Undying Warlord

Chapter 740 Why Can't You Love Me?

Creating a True Divinity was a long process that was separated in various steps, and Dilan chose to create a True Divinity in one of the most difficult ways, without a sealed faux Divinity, or any external means of support.

He used the Essences that were extracted from his body to create the strongest True Divinity he could think of!

Fusing them while using an equal amount of the Essence would create the foundation of his True Divinity. However, that was also one of the hardest problems when creating a True Divinity with multiple core components.

The moment he was to fail fusing the essences in a perfect manner, he would have to tear apart the parts that had already been fused. This would cause unbearable pain and the likelihood of sustaining severe injuries that had a great chance of turning into permanent internal wounds.

That was also why most Gods would either create a simple True Divinity or take their time fusing the core components of their True Divinity. Some would spend several millennia doing what Dilan was trying to achieve in a bunch of years.

He was not afraid of pain, let alone permanent injuries. If something in his body were to go wrong, he would just tear this part of his body apart and let it heal properly. That way, he could save lots of time which he would require in the future to defeat the Veils and Veilures.

If the Veils and Veilures were not too troublesome, Dilan might as well end up spending some more time with his family while cultivating his True Divinity. As long as he was prepared for the worst-case scenario, everything would be fine.

With that in mind, he fused the extracted essences by fusing them together. He created a swirl of the four essences that were slowly turning into one big core component of the future True Divinity.

In the end, he failed, forcing him to destroy the fused essences and separate them properly to make sure that he could use them again without losing the slightest bit of their potency.

This was extremely painful, to the extent that he began to wonder what the hell he was doing to himself. He questioned whether he was a masochist or not, just to start smiling like a silly child.

It was fine to be afraid of pain and to dislike pain, but the fear of pain shouldn't have enough power to influence him and prevent him from doing things he would do otherwise.

With that in mind, Dilan started the fusion process once again.

He spent years fusing the essences perfectly. However, when he was finally done, Dilan was proud of himself. He sighed deeply and lay down on the ground.

His clothes were long since drenched in a cold sweat but Dilan didn't care about that at this moment. He used the Flame of the Beginning to dry his clothes and body before he stared at the white ceiling.

Ariel Silvertale was seated in the same room as him, her eyes were closed and she sat down in a stance that was usually used to meditate.

A golden figurine of herself in the fetal position flotation right above her palms. It was her True Divinity!

Most Gods would never expose their True Divinity towards others, not if they didn't create their True Divinity with an external means such as a burning start. The Sun God did that, which was a very common way to create a True Divinity.

However, Ariel Silvertale's True Divinity had been created with the Essence of her Powers and her existence. It was not something she should ever expose to anyone. It was not even something she should show someone, whom she trusted wholeheartedly.

But even if that was the case, it looked like Ariel Silvertale was not bothered to hide her True Divinity from Dilan. She even entered his room to have some peace and cultivate her True Divinity properly.

Nobody would bother Dialn in the creation process of his True Divinity, which was why she came to his place. At least, that was what Dilan thought at first.

Only when he came closer to her to take a more detailed look at her True Divinity, did he realize that her eyes were open and that she looked intently at him? He had bent down to see the details of her True Divinity. If she was already exposing it to him, he might as well take a proper look with his Mythic Eyes.

Looking up, he stared straight into her golden eyes that looked only at him. She didn't care about her True Divinity right now and stared at him so intently that even Dilan couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

'Am I a kid or what? She is just looking at me…There is no need to feel embarrassed!' He thought toward himself in his mind, yet, Dilan swallowed his saliva. He looked at her deeply in response to her intense stare, not sure what he was waiting for.

It was hard to make him feel embarrassed but the intense stare of one of the most beautiful women in the Universe was something that even Dilan could hardly handle.

Not only was he just a man but he hardly had time to think about women for a long time. The only thing he thought about for the vast majority of his life was to protect his beloved.

However, he still recalled something about his past, the time years before the Primordial Ascension happened.

He had seen such intense eyes as Ariel's before, a long time ago. Her eyes spoke more than a thousand words. They told Dilan a story, a story about something he had already lived through in the past but much less intensive than it was right now.

His heart skipped a beat and he began to wonder what was going on with him, even though he could already fathom what was happening.

'Am I a little bit rusty because it has been ten thousand years? I turned into a fool…haha,' Dilan told himself, smiling lightly at the Queen of the Essence Angels. Her lips parted slightly, and the words that came out of her mouth began to resound in Dilan's ears.

"Why can't you love me?"

"...Huh?"
