Tokyo Ghoul: Fanfiction

I entered the house and found the ghoul, Nanami asleep, well at least she’s obedient, I said to myself. I placed the clothes bag beside her and then went towards my cupboard to put my new mask in while taking out the old mask, I glanced at it for a few seconds and sighed…

Since I had nothing to do right now, I decided to go exercise again, the one thing I like about this ghoul body is that the recovery of the body muscles after intense physical exercise is very quick. Exercising feels kind of addicting to me now as a result of these noticeable changes.

I felt that I won’t be able to buff up even though I exercise a lot but that doesn’t mean that I won’t be able to make that fat present in my body transform it into well-defined muscles, It would help me in taking the hits from stronger ghouls and ghoul investigators in future I suppose.

With all these things on my mind, I went out for jogging and stretching. Not forgetting to take my old mask with me. Well, since I’m a ghoul now, bodyweight exercises are something I can do easily, It’s the same with normal human weights. I’ll have to depend on jogging and stretching till I’ll be able to find appropriate weights or a secluded place to lift heavy stones or maybe cars.

Before starting my workout, I threw the torn pieces of my masks in a garbage can and then started my workout session. I returned home and saw Nanami sitting on the dining table while drinking a glass of water. 

“Want some coffee?”, I asked.

Nanami hesitated for a while before nodding her head slowly.

I quickly freshened myself up like usual and prepared two cups of coffee, placed one of them in front of her while I took my cup and took a seat on the chair in front of her.

After a few seconds of silently sipping our coffees, I asked her.

“Nanami, did your parents or your uncle ever mentioned anything different about you.”

Nanami felt a little flustered by this question and after a while said.

“They said that I was different than a normal ghoul and didn’t let me fight other ghouls or help them in procuring food. Well, I don’t blame them cause as you can see I’m very weak, yesterday was my first time hunting a human and I was almost killed by yo-...” Nanami raised her head to look at me while speaking and suddenly stopped her monologue in nervousness when she realised she was about to speak about him.

“I see, so your parents said you’re different. Indeed.” I said while nodding to myself while smelling her scent, Her scent was the same as mine, quite different from what I smelt the last night. She may be some sort of a mutant, able to mask her scent to the people near her, for now, I’m guessing she needs to touch the person or be near them for some time to be able to smell like them.

This is an interesting ability and would help her quite a lot in keeping her cover. Now her scent was similar to mine and yesterday I wasn’t able to smell her from far cause her scent was similar to the dead human she was devouring. Hence she was able to mask her presence from me. Truly an interesting ability.

I ended my contemplation and then said,

“Alright Nanami, I’ve bought you your clothes, I believe you’ve already seen them.”

“Y-yes”

“Well, you’ll have to do with those clothes for now, tomorrow you can head out with me and buy some other necessities you’ll be needing..Alright then, I have some business to take care of so I’ll be returning after midnight, watch tv or use my pc if you get bored.” I said.

It was around 8 pm now, so I wore my black outfit, put on my new mask and went outside to my marked regions to kill some ghouls to gain some fighting skills and also cannibalize them.

While moving through the empty streets, I heard a painful screaming voice and discreetly moved towards it. I was right in time to witness Nishiki getting his ass handed in by Touka chan. She looks cute even with that angry face, the match ended with Nishiki almost at the brink of dying and Touka leaving him to rot on the street. 

Interesting, I mused to myself cause earlier Nishiki got his ass handed in by Kaneki when he tried to eat Hide, No clue what he did this time to piss Touka so much. Well as expected, my doing things differently has led to Nishinki being beaten to death earlier than he was supposed to. Soon, I saw Nishiki standing up while coughing and moving towards his home, I was curious about something so I decided to follow him.

After Nishiki reached his apartment, I hid close to it and observed him. I could hear him throwing abuses at Touka and at the same time saying ‘meat’ again and again. Soon enough just like how I’ve guessed, I heard light footsteps of a person moving towards Nishiki’s apartment in a frenzy. It was his girlfriend, Kimi Nishino. She rang the bell and knocked on the door several times and when she didn’t get any response she took out the key from her purse and opened the door.

Since I knew what was gonna happen next, I went to find other ghouls to fight while Kimi was receiving her first authentic love bite by Nishiki.
