The Misfit of Demon King Academy

Chapter 160.1

  • Chapter 160 : The traveling entertainer passing by

As I stood there to protect Igareth, Davidra gave me a grim look.

He focused his Magic Eyes on me, as if to peer into my power.

“…Who’s this runt, and where did he come from?” (Davidra)

“…That magic power… He’s a demon…?” (Demon soldier B)

“…Whose kid is that…?” (Demon soldier C)

The demon soldiers surrounding the area asked all sorts of questions.

I took advantage of their confusion to cast <Healing Ent> on Igareth and heal his wounds.

“Stay calm, Igareth. This’ll all be over soon.” (Anos)

“…Who are you?” (Igareth)

“Just a traveling entertainer.” (Anos)

Davidra took a quick step forward, and said in a sharp tone.

“Kid. You’re a demon too, so why are you saving a human? This one is the seventh heir to the throne of Azesion. And a blood relative of the Hero Jerga, the human king who killed our compatriots without mercy.” (Davidra)

“Davidra. If this boy were the one who killed your child, I would’ve let you take revenge.” (Anos)

He reacted with suspicion when I called him by his name.

“But Igareth is just a powerless child. Far from killing our people, he hasn’t even harmed a single one of them. Did the Demon King Anos ever approve of murdering an innocent human?” (Anos)

Davidra frowned at my words.

“Even you, boy, shouldn’t be unaware of what Jerga did. He used a demon baby who had no fighting skills as a hostage, and brutally executed him. And he deliberately made the screams audible to lure our soldiers into a monstrous trap. Even your own comrades may have been killed.” (Davidra)

“My friends are dead. I lost too many to count.” (Anos)

When I glared at him, my killing intent made Davidra and the other demons flinch.

They were beginning to realize the unfathomable magic power lurking in the depths of my abyss.

“But if you blame Azesion as a whole and run your own pride into the ground, then you’re no better than those humans you despise.” (Anos)

The moment I said those words, the man right behind Davidra jumped at me.

“You damn brat! I don’t know where you heard all that, but don’t you dare run your mouth on us like a know-it-all! Can’t you see that it’s because we’re the shield of this country that you’re still alive!?” (Demon soldier C)

That man tried to hit my torso with a powerful kick.

If it actually landed, it’d be powerful enough to shatter a wall.

However, I intercepted it with one finger.

“…Wha…!?” (Demon soldier C)

“No matter how much you resent, hate, and kill the humans, your hearts will only be consumed by darkness.” (Anos)

I grabbed the man by the leg, and lifted up his entire body.

“W-Whoa…!?” (Demon soldier C)

The demon instantly used the <Mass Increase Dedon> spell to increase his own weight.

In the blink of an eye, he weighed over 500kg, and even though he was still getting heavier, I paid it no mind and swung him around at leisure.

“W-Whoooa…!? What’s with… this runt…!? I should be over a few tons heavy by now…!” (Demon soldier C)

Hmm. He’s a little heavy for my six-year-old body.

But this is nothing compared to the moon.

I rotated my body on the spot, and twirled the man around with even more force.

“G-Gaaahh…!! This can’t beeee…!!” (Demon soldier C)

“Here, make sure you catch him.” (Anos)

As if to release all the momentum I had built up swinging him around, I threw the man, who had turned into a mass of several tons, at the group of soldiers surrounding us with all my might.

“—-Wha!?” (Demon soldier C)

The ground burst open with a bang. Perhaps it all happened faster than they anticipated, as the soldiers who tried to avoid him using <Flight Fless> couldn’t dodge in time, and were blown away along with the one I just tossed.

“You snotty brat…!” (Demon soldier D)

The remaining soldiers drew magic circles in front of them. The center of them morphed into cannon muzzles, and jet-black suns emerged from them. Those were <Hell Flame Annihilation Mortar Jio Graze> spells. Looks like they realized what I was capable of.

“Get out of the way. I’m not saying this for the sake of torturing him to death, but if Jerga’s bloodline still lives, then the deceased won’t be able to rest in peace.” Davidra declared.

I took his hateful gaze head-on, and spoke up.

“I have no doubt that those who heroically died on our land must’ve had lingering regrets. No short amount of them died out of hatred and resentment toward humans. But even so, don’t you dare attribute that hatred of yours to the dead.” (Anos)

“Cut the crap, you brat! What the hell do you know!!?” (Davidra)

More than a dozen of the soldiers fired their <Hell Flame Annihilation Mortar Jio Graze> in an attempt to burn me to the ground along with Igareth.

The jet-black suns were fired loudly, and landed on my body one after another, scorching my skin and burning my flesh.

However, the black flames never reached Igareth behind me.

“…What…in the…?” (Demon soldier D)

“…No way… I can’t believe it… He’s still standing after taking more than a dozen rounds of <Hell Flame Annihilation Mortar Jio Graze>…” (Demon soldier E)

The soldiers spoke in astonishment.

They tried to see through my power with their Magic Eyes without letting their guard down, but the more they peered into my abyss, the more their faces were painted in disbelief.

“…How come… you didn’t use anti-magic…?” Davidra asked abruptly.

“…You’re a kid, yet you possess such an abnormal amount of magic power, it should’ve been easy for you to block that attack with something like anti-magic.” (Davidra)

“I understand your hatred. The flames of it probably burn you all far worse than your little embers just now could burn me.” (Anos)

I slowly brought my hand in front of my eyes, and clenched it tightly.
