Trapped in Paradise

Chapter 90

Chapter 90: 089… Are you feeling jealous?

After living together for a month and a half, Wen Yang had roughly figured out Ning Chu’s preferences.

During this time, Ning Chu never touched the dormitory kettle, only drinking ice-cold mineral water, and he only drank iced drinks like milk tea. He usually washed and showered in cold water too.

But now, he was rarely drinking hot water, and he specifically filled a basin with warm water for washing up in the evening, even using warm water for laundry.

It was already the second day, and he still looked pale and sickly, occasionally clutching his lower abdomen and groaning. He preferred to lie down rather than sit, and to sit rather than stand.

Clearly, he was still experiencing stomach pain today.

Although Wen Yang still hadn’t found any concrete evidence, taking into account Ning Chu’s feminine appearance, the significant development of her figure from nothing to now, along with the suspected period pains over the past two days, he could basically conclude that…

Ning Chu was a girl!

This significantly alleviated Wen Yang’s guilt; harboring X fantasies about a beautiful female roommate was evidently less perverted than having fantasies about a male roommate.

At least his sexual orientation was normal now.

God knows why he kept dreaming about Ning Chu every few days.

He just couldn’t figure out how she changed her sanitary napkin. Was she using pads?

Worriedly washing his underwear on the balcony, Wen Yang thought it was high time he got his act together; holding it in wasn’t the way to go. They say holding it in for too long can lead to health issues.

But Ning Chu always stuck to him, leaving him with no personal space to practice his craft.

“Morning underwear wash?” Zhang Shaoqing came out of the bathroom with a smirk, looking all cheeky and pervy. “How about today I take you to see the world? Let’s get a half-set massage?”

“Half-set?”

“You don’t get it, do you?” He draped an arm over Wen Yang’s shoulder proudly. “You’ll know when you go! I have a friend who goes there all the time!”

“How about in the afternoon? You can coax Ning Chu to take a nap, and the three of us can go get a massage!”

That didn’t sound like a legitimate massage.

Yet, Wen Yang felt a bit tempted.

“Zhang Shaoqing!”

However, Ning Chu’s furious shout completely doused whatever excitement he had.

He turned to see Ning Chu with her arms crossed over her abdomen, glaring from the door frame, clearly unsatisfied. “Why do you have to drag Wen Yang into this? Are you trying to lead all your roommates astray for your own amusement?”

Zhang Shaoqing instinctively shrank back. “I’m just being cautious…”

“Turns out you’ve never been there either!” Ning Chu scoffed. “If you’re scared, then just don’t go! I haven’t even mentioned the time you took Wang Jie to that bar to see naughty stuff—I wasn’t going to let you off so easy!”

“…”

Watching Ning Chu storm back into the bathroom, Zhang Shaoqing muttered, “What’s with her? Is she on some sort of warpath?”

“Aren’t you going to defend yourself?” Wen Yang chimed in, fanning the flames. “This isn’t like you—acting all meek after being scolded.”

“Pfft! I’m not going to stoop to the level of a drag queen!”

“Who are you calling a drag queen?!”

“Me! I’m the drag queen!”

Zhang Shaoqing awkwardly retreated into the dorm, leaving Wen Yang shaking his head helplessly.

They said girls really had a short fuse when Aunt Flow showed up, and the way Ning Chu looked when she was angry—she was like a mother tiger!

No matter how furious she had been before, she always had that pitiful expression that made her seem like an easy target.

“That’s terrifying.”

He grumbled as he hung his freshly washed underwear on the drying rack, but his gaze drifted to the corner where Ning Chu’s underwear was.

Is it really okay for girls to wear boxers?

Thinking back to the sight of Ning Chu with bare legs after a shower, Wen Yang felt it looked less like she was wearing underwear and more like she was sporting super short hot pants.

He hadn’t thought much of it before, but now that he did, he felt odd about the idea of Ning Chu not wearing any real underwear.

“Wen Yang! Toilet paper!”

“Just a sec!”

Hearing her call from the bathroom, Wen Yang immediately shook off his distracting thoughts and hurried back inside.

He grabbed the roll of paper from the corner of the dorm and quickly returned to the balcony, standing at the bathroom door.

A moment later, the door opened just a crack, and a delicate, pale hand reached out, lightly grasping at the air.

From that gap, all he could see was that hand.

“Where’s the paper?”

He could hear the slight tension in Ning Chu’s voice as Wen Yang handed the roll over. “Here.”

Once she took the paper, that hand quickly retracted, and he immediately heard the sound of the door locking.

Look at her being all cautious~

Clearly, she was just a shy little girl!

Thinking back, Wen Yang realized he had never seen Ning Chu use a public toilet, which explained why she always rushed to the bathroom first whenever class ended.

“What are you doing standing by the door?”

Ning Chu opened the door, only to find Wen Yang’s tall frame blocking her way.

Her cheeks had a hint of pink, her eyes filled with wariness and anxiety.

If Wen Yang had wanted to, he could’ve barged in with a mere push!

He can’t make rookie mistakes like this again! He needs to properly check for toilet paper before going to the bathroom… Ever since he became a little bean, he could only squat, and if he’s not careful, he’ll end up with paper on his behind. He had to wipe every time with tissues.

Though still a guy, his bathroom habits had been forced to adapt to a girl’s style.

Seeing Wen Yang step aside, Ning Chu shook her head lightly, sighed, and went back to the dorm.

From Wen Yang’s reaction, it seemed she had already self-defined her gender as female.

He sat back down in front of the computer, propping his chin up with one hand, and the continuous pain in his abdomen left him too distracted to game, so he tiredly clicked around on the web.

But suddenly, a little penguin icon in the bottom right corner started flashing.

Moving the mouse, he saw it was a message from Han Jingye.

“Are you interested in the Top Ten Singer competition?”

“No.”

“I heard your vocal skills are pretty good…”

As the conversation shifted from the competition to more casual topics, Ning Chu, with nothing to do, casually responded to Han Jingye’s messages.

She had never seen such an idle counselor.

Suddenly, Ning Chu felt her right eyelid twitch, and it hit her.

Wait! Could this counselor have a crush on me?

Then she couldn’t help but chuckle at her own thoughts. She had overreacted; it was proven time and again that she simply overthought things.

After so many disruptions to the plot, Han Jingye’s storyline had long since been tossed about by metaphorical butterflies’ wings.

The current counselor didn’t seem like the creepy one from the story at all.

“What do you mean chatting with the counselor again?”

“Just bored,” Ning Chu replied, nonchalantly showing her chat window.

But Wen Yang frowned slightly, appearing a bit displeased. “What does a counselor have to talk about?”

“Maybe he cares about his students?”

“I’m the class monitor, and he doesn’t chat with me every day.”

Ning Chu turned to glance at him, a thoughtful look in her eyes.

This dude… could he really be feeling jealous?!
