his anger very well, and couldn't risk killing someone else's servant.

Rias stared at the magic circle for quite a while, and when it finally vanished she turned back to her peerage to find Akeno and Koneko pinching Issei's either ears, and by extension, Issei who looked like his ears were being peeled off his head, while Kiba was smiling helplessly at the side.

*Sigh*

She felt quite mentally drained, and found herself exhaling a breathe she herself didn't know she was holding in, and while she didn't deny that what Issei was quite stupid, she couldn't help but bring herself to appreciate it, even a little.

[Japan's Kuoh Airport - Third Person POV]

The sound of the plane's tires colliding with the ground roared in the plane's launching lane, and along with it arrived the young unfortunate nun named Asia Argento.

Following a chain of rather unfortunate events, and due to the young nun's inherit kind-heartedness, she has been exiled from the church and had been deemed a heretic of no renown.

So to avoid bringing the young nun to harm, her foster mother, an older nun with a considerable amount of standing in the church, offered to help take care of matters regarding the exiled nun, and with that pretense, she helped her foster daughter out, and made way for her to escape.

So yesterday, during the veil of night, Griselda Quarta accompanied her foster daughter Asia Argento to the airport and in a last farewell between the two nuns, that ended with Asia finally boarding the airplane and taking off to Japan, to her new and hopefully more forgiving life.

And fasting forward to now, with Asia finally only a few minutes away from setting foot onto Kuoh's grounds.

“Everybody, The plane successfully landed, so let me formally welcome you all to Japan!”

Asia's attention was caught by the flight attendant’s beautiful melodic voice as she lightly bowed towards their direction. And that seemed to startle her, so she hurriedly looked towards the window at her side, to only find that the plane truly landed and she was finally in Japan

She was obviously quite shaken, not by arriving to Japan obviously, but by all the events that happened to her prior, she, who was once a pure girl raised all her life in the church and thus devoted her entire life to the church, to be suddenly cast aside at a heart beat, and exiled to a foreign land without any mercy or remorse.

“Miss Asia Argento, is their something that's bothering you?”

Having been distracted again, she was similarly awoken by the beautiful attendant's voice, only to notice that she is the only one remaining on her seat.

“N…No, thank you for asking”

She managed to reply without issue, and proceed to calm herself down and to recall her mother's instructions while she descended from the airplane.

'Mother said that someone named Azazel will help me go to the devils, she said he was a man in a trench coat with dirty blonde hair, but I don't see anyone with these characteristics'

She took a look towards the crowd of people that was waiting for their acquaintances at the airport, and no matter how much she looked, she couldn't find the man named Azazel anywhere.

She didn't get the chance to do anything, when a tall man with black hair and black eyes, wearing a wired looking suit approached her and smiled.

“Asia Argento, correct? Welcome to Japan”

He held out his hand for a handshake, which the blonde nun took nervously, and after she took a deep breath, she asked hesitantly.

“T-Thank Y-You, A-Are you mister Azazel?”

The main shook the nun's hand and smiled kindly, then he let go of her hands and lightly shook his head.

“No miss Asia, but I'm his subordinate, my name is Kokabiel”

He smiled kindly again, but Asia didn't notice the shadow forming behind that seemingly bright smile.
