The Box Office King of Hollywood

Chapter 126: Capturing Footage

"Maybe they're just going in to shower..."

Standing in the hallway, Ben Foster entertained the thought, "Perhaps the showers on their floor are really broken."

However, he dismissed this idea as soon as it appeared.

Tom Hardy and Matthew, along with James McAvoy, were sworn enemies. Could their presence here at this time just be a coincidence?

Ben Foster stood in the hallway, looking down at his feet, knowing these were all excuses.

If it were only Tom Hardy entering, he wouldn't hesitate. The problem was that Johnny Lee Miller, one of the biggest stars of the crew, was with Tom Hardy!

He was just a minor actor. Offending one of the crew's biggest stars would make his future in Morocco unbearable.

Ben Foster was still hesitating, worried about what those two might do to Matthew and afraid of offending Johnny Lee Miller.

"There are two of them, and Matthew is alone..." he muttered, "If there's a conflict, Matthew will definitely be at a disadvantage. Matthew has been good to me..."

Muttering to himself, Ben Foster suddenly remembered how Matthew had helped him that afternoon. If not for Matthew's timely intervention, he would have surely ended up with a cracked skull.

With this thought, Ben Foster no longer hesitated and sprinted towards the dormitory of Matthew and James McAvoy.

Upon entering the washroom, Tom Hardy and Johnny Lee Miller immediately locked the door to avoid interruptions. They then pulled out a handheld camera from the bag, turned on its light, quickly adjusted the lens in the changing area, and proceeded inside.

Matthew had just rinsed the foam off his head when he heard noises outside but didn't pay much attention, assuming someone else had come in to shower.

He had just opened the shower gel when footsteps approached, followed by a blinding white light, and he vaguely saw two figures, one of whom was holding something.

The area was dimly lit, and the light from the other side was too bright, causing Matthew to squint and unable to see clearly.

"Wow... wow... wow..." An exaggerated voice sounded, familiar, "John, look at this, it's outrageous!"

The voice instantly made Matthew think of someone. As his eyes gradually adjusted to the light, he could vaguely make out the situation.

Without a second thought, Matthew grabbed a towel nearby and wrapped it around himself.

He could now see clearly that the intruders were Tom Hardy and Johnny Lee Miller, with Tom holding a handheld camera and Johnny carrying a bag.

"Don't hide." Tom Hardy stood a bit inside from the door, the camera still aimed this way, "We've got all we need!"

He was clearly in a good mood, "Didn't expect that, Matthew Horn, you're quite well-endowed. Being an actor is a waste; you should consider a change in profession."

Tom Hardy laughed heartily, "Some bars in Los Angeles would definitely welcome someone like you!"

He seemed too happy to stop laughing.

Matthew turned off the water and scanned Tom Hardy and Johnny Lee Miller.

He knew they had captured something.

"What do you want?" Matthew asked calmly, looking at them, "Speak up."

"Nothing much!" Tom Hardy, who turned off the camera, replied, "Just capturing some footage."

Matthew stared at them. Did these two think they could blackmail him with just this footage? He was a man, not a woman!

Guessing his thoughts, Johnny Lee Miller took off his backpack, unzipped it, and began pulling out various items while saying, "I want to play a game with you."

Tom Hardy added ominously, "Johnny has some very special hobbies."

They hadn't seen anyone nearby on their way here, and now only Matthew Horn was present, giving them plenty of time to toy with this bastard, just like Matthew had done to him in the bar.

First verbally attack, then physically, and finally embarrass him nationally! Tom Hardy felt this was the only way to vent the frustration that had built up over time.

Matthew instantly became more alert, then saw Johnny Lee Miller pulling out item after item from the backpack... some of which he couldn't name but knew their purposes.

The items were revealed slowly, each deliberately shown to him to create psychological pressure.

Johnny Lee Miller had such hobbies?

He hadn't captured anything related to this before. Now, seeing it, he was somewhat surprised but remembered the models' exhausted appearances from before and suddenly understood.

Even if Johnny Lee Miller was very powerful, it was impossible for him to face six people alone without resorting to underhanded methods.

Unfortunately, that hadn't been captured.

Matthew also realized something: Johnny Lee Miller being here probably confirmed his involvement with Angelina Jolie...

"Don't worry, don't worry..." Tom Hardy suddenly laughed, "We're just filming a bit, won't hurt you."

As he spoke, Johnny Lee Miller pulled out two stun guns from the backpack.

Tom Hardy set the camera down at the doorway and took one, saying, "We spent a lot of money to deal with you, getting these here wasn't easy." He pressed it, and a faint sound of electricity buzzed, "Matthew Horn, just don't resist. We'll let you go after we're done."

Johnny Lee Miller then took out a black hood, preparing to wear it.

He had only spoken once, with the rest of the talk done by Tom Hardy, "Did you know there are websites for people with special hobbies on the internet? We'll upload your edited clip there, guaranteeing overnight fame for you!"

Matthew's gaze moved past the two, towards the exit.

Although he had been working out and training, even practicing boxing for an extended period, facing two men, especially someone as robust as Tom Hardy, was challenging.

If it were just one person, even with a stun gun, he was 90% confident he could take them down. With two, it became more difficult.

Matthew wasn't arrogant enough to think he could easily defeat two strong men. There might be a possibility, but the risk was too great. Being stunned by one of them, let alone what awaited him after, was unthinkable.

And if it went up on the internet, it would be an indelible stain...

"No use looking." Tom Hardy snorted, "We've locked the door! You can't escape! And there's nobody in the hallway, no one will see! Screaming for help is useless!"

Matthew looked around for anything that could be used as a weapon, saying, "I'll call the police!"

Hoping the threat of police would scare them off.

Tom Hardy laughed, "Where's your phone? Go on, call the police."

Matthew was speechless. Who brings their phone to a shower?

"Calling the police won't help!" Tom Hardy seemed to have thought everything through, "This is Edwards Air Force Base; the police can't touch this place! Complaining to the crew won't do any good..."

He clearly enjoyed cornering Matthew verbally, relishing in some perverse pleasure, "With Johnny here, in the crew, you're nothing! Even if someone saw us entering, it doesn't matter. You're out of the crew, a major role opens up. If Johnny suggests to Jerry Bruckheimer to replace you..."

Tom Hardy took a step forward, "Do you think anyone will stand up for you?"

Matthew had to admit, Tom Hardy made a lot of sense. This was a world where everyone was busy fighting for fame and fortune...

From Tom Hardy's words, he also gleaned some information. Johnny Lee Miller's entry into the crew was definitely through Jerry Bruckheimer, the most powerful man in the crew, with whom Matthew had no connection.

But this was of no use in escaping his current predicament: to run, the door was locked, and he couldn't get out immediately; to not run, could he take down these two men?

Matthew's eyes darted around, searching for a suitable weapon.

The showerhead's metal pipe was bolted to the concrete wall with expansion bolts. Before he could dismantle it, the two would likely have stunned him.

Then he saw the shampoo, shower gel, and the damp towel.

"Alright!" Johnny Lee Miller stood up after taking everything out.

Tom Hardy nodded and slowly approached Matthew, seemingly enjoying the cat-and-mouse game.

"Just let us tie you up." Tom Hardy pressed the stun gun again, the sparks seemingly dancing, "Being hit doesn't feel good! You'll see for yourself on the internet later..."

Matthew slowly backed away, remembering some stun guns could shoot out dart-like projectiles.

Johnny Lee Miller suddenly spoke, "Matthew Horn! Today, you will pay for your actions!"

Tom Hardy looked at Johnny Lee Miller, still unclear why he hated Matthew Horn so much.

It didn't need much thought; his willingness to confront Matthew Horn was enough.

Johnny Lee Miller sternly said, "Matthew Horn! Do you remember what you've done? You despicable, shameless bastard! You lowly driver!"

"Thought you wouldn't speak." Matthew realized, Johnny Lee Miller had been holding back a lot of words. Although the root of their issue was with him, he couldn't just let himself be slaughtered. While retreating, he said, "Can we calm down a bit? We can resolve this in another way."

The two paid no heed, slowly closing in step by step.
