The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 139 - Marriage In Upcoming Days!

Chapter 139 - Marriage In Upcoming Days!

At this time, Jennifer stood against the door of the washroom with her uneven breathing inside her lungs.

She can feel her heart beating at such a high speed, making her feel dizzy but at the same time, she can't understand the mixed emotions which surfaced.

'The Kiss…' subconsciously, her fingers traveled to her lips, touching the corner lightly, not understanding what just happened with her.

Kissing might be an ordinary thing but for her, it wasn't. Until now, she had thought that she would only allow one person in her entire life and that would be her husband, no one else except that.

The reason? It was very much simple and that was because she doesn't want any past memory in her mind.

Keeping herself reserved for her one and only, who will occupy her heart fully and someone with whom she will spend her entire life, making each bit of memory.

Yet the thought was passed down and crumbled into wrinkles when she pressed her lips against his in front of everyone, making her heart crawl.

The courage, she has died from where that mouth of confidence was predicted inside her heart but she was glad it did and somehow she gave Emily quite a good answer back too.

Unfortunately, Javier came closer to her and kissed her deeply, making their legs go weak. She can't feel her own limbs due to the heavy load of her heart.

'Does everyone feel the same whenever they kiss someone?' she isn't able to figure it out, yet her urge to call Hannah and have a conversation with her increased a lot.

The girl must have experienced in the same field and this won't be new to her best friend, unlike her who is totally inexperienced and never even let another guy touch her.

Moreover, Javier's actions and touches were bringing her to feel magic in her stomach.

She felt the sense of something known, her craving for it just kept on increasing.

It wasn't good for her yet why does she feel as if, this was the thing she was missing in her entire life? It was entirely unknown to her...

Her entire face was as white as any marble sheet. Instead of excitement, her heart was filled with dread and uneasiness.

As her diaphragm expanded and relaxed, Jennifer was able to breathe but it was too full to overcome the fear.

'Gosh… what have I even done?' Walking through the washbasin, Jennifer lifted her eyes to stare at herself.

Her face was red as a tomato with her ears white. "Not like kissing is a crime.. right?"

Knowing that her heart was constantly feeling something more than being friends, she denied the option very clearly in her mind.

But at the same time, she did give the thought again after the full-on drama that was held early in the morning.

Was getting attached to a person like him will be fine?

Especially when she is Lucas's fiance and… the man is crazily wanting to marry her?!

A faint smile curved on her face when she recalled all the events that took place until now.

It was strange for her to know but somehow she can never deny that her heart was constantly feeling something foreign.

"Don't tell me… I have started liking my own kidnapper.."

….

Javier freshened up in the adjoining room. Without getting late, he went down to the hall where breakfast was being served.

At the thought of facing his family again after the morning dose of the drama, he knew that it will not be an easy task either.

Descending the stairs, he folded his sleeves off his shirt and looked at their members at the table. "You all are ready already?"

"We have work to do, unlike you, who is too free," Shawn commented back when he lifted his eyes to glance at his son.

Unaware that his son already has a company to manage in his hand.

Ignoring his words like thin air, Javier took the seat beside his father while another chair beside him was left empty.

On the other hand, Charles sat opposite Shawn and Shawn on his left. Shirley, as always on the right of Shawn and Emily was beside her.

The butler served him breakfast on his arrival, placing the food on his plate. "Thank you," he commented back in a light tone and Butler nodded his head

At the same time, Javier took the spoon and started eating the served breakfast when his father started lecturing him. "Javier, you are already a grown-up person but.. you have nothing to do in your hands."

"When your brother was in your age he was already managing the Johnsons Business on his own. Learn from him, he hasn't revolted to me even once."

Once again the comparison started. Javier maintained a poker face as usual and didn't utter anything with respect to this.

In his eyes, this was totally a waste to even say when his father was against him from the very start.

Seeing that his words didn't make any sense to Javier, Shawn was getting angry when fury took over his eyes. "Javier. I'm talking to you!"

"I have ears and I heard you. But at least I have control of my mouth and I don't have anything to reply." As simple as that, he expressed his views.

When Charles noted that once again, his brother was compared to him, a deep sigh escaped his mouth.

Looking at his father, he spoke with much sweeter gone. "Dad.. not once again, please. Javier has his own life and I have my own. See us as separate two individuals, rather than one.."

"You are right but he needs to do something too.. other than spending time with a hostage, when he should spend some quality time with his fiance he's interested in some other girl."

Shawn's words were no less provocative and Javier himself is aware of how much self-control he needed at this point.

While Shirley was enjoying the fight, she gave her husband a look to continue which he later on did.

"It is finalized, Javier is getting married to Emily in the upcoming few days."
