Back to the present, I had gotten off the train and decided to take my time walking to the school because it was still early in the day. Also, the disruption on the train had already ruined my morning and I had wanted to take some time to calm myself.

I arrived at the front gate of the school 30 minutes later than what I would have done if I went straight there but I was not late whatsoever. I started walking through the front gate as I noticed some students calling out to people telling people good morning and checking on people’s appearances, but I just ignored them with my music still playing loudly in my ears. Whilst I was unaware of the few people there was who I had confronted earlier that morning. But their appearances had already been erased from my mind.

“Now. What class am I in?” I mumbled out loud to myself as I walked up to a massive board containing people’s names and classes.

Looking for my name from the bottom as I thought I would be lower, but I couldn’t find it before finally noticing my name close to the top showing I did well in the entrance exam, but I didn’t care because school is just a stopgap for me, and it was the law that I had to attend.

“Hmm? Class 1-A huh? Isn’t that the top class? This is going to be troublesome.” I started sighing to myself in resignation that I had been put in the top academic class in the year where most of the smart and popular students would be in.

“Well. If I attend school when needed and take the exams. I can squeak by.” I say to myself and was about to walk into the school building, but I was suddenly stopped by a voice and a hand tapping my shoulder.

“Hey! Did I hear that right? You’re already planning to skip school even though it’s your first day?!” I turned around seeing a short girl who reaches my chest at about 140cm, who also has another girl and a guy stood on either side of her wearing armbands saying disciplinary, like minions or guards. This causes me to groan inwardly again that I’ve run into another troublesome group.

I stared at the girl with the corner of my left eye whilst my face hidden by my hair and start walking off ignoring the shouts of the girl and her group.

“Hey! Get back here! I’m talking to you!” the small girl shouts after me who just ignores her.

“H-hey, Pres? He’s not worth it right now. It’s just the first day of school and you’ll find another chance to straighten him” The taller girl next to her calls out worryingly that she might anger me.

“She’s right President!” the guy on the other side speaks out agreeing with the girl.

“Seriously! I wish people would leave me alone!” I spit out these words as I leave.

I grinded my teeth in frustration as I entered the school building and walking down the many corridors, keeping my head slightly down so that the any different people don’t take too much notice of me. I kept following the signs until I finally found my classroom which shows the letters 1-A on the door.

“Here it is.” I mumbled quietly to myself before opening the front door of the classroom because classes in this school seems to have a front and back door, similar what you would see in classrooms in anime from Japan. I walk in to find people already making groups, people chatting to friends who seems to have known each other for years and some glancing my way before looking back to their conversations as I kept an aura of uninterest.

“Hmm?” I looked over at the whiteboard noticing everyone’s names showing where their seats are, and I find mine, which is in the perfect spot for me, who doesn’t want to be involved with anyone. At the back, by the window and it’s a place where I could glance out the window so I could keep an eye on the weather or to curb my boredom when class is too boring.

I walked down the corridor of desks which are surrounded by many students who also aren’t even in this class. After dodging and weaving my way around other people I arrived at my desk and sat down still wearing my black denim jacket over my white shirt and tie. I hung my bag on the side of my desk and turned up my music by placing my headphones back on drowning out the conversations in the classroom.
