Peter almost broke his back trying to lift Kevin off the ground. No surprise, given Kevin's skeletal system, was made of super-dense, evolved Crystalsapien crystals. Security had to intervene, struggling to lift Kevin. Three burly men in black suits perspired intensely, nearly out of breath, carrying an embarrassed Kevin. But Kevin weighed only a little more than someone with the same BMI.

Am I really that heavy?’ Kevin thought to himself but played the part of the unconscious victim.

“Hold on let me get it.” Peter said as he slid his card on a scanner near the door which caused the floor below them to be highlighted with a green light.

The guards then dropped Kevin with little difficulty on a medic bed that sustained his weight well which proved he was just a little heavy.

“Of course, let’s get started.” Peter rubbed his temples in frustration and waved the guards off who were all too happy not to have another workout in the middle of their job.

“Let’s see what we have here…” Peter murmured to himself as he searched Kevin’s Jacket for anything valuable.

Meanwhile, the nanites released by Kevin began hacking the facility until it gained admin privileges and sent signals to Kevin’s brain which brought a wide smile to Kevin’s face.

Peter who was about to celebrate that he had gotten the crystals from Kevin and Kevin himself as a lab rat, began to envision himself on a cruise ship having little to no worries in life. But before he could celebrate, he saw a devilish grin on Kevin’s face.

He was in a room where only he had the access key to, he knew the future would look bleak if he didn’t do something now. In that same instant, Peter reached for his waist, where he is gun was strapped and immediately pulled the trigger in front of the teenager.

BANG, BANG, BANG!

Three shots were fired and Peter got up immediately from his crouched position. One thing he knew about elite werewolves was their insane health regeneration. His department had experience dealing with such creatures and that led him to reach for the cabinets behind him while pointing his gun at Kevin. He didn’t believe for one second that Kevin would die to normal bullets.

Why me? Why me?’ Peter kept regretting all the decisions he made that led to this point as his free hand began rustling through cabinets while keeping his eyes and gun trained on Kevin.

Soon enough, the figure in front of him got up and what he saw made him gulp down hard.

Two bullets appeared to be squeezed into Kevin’s face, while one was between his teeth while wearing that same menacing grin.

“Is that how you conduct business with your customers?” Kevin asked after spitting the bullet in his mouth.

“I… I… ah…” Peter couldn’t help but stammer but his eyes widened for a second and pointed another gun at Kevin’s face.

“I know you werewolves can smell it! There’s silver in these bullets along with wolfsbane so you are done… haha...” Peter immediately gained his confidence but was still too frightened to do anything at the moment which was rare for him since he was quite experienced in hunting werewolves.

“Listen now, if you surrender nicely… maybe I won’t have to kill you… just tell me which pack you are from.” Peter managed to get over his fears when he thought of vacations on the beach and such luxuries when he delivered this high specimen to the government.

“What? Werewolf? How? Is it because of my hair?” Kevin was indeed surprised about what came out of Peter’s mouth but this time he didn’t detect any lies which confused him even more.

“PETER! OPEN UP! WE HEARD SHOTS!”

“DAMNIT! GET THAT I.T. NERD TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!”

Shouts echoed outside the door. Peter’s confidence swelled, assured he wouldn’t end up like his friend who was ripped apart by a werewolf in their last hunt.

“See… stop being stubborn and surrender!” Peter said with a smile on his face as put the gun on Kevin’s forehead.

Kevin only needed to sigh out loud and the man in front of him froze solid immediately.

“Try not to fall.” Kevin teased.

“I only have a few minutes before they bypass that door… hold on. I hacked the place, so they can’t enter unless they brute-force their way in.” Kevin paused and relaxed as his hair began to lose its colour and turned red.

Grabbing hold of Peter's frozen body, he quickly defrosted him much to the surprise of Peter whose teeth were already chattering from the cold.

“W-who are you?” Peter asked, dropping his guns and rubbing his body for warmth.

“Doesn’t matter… right?” Kevin asked as he took a chair and sat on it.

“Hmm… it didn’t break. See I am not heavy!” Kevin noted as he tapped the chair, he didn’t like the way Peter portrayed him earlier as if he were a hippo!

“Peter, it doesn’t matter right?” Kevin asked once more, this time with a regal smile on his face.

“Of course not sir.” Peter answered shakily.

“Want me to warm you up?” Kevin offered as flames gathered around his palm.

“That wouldn’t be necessary Sir.” Peter answered swiftly, trying not to piss off someone who could flash-freeze him in an instant and could wield flames as well.

“See, this is good customer service. Why didn’t we start like this earlier Peter? I want to know.” Kevin leaned forward with his chin resting on his fingers.

“I… I thought you were one of the werewolves that…” Peter tried to explain but was cut off by Kevin.

“Tell your dogs outside that everything is alright will you? Or is it not?” Kevin gave a knowing look that Peter recognized too well and picked up his radio from his waist strap.

“If you do anything otherwise or signal for help… it won’t end well Peter. Am I clear?” Kevin led the conversation as he wanted to test his abilities to sense intent, lies and truth to know if it was a gut feeling or something more.

“Absolutely sir.” Peter replied and this time, it wasn’t a lie.
