The Witch’s Convent

In terms of strength, apart from Destiny Witch Selene firmly holding the top position in the convent, the rankings of Yuta in second and Heidi in third aren't particularly secure.

The reason for this uncertainty is the Memory Witch, Die.

This witch is even shorter than Heidi, with long, straight black hair hidden under her Nun Hat, with only a few strands visible. Her slender eyebrows resemble willow leaves, and beneath her long eyelashes are eyes as beautiful as black pearls.

Compared to Heidi, her face appears more youthful, with a slight curve at her chest, resembling the unripe fruit of a sixteen- or seventeen-year-old girl—clearly developing but not yet fully mature in appearance and allure.

In reality, though, her true age surpasses two thousand years, making her the oldest, most experienced, and most knowledgeable witch in the convent.

As a witch, she also feeds on human souls. During the draining process, she likes to take her victim's memories, enjoying them in detail like watching a movie, savoring their past while feeling satisfied.

This gives her an extremely broad knowledge base, a deep understanding of various occupational tactics and vulnerabilities, and an effortless command of numerous spells. There's no magic she cannot cast, only spells she cannot find the power to execute.

The sole drawback is that during each Witch's Night, while she loses control, she also loses some memories. This makes her power fluctuate year by year, sometimes rivaling Selene in strength, yet at other times, potentially far weaker than even Heidi...

Conflicts among the witches are rare, and duels are even less common, so no one knows exactly how strong Die is at present.

Heidi felt somewhat tense because Die seemed to have noticed something amiss: "It seems you haven't been out hunting recently. Have you encountered any trouble?"

"If there is trouble, feel free to tell me. Perhaps my experience can help you solve some issues."

Heidi's heart was in her throat. Since being purified by Hawthorne, her deep interactions with him every day have been enough to meet her needs.

So for the past several days, she had no intention of capturing outsiders or draining souls.

She thought the other witches would be busy with their own affairs and wouldn't notice this for a while, but unexpectedly, Die seemed to have already detected it!

Die's smile faded as she walked alongside her, looking somewhat puzzled. "What do you need money for?"

"It's a little problem, and if I have enough money, it will be very easy to resolve." Heidi straightened her back, looking ahead with confidence, maintaining her momentum and continuing to lead the conversation, "So, Die, can you help me?"

Die slightly opened her mouth but ultimately decided not to press further. Her long-lived experience had taught her not to pry into others' secrets and to maintain good relationships with every witch.

After thinking for a moment, she said, "The quickest way to get money is undoubtedly through robbery. While our South Harbor District isn't wealthy, and even the Gold Dragon Bank doesn't have a branch here, it doesn't mean there aren't wealthy residents in our area..."

Saying this, her eyes suddenly lit up, and she swallowed slightly. "The simplest would be to rob the Amazon Fisheries Company. Along the way, we could capture a few Female Warriors..."

She was tempted because the convent's overall "low-key" strategy had kept her from tasting the wild and resilient souls of Amazon Female Warriors for a very long time.

At this moment, her craving was evident as her Nun Garb seemed to writhe, as if her legs were trembling.

But Heidi knew those weren't legs but tentacles emerging uncontrollably from Die's body due to her desires.

The Amazon Fisheries Company is a large enterprise ostensibly focused on fishing, established by Amazon Female Warriors.

Around fifty years ago, the colonizing forces of the Sain Empire arrived here, using the port of the South Harbor District as a naval base, and launched a brutal colonial war against the indigenous peoples of the southern Amazon archipelago.

These Female Warriors, who maintained a primitive matriarchal tribal structure and traditionally sailed their simple wooden boats to plunder wealth, provisions, and men, united like never before to wage a heroic and moving war of resistance.

The war lasted several years. Ultimately, due to the Sain Empire's internal political issues, the war concluded with the Female Warriors suffering heavy losses but the empire returning all the islands they had occupied, and both parties signing a peace treaty.

This war cost the Sain Empire countless human, material, and financial resources, but it only resulted in unifying the once fragmented tribes of the Amazon archipelago, achieving nothing else.

Moreover, since then, these Female Warriors began to broaden their horizons, adopting the organizational structures of the empire. They formed a new nation, the "Amazon Kingdom," electing their war hero as queen, and actively participated in broader international cooperation.

The Amazon Fisheries Company emerged from this process. The Amazon queen realized that the old ways of living by plunder were unsustainable in a new era, so she mobilized national resources to establish this comprehensive company officially focused on fishing but engaged in activities like robbery, fishing, salvaging, escorting, and transporting.

Currently, they actively trade with various places through Liberl Port. While they can't be compared to giant conglomerates like the Gold Dragon Bank, which can influence the entire world, they are undeniably a dominant force in the South Harbor District.

Heidi is a witch from the deep sea, and in her early years, she often engaged in intimate and friendly physical or magical exchanges with these pirates in her true form, which bristled with tentacles and curved fangs.

Decades ago, when the Amazons were still small, scattered matriarchal tribes, she could bully them with her personal strength, but now that they've united into a large kingdom...

Provoking the largest enterprise of such a well-organized people would be suicidal.

Therefore, Heidi thoroughly rejected the suggestion: "No, attacking the Amazons would not only endanger you and me but could bring the entire convent to ruin."
