The Villains I Taught Became Heroes

Chapter 91

When I returned after catching the Chimera, the battle had already concluded.

Arisha, who was tying up the unconscious Angela, waved at me with a big smile.

“Are you hurt anywhere?”

“Nope! Thanks to you, I could win!”

Looks like she made good use of the bracelet I gave her. After petting Arisha’s head, I checked on Sowol and Lena, who came over, and they seemed unharmed too.

“I didn’t expect the Magic Empire army to move like this. Instructor, this is a big problem.”

Ludwig spoke with a serious expression. It was the first time they had moved in units instead of just causing terror with a small number of forces, as he said.

This meant that the descendants of the Magic Empire would start to move in earnest now.

“I think it would be better to return to the Academy for now.”

“Wh-what should we do about this woman?”

“What do you mean ‘what should we do’? We take her with us.”

The students began to chatter about interrogating Angela to find out where the top brass of the Magic Empire were and what their plans were.

That was when I noticed the dust cloud.

“You’re here early. Is the Deorent Kingdom army always this late?”

“Kugh. I have nothing to say.”

At Ludwig’s sneering comment, Lumina let out a short groan. She watched resentfully as the kingdom’s knight dismounted his horse, and explained the situation.

“Are you hurt anywhere? Seriously?!”

“We’re fine. We do have injuries, but nothing serious. More importantly, we need you to take care of these people.”

We couldn’t take the special forces of the Magic Empire back to the Academy. Lumina handed them over to the kingdom’s soldiers, and Angela, who had awakened in the meantime, glared at us as if she wanted to kill us.

But what was she gonna do? The game was already over.

“Alright, all injured students, come over here.”

By the time I healed all the injured students, the kingdom soldiers had also wrapped things up.

The awkward knight approached and bowed his head in front of me.

“I’m sorry. It was our mistake.”

“Haha. It happens. Is everything alright in the capital?”

“Yes. Thankfully…”

“Good. I’ll leave their disposal to you, so do as you please; roast or boil them.”

“Understood. Then…”

The kingdom soldiers took their leave after saying goodbye to everyone. As I watched them go, I turned to the revived Angela and punched her in the stomach.

“Kuagh!!”

With a rough groan, I picked her up, announcing to everyone, “We’re heading back to the Academy.”

.

.

.

When we got back to the Academy, chaos erupted.

And rightly so. It had been revealed that Angela, who was nice to everyone, was actually part of the Magic Empire army.

Even the instructors who had been friendly with her started investigations, which messed up the class schedule pretty badly.

“I’m just enjoying this even more!”

Arisha, who got to take core classes instead of general studies, flashed a happy smile while helping me carry the materials for class.

Ah, as long as you’re happy, that’s what matters.

“By the way, Teacher, I’ll repay you since we were able to defeat Angela thanks to you.”

“Forget about repaying me. Just study harder; your grades in Magic Defense are a mess!”

“Ah?! You caught me!”

“All the scores from the kids come to me, you know.”

“Hehehe~. Can’t you give me some special consideration?”

“Learn from Lena. She knows better than I do.”

“I want to learn from you! Hmm~. If you teach me, I’ll repay you!”

“What kind of repayment?”

“Hehe. A kiss?”

“You do that all the time anyway…”

Arisha’s affection was getting stronger by the day. Hugs were just basic, and rubbing her ample chest against me had become a daily occurrence, not to mention she now even kissed my cheeks at random.

“Hehehehe~. That just means I like you that much!”

“I’ve said it before, but could you keep that feeling to yourself?”

“Nooooo~.”

I really couldn’t hit her. Her smiling face was so cute that I couldn’t even get mad. After giving her head a light pat, I opened the door.

I expected the kids to be chatting as always, but they were all focused on something, even ignoring my entrance.

“What are you doing?!”

“Ah! Instructor! You’re here?”

Finally noticing me, the students returned to their seats, and Sowol spoke up.

“Master, could you take a look at this?”

What Sowol presented was a quest request. A request from the church, indicating traces of the Asura sect had been found in the Deorent Kingdom and several other nations.

It was a single request available once at the transition from Chapter 2 to Chapter 3: the start of the Religious War Event.

“Everyone is worried. It’s a request from the church, but we’re debating whether to take it or not…”

“This is a request where we have to go outside for a long time, far from the Academy. It will take a lot of time.”

“And that means we won’t be able to attend classes.”

The Religious War Event is conducted with the selected few, including the protagonist. Meanwhile, the rest of the characters will have to progress through Chapter 3.

Because of this, in Ragnarok, we had to train all characters evenly.

I looked around at the students.

With these kids, there shouldn’t be any major problems.

“We can’t ignore a request from the church. I’ll take about three of you with me.”

“Are you saying you’re not going to refuse the quest?”

“It looks a bit serious, you see. While I’m gone, Arisha will lead you all.”

“I want to go too!”

“Sowol…”

“I’ll also go.”

“Lena would like to…”

“I, I also want to go with you, Master…”

“…Ludwig will lead you all. If there’s anything needed for training, I’ll let Instructor Royce know so don’t worry too much.”

“Alright! I’ll lead you all!”

As Ludwig, the head of the beautification department, boasted confidently, the students jeered at him.

Not bothered by that, Ludwig let out a snort and approached me.

“It truly is a perfect choice, Instructor. With my charisma, leading these kids will be a piece of cake.”

“Yeah. I trust you.”

Based on the students I’ve trained so far, even without Arisha, Sowol, and Lena, they shouldn’t have any trouble dealing with Chapter 3.

I looked around at Ludwig and the other students.

They sent me reassuring glances, and I smiled back, nodding.

“If you all do well while I’m gone, I’ll give you a present.”

“Whoa! What kind of present are you planning to give us?”

“Each of you will get an artifact, of course! Treasure vault big release!”

Not that I’d drown myself in boiling soup or anything, but I figured I should share some gifts.

After finishing class, I took the quest request and headed for the church.

When I arrived at the church in the Academy, Serin was waiting.

“I knew you’d come.”

“If traces of the Asura sect have been found, I naturally have to take action. Where to?”

“First, we need to check out the Deorent Kingdom. A temple of the Asura sect has been discovered there.”

“A temple of the Asura sect… Looks like they’re starting to move in full swing.”

“Yeah. The church is also in motion. We might even find the main base of the Asura sect this time.”

“What about the movements of the other heretics?”

“Well, thanks to the church and the magic tower actively exterminating the heretics, there doesn’t seem to be any special movements.”

That’s good news.

Originally, we had to defeat some major heretics before discovering the Asura sect, but thanks to the continuous eradication of the heretics, it seems we can confront the Asura sect right away.

“So, are you going to move alone again this time?”

“No. With my kids.”

“All of Class A?”

“I’m just taking Arisha, Sowol, and Lena with me.”

“Is that alright? Do you want me to send the church’s paladins with you?”

“If too many people move, we might just get discovered by them.”

“Right. The Saintess and the Archbishop should be fine. But what about Arisha? Is her skill alright? Will she manage?”

“She’ll be fine.”

I nodded with a smile at Serin.

“After all, she’s my student.”

The day finally arrived for us to leave the Academy.

I packed my things and arrived at the Dimension Magic Circle, but none of them were there.

“Master!”

Sowol arrived first.

Why are they arriving separately when they all live in the same room?

“Hehehe~. How do I look today?”

“You look pretty.”

“Pretty enough to make someone fall in love?”

“Not quite that much.”

“Tch.”

Sowol, all dressed up, stood next to me. I asked where the others were, but there was no answer.

“Here they come.”

Next to arrive was Lena. Always wrapped in her shadow robe, as soon as she caught sight of me, she rushed over with a bright smile.

“Huff, huff. D-did you wait long?”

“Nah, not too long.”

“Thank goodness… By the way, Master…”

“Yeah?”

“…how do I look?”

Blushing awkwardly, Lena took off her shadow robe.

She wore tight pants that clung to her toned legs and a fitted shirt.

Although simple, it suited her well.

“You look pretty.”

“Hehe, I bought this outfit recently. Silphid helped me pick it out.”

“Can spirits do that?!”

That’s impressive. Spirits.

“Teacher~~!!”

Arisha quickly dashed over and leaped into my arms.

Burying her pretty face into my chest, after a moment, she pulled back slightly, turning her body.

In hot pants and a cropped top, her long hair cascading down to her waist was elegantly braided.

She truly embodied the appearance of a healthy beauty, forming a peace sign with her fingers.

“How do I look today!?”

“Awesome.”

“I did it~!”

All three of them looked beautifully dressed.

“…But girls, we’re heading out to work, okay?”

It’s not a date.

Yet they didn’t seem to care about my words at all.

For some reason, their eyes looked a bit dangerous… or maybe that was just my imagination?
