The Hunter That Returned From Hell

Chapter 84: Goblins

The plants that Kang-Ho noticed were very different from the ones found on earth, he had not even seen these kinds of plants on hell. This was the first time for him seeing these kinds of plants. Kang-Ho kept walking and exploring the dungeon all around, he didn’t let any stone go unturned. As Kang-Ho was roaming around the forest searching for some clues about the pocket dimension, Kang-Ho suddenly saw a flash of green light coming from a direction a little ahead. The light wasn’t that bright it was just a dim light, but that was enough for Kang-Ho in this kind of dark environment.

After noticing the light Kang-Ho started to move towards that direction immediately, As Kang-Ho started to move in the direction Kang-Ho felt presence of some enemies. From afar Kang-Ho could tell that they were humanoid, but not humans, because Kang-Ho could see their eyes glowing red from afar. Kang-Ho gripped his dagger and moved forward to greet his new enemy. As Kang-Ho moved towards the enemy he finally saw the creatures.

After seeing the names of the goblins Kang-Ho had already decided to get rid of the mage and the healer first. Kang-Ho still didn’t have any ability that helped him against the mage ranged class so Kang-Ho was always annoyed whenever he saw a ranged attacker.

Kang-Ho hoped that he would get something that might help him against a ranged attacker. Kang-Ho used his skill void walk as the goblins had still not noticed him so far.

Kang-Ho walked around the goblins to reach the goblin mage as the mage and the healer were at the back. Kang-Ho was successful at arriving behind the goblin, he waited for some time to make sure that there were no humans around to interrupt the fight. After he was sure there were no one around. Kang-Ho leapt towards the Mage with his daggers drawn.

Mages always had poor physical reflexes and defence against close range attacks, so when Kang-Ho attacked the mage he was shocked beyond belief and couldn’t move. Kang-Ho’ dagger came crashing down on the back of the goblin.

“KWIIIII” the mage screamed in pain.

“KYUU?” other goblins gasped in surprise. The goblins couldn’t believe that someone had managed to sneak past them and attacked the mage.

After stabbing the goblin one time Kang-Ho retreated as the mage started chanting something. as the mage was chanting the healer also started chanting something while pointing towards the wounded mage. It didn’t take long for the mage to finish his chant, as the chant finished a huge icicle formed beside him and he pointed his staff and pointed at his direction. Just as the mage pointed the staff towards him the icicle moved at a very high speed, the speed was so fast that if Kang-Ho wasn’t a little fast he would have been hit by the icicle.

As Kang-Ho dodged the attack of the mage, the icicle dropped on the ground creating a huge noise and crater behind Kang-ho the icicle even froze the ground around it after its impact to the ground. The crated icicle created was huge, it seemed if Kang-ho didn’t take care of the mage fast he was going to be a huge problem for him.

“KIIII!” after seemingly failing the attack the mage was furious as he shouted towards its subordinates, and signalled to attack Kang-Ho. After hearing the command of the mage all 5 of the soldier responded quickly and started to run towards Kang-Ho. They planned to outnumber Kang-Ho and get their revenge.

As the soldiers moved forward the healer was healing the injured mage as fast as possible. Although the healer didn’t seem like he was helping on the battlefield, but in truth he was far more important in battle than the soldiers. The healer was rapidly healing the wound that Kang-Ho inflicted to the mage just now. The healer was doing a very great job, in just some little time he had managed to almost fully heal the wound. The healing ability of the goblin was very overpowering.

‘if I had a healer like him with mee I wouldn’t have to worry about anything.’ Kang-Ho thought.

The soldiers attacked Kang-Ho almost immediately, he had to defend himself, he didn’t get the chance to even dodge as a lot of small icicles rained around Kang-Ho. This was obviously work of the mage, preventing Kang-ho from having the room to dodge the attack. Kang-Ho managed to block the attacks made by the soldiers. Kang-Ho countered by swinging his dagger and targeting hand of a goblin holding a sword, before even he could realize what had happened to him blood started to flow from his hand which now didn’t have anything starting from wrist up.

“KRIIIIII” cried the goblin in agony, as he felt the pain finally seep into his body. The pain seemed unbearable, but still the gobbling picked the sword up with his other hand and pounced towards Kang-Ho. Nerves on the goblin’s body were bulging due to the extreme pain he was feeling but still he pounced at Kang-Ho without a care for its life.

“KIIIII” shouted the goblin like a war cry. The other goblins were dumbstruck for a moment seeing their comrade running towards their enemy without a fear of its life.

“KUUU!” shouted the mage with excitement, it seemed like the courage of the goblin had given morale boost to the all the goblins present there. Kang-ho was surprised when he saw everyone attacking at once, to Kang-Ho it seemed like they had found a new hope. Just as the goblin closed in towards Kang-Ho, he used all of his strength to attack the goblin. Kang-Ho’s aim was the neck of the goblin.

The soldier was so blinded by the anger that it didn’t even notice the dagger coming towards its neck, the goblin was just focused on attacking Kang-Ho and finishing him off. That’s all that was in its mind. As the goblin was in no condition to see what was going on the situation, Kang-ho had successfully managed to stab the goblin on its neck, as Kang-Ho had used all of the force the dagger had managed to pierce through the brain of the goblin.

“kuukkkk?” Squealed the goblin in pain, after getting stabbed the goblin finally came out of rage. But when he realized what had happened to him it was already too late to do anything. All other goblins came to a halt when they saw what happened to their comrade, even the mage stopped its chanting. It seemed like all the courage that had got from moments ago all had been drained as they saw the goblin soldier fall to the ground lifelessly after its death.

Kang-Ho suddenly, heard some noises coming from behind, although Kang-Ho was not certain how far it was but he was sure they were humans and they were approaching towards him. Kang-Ho guessed that they had also witnessed the light.
