Chapter 171 - Start Of Something Fresh!?

Chapter 171 - Start Of Something Fresh!?

Clueless about how will her best friend will react to this?

Jennifer bit her lower lip in hesitation where she was full of thoughts and mixed emotions.

"Javier?" Hannam asked with doubts, which made Jennifer realize that she hasn't told her the name yet, "The person who had kidnapped me was named Javier! He is a really nice guy and kept me nicely too."

"But why will he allow me to come over in his state? I mean… It might be his any t- '' Hannah was cut off in the middle when Jennifer answered shook her head in this matter.

"Just to give me some company. Your safety will be properly handled by him. See, if you can get any transfer from your job since you are working for an international firm.."

Jennifer knew that unlike her, her best friend was carrier oriented. After graduating, she had various opportunities from various sources with good salary too.

Because of the same reason, her best friend took her job first abroad and afterward in her state.

When she was convinced that when her marriage was getting fixed, her best friend also got a transfer to her state.

Morvest, her best friend, is already an orphan. Losing her parents at a tender age, she is someone who is entirely dependent on her real self instead of asked help from others

"Jennifer… Are you going to have a long stay there?" This question was related to many things and Jennifer had to think twice before answering anything.

The question of hers wasn't only an answer to her best friend but also to her own self. Was she willing to stay?

Giving it few minutes, Jennifer didn't utter a single word with respect to this.

Patiently, Hannah held to the lines, hoping to get some possible answer from Jennifer's side.

At last, Jennifer held the railing of the balcony tightly and looked at the view from the place.

Raising her eyes, she shifted her gaze towards the sky to feel the cold breeze hitting her soft skin.

"Yes. I have a plan to stay here for a long… but for how much time.. I don't know myself. If you can… try it once and let me know.."

Jennifer answered confusingly, but honestly.

There was uncertainty too at some part of hers but she wasn't willing to hide it from her friend.

Giving it some thought to herself Hannah answered from the other side, "Alright. I will try my best to get a job there in a few months or weeks. Do not worry.."

The talks shifted to another topic and for almost one hour they had conversion full light-hearted.

Getting confirmation from her side, Jennifer was a relief since she knew that her best friend will use all the measures to come by her side.

This might be selfish though she is doing yet at this point, she does need her help.

Going through tons of sentiments is making her feel puzzled and on the other hand, it is taking a mental toll as well.

Meanwhile, Javier tapped out of the washroom when he walked towards the balcony to see Jennifer done with the talk and staring at the sky with the glittered eyes.

Stepping towards her slowly, he stood by her side without making any noise, "Have you talked with her?"

"Hmm.. she said she will revert back in a day or so." Javier nodded her head in return.

With silence between them and in the night, it gave both of them another level of satisfaction that no words can provide to either of them.

Peeking at her trace from the corner of his eyes, what he noted was how she shines. A few minutes ago, she was in utmost sadness.

'True.. a heart-to-heart conversation will lighten up your mood. Looks like.. caging her will never pull her closer to me but giving her own freedom and space will.'

The thought crossed his mind.

Earlier, he tried to cage her and cut her network with everyone.

Upon realization, he understood the reason behind her actions too.

She found another Luca within him who is bent on caging her freedom but he has no such intentions.

Such experiences were new to him but he is grateful that he is going through the process with her.

"Javier.. Javier!" Jennifer yelled his name, pulling him out of the daze which he was in.

Looking at his surroundings, he looked at her with a confusional look but then asked, "what?"

A faint smile lingered on her face which was enough for him to feel a skip of heart..

"Thank you.. for letting me talk with her.."

"No need. As I said, your happiness is important and hopefully, you have the same smile which I wanted. So it's not an issue."

Neither of them changed their position rather, Jennifer out of blue kept her head on his biceps and stared at the sky with his gentleness tugging her head.

He was taken back but didn't refute either. Why should he? When this came the feeling of heaven.

'Is this.. the start of something new and afresh?'

…..

Two days after.

Days have passed since they all visited the Lucas in the deserted area.

Many of them are awaiting g for further deals and communication and all yet there was none.

Tonight, Charles was currently present in the banquet hall held by one of his investors. Since the person was a good friend of his, he decided to go and personally attend the same.

"I didn't think that Mr. Johnson will show his presence at a mere banquet held for an anniversary." Said an old man while taking a sip of wine.

Charles chose to wore formals, making him look dashing in the piece he choose.

Letting chuckle escape his lips, he lifted his eyes, "A banquet is a banquet. No matter what the occasion might be, gents like us.. are always there for business talks.. aren't we?"

"Agreed on the talks." Another investor said and all of them aligned but then, the talks were shifted to some more gossip of new people in the market.

"I heard.. There is a man in our state. His name is Austin Brown and he is.. here for some business deals.. looks like someone from a foreign land."
