The Third-Gen Chaebol Becomes a Genius Actor

Chapter 15.1

While Yoo Yeon Seo was busy with action school, Lim Seung Hyun briefly visited the Jusung Group headquarters.

He came to find the records of the predecessor who handled the expenses and process the hiring paperwork for Lee Tae Gyeom.

‘I also need to learn more details about the young master's likes and dislikes. ‘

It was important to get a better understanding of Yeon Seo whilst working for him.

As he opened the door of the Strategic Planning Department, he noticed many empty desks in the office. Everyone was out in the field supporting the Yoo family like Lim Seung Hyun.

"Hello."

"Oh, Seung Hyun. Are you here to work?"

"Yes."

The employee who greeted him watched his back with a curious expression. It had been a little over a month since Lim Seung Hyun took charge of Yoo Yeon Seo, but there had been no word from the young master's side yet.

Besides, Lim Seung Hyun seemed to be in a better mood than when he was sitting in the office.

Lim Seung Hyun quickly wrote up the expense report. A middle-aged man approached him and patted his shoulder.

"Seung Hyun, it's been a while."

"Director."

"Don't get up. You seem busy."

"No, I'm done now."

Lim Seung Hyun double-checked that his email had been sent before getting up.

The head of the Strategic Planning Department was an old executive of the company responsible for Chairman Yoo Chang Ho and Vice Chairman Yoo Gun Min.

"What brings you here? Aren't you busy these days?"

"I stopped by to find Yoo Yeon Seo's manager. I was going to take care of some business and leave right away."

"I see. How's the manager?"

Lim Seung Hyun hesitated for a moment. ‘Come to think of it, why did the department head come here?'

He counted the days that the executive in charge of the chairman and vice chairman had been in the office. But he coincidentally came when Lim Seung Hyun briefly visited the office?

‘It seems that the Chairman is curious, not the department head.' Lim Seung Hyun rolled his eyes. He received instructions to report everything that targeted Yoo Yeon Seo.

However, it was true that he was uneasy about it, even though he did it for Yoo Yeo Seo.

Having something to report behind his back felt like being a spy. ‘Well, I guess I can say this much.'

Lim Seung Hyun opened his mouth after a brief thought. "Other than being prickly, the manager seems fine. His past is clean too. Personally, he seemed to get along with the young master like a friend, so he looked good to me."

"I see."

In an attempt to change the subject, Lim Seung Hyun looked around.

The people in the office were strangely quiet. "I don't see a few people. Have they moved to another department?"

"Yes, they have."

"I see." He didn't think it was a big deal. He actually disliked those who speculated on the future of people who failed or made mistakes.

He still couldn't forget the day when he was appointed to manage Yoo Yeon Seo and even a farewell party was held.

"You must know that the employees under the young master don't stay long… Is everything okay?"

"Yes, it's fine. I heard that they went to work for someone else."

The department head scrutinized Lim Seung Hyun's expression. He did seem fine.

"I'll go see the young master now. Director."

"Do you not need to report to the managing director?"

"I work under the young master, not the managing director."

"I see. Let's have a meal together next time."

‘Dinner with the department head… I feel like I'm going to be nauseous.' Lim Seung Hyun hid his thoughts as he smiled and left the office.

[TN: nauseous in terms of anxiety-inducing]

"It seems like he'll last for a while…" The department head who remained in the office smiled warmly. Now there would be no more interviews for new employees.

He received a phone call just in time. "Yes, Chairman. You don't have to worry."

*    *   *    *    *

Yoo Yeon Seo in consideration for the lead role in the movie "Baekho-ham" [Official]

[TN: Baeko-ham: Apparently baekho refers to ‘White Tiger', one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations.]

One Seven's Lee Han Gyeol, Yoo Yeon Seo, and Park Min Woo are under consideration for "Baekho-ham".

-What do you think about "Baekho-ham"?

└ No way.

└ It's going to fail.

└ How do you even know? You never know because it's Yoo Yeon Seo's pick.

└ I'm kind of excited because Yoo Yeon Seo's taste is similar to mine

-Ugh… My idol Yoo Yeon Seo is in this movie. I hate it.

└ 2222 [TN: they agree]

└└ Why of all things ㅠㅠ

└ My idol tooㅎㅎ…

    └└ Ah… Let's stay strong

-Isn't this Yoo Yeon Seo's first action movie?

└ It's going to fail

└ I thought that action roles would never be his thing, but he's doing it now

└ Isn't action better? Just use a stunt double

-Reverse casting: the successful group and the little chick meet ㅋㅋㅋ

What does Yoo Yeon Seo think about seeing One Seven doing well?

└ Is it something to think about?

└ He probably won't think anything of itㅋ

└ The chaebol has nothing to regret ㅋㅋ Besides, even if the little chick does it, he'll still meet with his buddies behind the scenes. Only the fans will be frustrated.

"Hyung, are you really going to do that movie?"

One Seven's member Lee Han Gyeol raised his head at the words of, Park Joo Won, who was a year younger than him. In Han Gyeol's hand was the script for ‘Baekho-ham'.

"I have to. It's a good opportunity. Although there are quite a lot of action scenes, the script is not bad either."

"I'm not saying that to hear that kind of talk. Can you trust that guy?"

"Then what?"

Han Gyeol closed the script and stared at Park Joo Won. Seeing the calm expression and gaze of Han Gyeol, Park Ju-won avoided eye contact.

"Joo Won, the time for us to care about him has passed."

"I don't want to be associated with him anymore. I don't like seeing him with hyung and other members." Park Joo Won muttered quietly.

Han Gyeol sighed. "…I'm not unaware of how you feel."

Yoo Yeon Seo didn't have such a bad image from the beginning.

On the contrary, there was a lot of attention on the news that the son of Lee Hee Seo, who was only known from rumours as the third generation of a conglomerate, had debuted as an idol. His visuals were unquestionably good and his skills were quite good, so he had a lot of initial recognition and fans.
