Twin Soul

Chapter 6: (4/8)

Etgar and Harbek patiently waited for the Demigod to fly back above the ground. They both knew a God-tier warrior will not die easily after receiving just one [Sonic Boom]. Ten seconds later, the Demigod flew up, flexed her muscle, and said, "Little Wind Mage, you have done well. But now, let me show you my true power."

The Demigod activated [Awakened] technique. This technique is required before any God-tier warrior skills can be used. Then she activated [Mass Acceleration] skill to increase her speed to ten times faster. Not done yet, she activated [Living Bulwark] to improve her defense to ten times tougher. And finally, she activated [Aura of Cleansing] skill to actively remove all negative effects that could be caused by magic spells.

Held a deep breath, the Demigod initiated [Paragon of Purification] skill. This skill created a powerful explosion going to blast in a beam toward a direction. Similar but much stronger compared to [Sonic Boom] because it would erase not just a single target out of existence but all the targets in that direction by completely destroying the targets and not leaving any pieces of them left. Five seconds later, the Demigod finished initiating [Paragon of Purification] and a powerful explosion beam of flame blasted out from her Fiery Lance toward Etgar.

[Mass Acceleration], [Living Bulwark], and [Aura of Cleansing] are God-tier warrior’s techniques. [Paragon of Purification] is a God-tier warrior skill. Warrior’s technique will slowly drain the warrior’s stamina pool upon activation until it gets deactivated. Warrior’s skill will instantly cost the warrior a large amount of his/her stamina per usage. Saint-tier warriors could learn basic techniques to help them enhance their battle power but only God-tier warriors could create skills for themselves such as [Paragon of Purification].

Etgar smirked as he casted [Sanguine Tide] and then activated [Abyssal Flesh] to transform himself into a Flesh Monster. The [Sanguine Tide] managed to reduce ten percent power of the [Paragon of Purification] but was not strong enough to dispel it. However, that was good enough because [Paragon of Purification] could not wipe the Flesh Monster out completely as one of its fingers that wore the Blood Ring still remained. A second later, the Flesh Monster revived itself using the blood pool inside of its Blood Ring. The Monster deactivated [Abyssal Flesh] and transformed back into Etgar in his human form.

"Is that-"

Etgar could not finish the question because he saw the Demigod appeared in front of him and successfully penetrated his heart using her Fiery Lance. Laughed at himself for being too reckless, Etgar commanded the Wind Blades to attack the Demigod as he attempted to heal himself using [Life Drain]. Too bad, the Demigod didn't give a f**k about the five hundred and ten Wind Blades because it would take several days for those weak asses Wind Blades to injure her while she was having [Living Bulwark] activated.

Not giving Etgar a chance to heal his injury, the Demigod repeatedly strikes at him using her Lance. Five seconds later, more than fifty wound holes could be seen on Etgar's body. The Demigod finished with one last strike using her Fiery Lance to penetrate through Etgar's face deep into the back of his skull as it burned his head to ashes.

The Demigod predicted this would be the result of any human idiot that dared to fight with her. But then a voice from her back suddenly asked, "Is that all?"

Turned around, the Demigod saw another unharmed Etgar was smiling at her. She turned back and saw the headless Etgar was still falling onto the ground.

"Why are you acting so surprised?" Etgar asked the Demigod while he casted [Replica] four times to create four more clones of himself.

[Replica], level 35 Wind spell that will create an exact clone of the caster that can cast all of his/her spells. However, the clone will share the blood pool and mana pool of the original. If the clone gets injured, it would create injuries on the original as well. If the original was killed, all of the clones will be killed. Likewise, if the clone was killed, then the original and all other clones will be killed as well.

If Etgar was not a Blood Mage that could heal himself using [Life Drain] then he would have died when his clone died earlier.

Etgar casted [Wind Funnel], level 45 Wind spell to siphoned the Demigod toward his direction while seizing all of her movements and prohibiting her from being able to escape. Nonetheless, because her [Aura of Cleansing] technique was activated, the Demigod could easily break out of [Wind Funnel] and flew away. Before she could get out of his spell range, Etgar’s four clones casted [Sonic Boom] spells and blasted the Demigod deep down below the ground once again. But this time the Demigod was blasted to more than two thousand feet below the ground level. If Etgar was just an ordinary level 51 Saint-tier Wind Mage, then it would be impossible for him and his clones to cast that many Legend-tier spells at once due to not having sufficient mana to do it.

This time the Demigod did not fly back up. Either she died and was transported back to her realm or she was heavily injured and could no longer have any strength left to move. Either way, Etgar has won his battle against the Demigod.

Etgar turned toward Harbek and asked, "Anything else?"

"I'm glad to see you have defeated the God-tier warrior Demigod. Our playtime shall continue then."

While Etgar was busy fighting with the Demigod. Harbek has been chanting for a unique Saint-tier Earth spell that he has created. It has been too long since the last time Harbek had to casted it. He is very happy to be able to fight with a Blood Mage strong enough and worthy for him to use it again today.

Harbek casted [Earthen Dragon] and the ground started trembling. A few seconds later, rocks on the ground started forming into a giant dragon of over a hundred feet long. Not just a manifestation, but an actual dragon that lives and breaths like a real one.
