And what’s more, Hela was one of Azrael’s closest friends. In fact it's not just Hela most of the death gods in every pantheon have a close connection with each other. In a pantheon, death gods are rarely on good terms with others.

In fact, even Hela who is now very cheerful had a time when she wanted nothing but to destroy everything. The prophecy of Ragnarok made them have a very dark childhood. It was after what Azrael did Hela came out of her shell.

Odin’s fears weren't unfounded, If Azrael really wanted she would really burn his beard to make her point. She has done it in the past and she could do it in the future.
