The Crazy Adventures of Kevin

CHAPTER FIFTY-THREE: NEW CAR.

Julian soon arrived at a snazzy-looking dealership with showroom glasses and expensive ceiling lighting.

“They are still open at this time?” Kevin asked, curious as to why a dealership would open this late.

“This dealership is open twenty-four hours Sir,” Julian replied promptly and pulled over to park.

The duo exited the car and headed inside the showroom, the pair didn’t go unnoticed as Kevin and Julian appeared to be your typical Butler and young master duo even though Julian appeared quite young; one would easily assume Kevin was the young master in this scenario.

“Good evening and welcome to our fine establishment, Sirs.” A rather bright and bubbly salesman appeared as soon as the pair stepped into the showroom.

Julian could only wince when he saw the salesman trying to get his commission reminded him of how he and his colleagues acted around high-profile customers back at the suite. He still accepted that’s the way things were but still found the technique of this employee rather… green.

“Would you like to check out the latest Porsc…”

“I would like a challenger if you don’t mind.”

“You mean a Dodge Challenger right?”

“Yes, I would like that.”

Did I overestimate the value of this customer? Isn’t the person behind his butler or guardian?’ The salesman thought to himself but still maintained his smile.

“Oh. Okay, no problem. Would you like it customized? Better suspensions…”

“I am fine with it. Let’s get the paperwork done.”

Tch. This one clearly knows what he wants. Is that his budget? Who wouldn’t want to customize their challenger?’ The salesman kept his thoughts to himself and led the way to his office.

“So, which car here do you like?” Kevin whispered into Julian’s ear.

Ha! Is it my time? Is he joking? Am I finally going to change the hand-me-down car from my uncle? I have no problem with you Dorothy but I can’t turn down an opportunity to be sponsored like this.’ Juliann thought but quickly calmed himself.

“Are you serious Sir?” Julian leaned forward asking in a low tone.

“Go ahead while the offer lasts!”

“Excuse me!” Julian called the attention of the aloof salesman who was walking alone to his office and much to his surprise, he thought they were following since!

“Ha, ah! Excuse me. Did you want something else?” The salesman asked.

“Do you happen to have a Rolls Royce Ghost?”

.

.

The salesman happily completed the paperwork with Kevin and Julian and went on ahead to brag to his colleagues about his sales tonight.

“You can go on ahead Julian. I’ll catch up.”

“Alright then, I will be waiting for you at the reception Sir. Thank you once again for this kind favour! This will help me get high-end chauffeur jobs in the future.” Julian stated with a bow.

“So you were even thinking that far ahead. I thought you just wanted it for the class it gave?”

“There is class alright. But thank you again, Sir.” Julian said as he took his time to adore his new car.

Kevin shook his head slowly with a smile and left with his newly acquired car as well.

Driving into a junkyard, Kevin with his higher senses made sure to check that no one was around him or passing by.

After confirming that he relaxed himself and micronanites escaped from his body into the car.

The car began to transform in real-time as Kevin made modifications that suited him. His nanites broke down waste car parts around and added it to his new ride.

The initial black colour also changed to green with black stripes.

After three minutes of body customization, his new car was set as he drove out of the now empty car junkyard and his engine roar signalled its rebirth, announcing a new mechanical phenomenon being born.

“This is… sweet!!!” Kevin smiled widely as information about his car flooded his brain.

One of the things that made him happy was that he could use his abilities freely with the car as if it were an extension of himself.

Let’s test that theory.’ Kevin thought as he stepped on the gas.

The roar of his engine caused many to turn their heads… but all they saw was the dust from his car, meaning his car was reaching illegal road driving speeds!

Kevin’s door window was down of course. His hair flew backwards as he enjoyed the freedom of the night and the beauty of the stars above.

“THIS IS AWESOME!!! WHOOO!!! THIS IS BETTER THAN…”

Kevin saw two cars and a traffic light twenty feet ahead of him and kicked his brakes as his car came to a full stop without throwing him out of the car. Kevin was star-struck but quickly used his clutch soon after. He had just gone over three hundred miles an hour and came to a full stop without feeling like he had just done three hundred miles an hour.

“This… is going to be addicting.” Kevin had a worrying smile on his face as adrenaline flowed through his body.

“Whoa!!”

“What kind of car is that?”

“Do my eyes deceive me?”

“It just… it just stopped!”

“That’s not natural.”

“Gunther… (facepalms)… what is natural about a car?”

Kevin couldn’t help but smile sheepishly hearing comments from the sidewalks.

The lights turned green and Kevin revved the engine while leaving it in park causing the rubber on his tyres to burn. He waited for the cars in front of him to move for some distance before launching his car forward.

The drivers that went ahead of Kevin weren’t racing anyone but were surprised at how fast Kevin’s car went, and that caused their cars to literally move out of the way. In that same second Kevin saw another car in front of him but he didn’t slow down.

His car went through another car without destroying it, as if it dematerialized.

The passengers of the car Kevin went through thought they were going through a fever dream seeing a car pass through them. Some of them decided to stop doing psychedelics from that night forward.

“IT WORKS!” Kevin celebrated.

Kevin soon arrived at the hotel and saw Julian ahead parking in the staff parking lot. Kevin pulled up to the front.

The valet was star-struck looking at custom wheels that were spinning backwards even though the car had already stopped.

“Here’s the key.” Kevin got out of his ride and gave the key to the valet who was still inspecting the stock of the car.
