There’s Absolutely No Problem With The Magic Cards I Made!

Chapter 161: Dekan Hearing The Marquess's Wail

"Oh, you finally decided to speak! I thought your vocal cords were left outside the coffin," Dekan's airy voice carried a mocking tone.

"Enjoy your moment of triumph now!! I will make you regret ever being born into this world!" Marquess Roderick's voice still thundered with fury.

"I remember many creatures saying similar things to me before. Care to guess what happened to them in the end?" Dekan simply asked, his words devoid of any threats or boasting.

"..."

Marquess Roderick fell slightly silent. He was certain that this priest was not quite right.

Firstly, the behavior of this priest was eerie, as if he mysteriously found the sealed marquess. After finding the vampire marquess, his first reaction was not to seek support from the church but to begin torturing the vampire recklessly.

This relaxed and casual attitude didn't seem like an act; it seemed like he genuinely didn't take the vampire marquess seriously.

"Marquess, say something," Dekan prompted.

In reality, Dekan's thoughts were quite straightforward. He saw that the name of this Shadow World was "Secrets of the Declined Sacred Ritual."

In theory, the most likely possibilities were twofold:

Either it referred to this Holy Ritual Church not being able to handle it, meaning even if they reinforced the marquess's seal, it might still be broken.

Alternatively, it indicated that this church might already be starting to decay and fall apart.

Dekan wasn't sure if there might be any traitors within this church.

So, instead of relying on the Holy Ritual Church, he decided it was better for him to personally deal with this vampire marquess.

"Well then, Marquess Roderick, congratulations on passing the first stage of training. Next, you will enter the second stage," Dekan said with an almost imperceptible smirk.

"..."

Marquess Roderick remained silent. He wasn't afraid of Dekan's torture.

The previous spinning had indeed made him uncomfortable, but this level of torment was bearable. It was more about the insult.

He was sure that the methods Dekan used to torture him through the seal were probably all that he had.

Dekan looked at Mauleon. Mauleon nodded. Then, they each took out [Rampant Desires] (inducing and amplifying desires) and [Friendship Halo] (mitigating mental magical influences).

Then they began to release them continuously.

Most cards required targets, but [Rampant Desires] was an AOE targetless magic. Even without selecting the sealed Marquess Roderick, who was in an "unselectable state," it could still affect him.

So the result was that Marquess Roderick's killing intent and the hunger that had been sealed for a hundred years erupted limitlessly.

Normally, Dekan wouldn't dare to release [Rampant Desires] at such high intensity because he would also affect himself. However, with Mauleon helping to offset the effects, he could use it without restraint.

The only cost was mana and waiting for the cooldown.

"Ah!! What have you done?! I'll kill you!!" In his rage, Marquess Roderick also felt his insatiable hunger, so intense that his internal organs twisted and tangled, sour and unquenchable, growing uncontrollably.

The torment brought upon him by the eruption of hunger, sealed for a hundred years without feeding on blood, far exceeded the pain of having his flesh cut or his bone snapped.

"Are you hungry, Roderick? Do you want a taste of fresh blood?" Dekan said, sipping his grape juice.

"Mmm~ Delicious!"

"Ah!!"

"Oh dear~ We're right here with delicious and fresh blood. But there's a poor unfortunate soul who can't have any. Can you guess who that is?"

"Ah!!!"

Marquess Roderick's roars were reduced to instinctive howls consumed by fury.

This cycle of stimulating Marquess Roderick's desire for blood continued for half an hour until the marquess's voice grew weaker, as if he had no strength left to shout.

Finally, Dekan stopped.

Marquess Roderick's last roars even began to blend with a hint of wailing.

He was truly terrified of this beastly priest's methods. He couldn't imagine what other devilish contraptions this priest could come up with.

"Alright, congratulations, you've entered the final stage."

"No!!!!" As the marquess expected, Dekan's playful voice hinted that the marquess's punishment was far from over.

So, amidst the marquess's wails, Cornelia quickly revealed the answer for him. She dragged in a grill from outside and placed the coffin on the fire.

Although the coffin sealing the marquess could withstand even tier 8 physical and magical attacks, and was even waterproof and airtight, Dekan figured it probably did not have temperature insulation.

As time passed second by second, the coffin gradually took on a charred black color. But, there was no sign of it breaking.

Marquess Roderick surprisingly quieted down.

He enjoyed a rare moment of tranquility.

He didn't even scream anymore. He seemed to think, is that all?

After all, he was Marquess Roderick, and temperatures of several hundred or even a thousand degrees, while torture for him, were nowhere near as deadly as the hunger torture.

However, Dekan just smiled. This marquess was still too naive.

Confirming the temperature had risen to its limit, Dekan smiled and summoned his trump card, [Ruined Poet,] amplifying Marquess Roderick's pain tenfold.

Instantly, Marquess Roderick's pitiful roars echoed through the entire church once again...

"Let's just continue torturing him in turns," Cornelia rotated the marquess , Dekan and Mauleon induced his appetite, and when all three rested, they roasted him.

This continued in sets of three, rotating in cycles, preventing the marquess from developing tolerance to any particular torture.

After two rounds, Marquess Roderick seemed to have no strength left to make any sound.

"You three... forget it meow, the school's reputation is probably beyond saving meow..." Teacher Cat felt tired.

These three reapers were doing such things, yet they could still happily play poker with the cards that Dekan had made in the church.

They truly had no guilt and w not afraid of being watched by the gods.

If Teacher Cat hadn't been sure that this wouldn't kill a vampire, he would have suspected that Marquess Roderick in the coffin had already kicked the bucket.

Even if the marquess could break the seal and escape now, he would probably be delirious, basically gone mad.

"Meow meow meow, Dekan, why are you torturing it like this?" Teacher Cat asked, puzzled.

Even according to Dekan's usual tactics of wanting to maximize the enemy's hatred towards him, to achieve the endless control of "Captain Deerkhan," one round of torture would have been enough.

However, Dekan's current intention seemed to be to torture the marquess until he completely collapsed.

"Of course, I have a plan. I'm not the kind of guy who enjoys torturing others for fun," Dekan replied.

"Are you sure, meow...?" Teacher Cat asked.
