Trapped in Paradise

Chapter 92

Chapter 92: 091. It’s Over!

“Ning Chu!”

“Here~”

Ning Chu rested her chin on one hand, yawning while raising her hand to respond.

It was already the third day, yet the stomach pain still hadn’t ended.

There was no room for luck; medically speaking, she was probably a full-on girl now.

He let out a sigh of despair, glancing down at the message notification on his phone—another one from Han Jingye.

“What in the world…”

Ning Chu frowned, ignoring the chat message and locking his phone instead, then sprawled wearily on the desk.

Having someone to chat with during boring times was nice, but now that Wen Yang had expressed his opinion, he could only choose to ignore it.

Don’t want Wen Yang to rebel against his control and directly run off to date.

Once again, the locked phone lit up.

“Is work time this boring…”

Ning Chu muttered softly, unable to help but start questioning the plot.

Could it be that Han Jingye really saw him as a target this time?

His previous overly sensitive alertness made him feel a bit guilty towards the committed counselor, but this time the counselor was being a little too enthusiastic.

He hadn’t thought much of it before, passing it off as normal concern for a student. But with Han Jingye continuously chatting with him for several days, it didn’t seem normal at all.

And it was work time in class now.

“He’s chatting with you again?” Wen Yang looked down and asked in a low voice.

“Yeah, I didn’t respond.”

He furrowed his brow slightly, having lost interest in the lesson. He joked, “Look at how you look right now; the counselor might just be a weirdo into fake girls, so be careful.”

Oh wow~ So you’ve learned all my tricks to sabotage your dates, huh?

Yesterday you were gossiping behind backs, today you’re scaring him into submission.

Ning Chu held back a laugh, but soon the smile faded.

He increasingly felt that Wen Yang was getting jealous.

Clearly, Wen Yang himself seemed more like a weirdo in his own words…

“Don’t worry, I won’t chat with the counselor anymore.” Ning Chu felt something was off too. “Didn’t you see I didn’t even respond to his messages?”

“That’s good. Otherwise, just delete… well, deleting the counselor would be a bit much.”

How did his identity suddenly flip?

He held a hot water bag against his stomach, eyes filled with confusion and bewilderment, utterly baffled.

If Ning Chu stopping Wen Yang from dating was out of concern for the plot leading to him turning into a girl, then why was Wen Yang stopping him from chatting with other guys?

Was he really worried that Han Jingye was a creep? No way, right?

If jealousy was the case, it meant Wen Yang had feelings for him beyond mere friendship…

Ning Chu felt a bit flustered, but overall he still kept it together. Even if medically he was a girl now, at least he still had a… you know!

Finally made it to the end of class, Ning Chu felt refreshingly clear-headed, taking a deep breath, grabbing his book, and preparing to follow Wen Yang to the next classroom.

Who knows why college classes aren’t held in fixed classrooms.

Trailing behind Wen Yang, he lowered his head and unlocked his phone to check the messages from Han Jingye.

“Are you in class? Make sure to pay attention.”

“There’s a sanitation inspection this afternoon, don’t forget to clean your dorm.”

“Come to my office after class.”

Ning Chu glanced over without responding, tugging at Wen Yang’s shirt.

“Wen Yang, there’s a hygiene inspection this afternoon.”

“Is that right? How come I didn’t know?”

“The counselor told me.”

Mentioning this counselor made Wen Yang’s head ache. He stopped in his tracks, about to speak when Zhang Shaoqing on the side started shouting.

“What the heck! Are you insane? Didn’t we just have a check for military training?!”

“That was over a month ago.” Wang Jie soothed, “It’s about time for dorm hygiene; we can tidy it up at noon.”

“Our dorm is so clean!”

Zhang Shaoqing was the one shouting the loudest, but when push came to shove, he was the one who backed down quickest.

Ning Chu had long figured out this guy’s bluster and shot him a glare before turning to Wen Yang: “The counselor wants me to see him.”

“What does he want with you?”

“Don’t know.”

“Should I go with you?”

Without hesitation, Ning Chu immediately shook his head: “I’m not going, I’ll pretend I didn’t hear.”

He realized Han Jingye’s enthusiasm toward him was a bit off, so he didn’t want to walk into a trap.

If Wen Yang triggered the plot, he could just harden his heart and push the trained virgin he’d been working with for a month out there to let the story unfold.

Wen Yang would probably be quite happy about it.

But if he was the one triggering the plot, whether it was conforming to the plot helplessly or disrupting it by turning into a girl, neither would be acceptable!

“Going to the bathroom.”

“Alright.”

The two took a turn towards the bathroom.

Ning Chu never handled matters outside; he stood idly in the hallway awaiting Wen Yang’s return.

A girl with her head lowered slowly came to the opposite side of the hallway.

Ning Chu’s attention shot over, brow furrowing as he glanced up and down the stranger.

It was the vice-class monitor, who had left a deep impression on him during the class committee elections—the wolf girl who could probably punch him to death… but back then she had so much energy, her tail like a helicopter wing; now, however, she seemed a bit wilted, her wolf tail clamped tightly, and her erect gray ears drooping without energy.

Though she was the vice-class monitor, and he had no recollection of her name since she played no part in the book’s plot, it didn’t mean he would let down his guard!

Such a pretty background character could be dangerous!

A few minutes later, Wen Yang came out swinging his freshly washed hands, and the moment the wolf girl spotted him, she quickly lifted her head and hurried towards him.

“Just as I thought!”

Ning Chu jolted, prepared and stepping forward to block the wolf girl’s path.

He had dealt with tons of girls trying to get contact info or outright confessing…

Without waiting for the wolf girl to speak, his hand shot back to grab Wen Yang’s wrist, dragging the confused Wen Yang along while explaining in the most dismissive way, “We have things to do~ excuse us~”

“Wen, Wen Yang… can you help me…”

The moment the wolf girl spoke, her noticeably tearful voice made Wen Yang stop in his tracks. Ning Chu put all his strength in, turning his head, pushing with both hands, and slipping on the tile floor, but no matter how he pulled, he couldn’t budge him.

Well well! Looks like men really can’t resist a girl looking pitiful! So the true nature is showing, huh?

It’s not that he wasn’t cautious! It’s just that the enemy was too cunning!

Ning Chu had no choice but to scowl, reluctantly staying by Wen Yang’s side, eyes fixated on the wolf girl’s face.

It’s fine; she’s not a plot character.

“What’s wrong?” Wen Yang frowned, “Why are you crying?”

“I…”

The wolf girl timidly looked up at Ning Chu, clearly hoping he would leave.

But he refused to give her face, expressionless as he said, “If you’re going to say it, say it in front of both of us. Since you need help, a few extra hands can’t hurt.”

Seeing Wen Yang nod, the wolf girl hesitated, glancing around at her surroundings, seeing no other students, and finally lowered her head to mutter barely audibly.

“I… I was harassed by Counselor X.”

“!!”

Ning Chu and Wen Yang’s faces were both filled with shock.

What the heck! It’s over!
