Unheard Wishes: A Tale Of Desires

"Alright time for cooking," Adam folded the sleeves of his white shirt with a smile and Miyako thought that this would be a good opportunity.

"Are you going to make Pancakes for dinner?" Adam nearly faltered in his steps after hearing that because…

"Why did you have to bring that up?" Adam asked with a deadpan look while Miyako just stuck out her tongue.

This was her revenge for what he did to her before, but what she didn't know was…

'Even my pancakes are healthy you know? I made that just because I thought the kids would eat it more willingly instead of a salad or such,' In the end, Adam shook his head since he couldn't explain it to Miyako and could only drink his sorrows like usual.

"So, dinner for 6 with two children, hmm…" Adam muttered as he was thinking of how much he should cook but…

"Oh, it will only be us and the kids, Ichigo and Ai will not be able to make it home for dinner," Miyako said as Adam stopped.

"Ai has to attend an event for her upcoming movie and Ichigo has to go as well," Miyako explained the information she got from Ichigo since Ai just sent an 'Ok' after she told her that Adam was visiting.

'She is really busy I guess,' Miyako thought but unknown to her there was a smile on her lips because of this.

"I see," Adam nodded in understanding and looked at the vegetables he had taken out, in the end, he didn't put back anything and started chopping.

"I'll help as well," Miyako may not be a great cook, but she at least knew how to cut vegetables to some extent.

'Also I won't leave this chance,' Miyako was going to stay near Adam since he had come after a few days of no contact, so she wanted to talk to him but…

'I can't think of what I can talk to him about, I don't know I just have trouble looking him in the eye after thinking all of 'that',' Miyako sighed as she couldn't muster up her courage while they were working in the kitchen.

'Is she alright?' Adam wondered looking at Miyako as he placed the pot of water on the stove since she was sighing a lot.

But Miyako seemed to have gotten over it quickly as she was observing Adam cook, she couldn't think of something else so she started to talk about what she could see.

"Are you sure that you aren't an actual chef rather than a patissier?" Miyako just had that question since the way he cooked looked way too professional.

'And beautiful, it is like I am watching a show,' Miyako as she saw Adam's hand dance around the place as he was working in the kitchen, It was like a play, with no exaggerated movements or such, plain and simple yet breath-taking.

Like cooking wasn't supposed to be this epic, right?

"I can be called a chef I guess, though I have mostly only cooked for myself," Adam spoke while stirring the ladle in the pot, he tasted a little to check and…

'Hmm, great, the aroma is appetizing as well,' Adam thought as he placed the ladle down and looked at the hot oil that had reached the proper temperature.

And as Adam was focused on his cooking time passed quickly, so quickly that even Miyako was shocked, and it was soon time for dinner. 

"C'mon kids it is time to eat," Adam said to Ruby and Aqua who were in the living room, They were brought in by Miyako who was used to their stubbornness but...

'They seem more compliant today,' Miyako was shocked that Ruby of all people stopped watching Ai's fancam videos for once, normally it was hell and only Ai herself could get her to the dinner table in one command.

'Cake~, Cake~,' Ruby was swooning not because of the food but because of what would come after that, If Ai had made the dinner it would've been perfect for her since she would love both.

But they were in for a surprise today since…

'This looks a little too good to be ordered, and there is no way Miyako made this,' Aqua was already aware of what happened while looking at the Katsudon in front of him.

'Just looking at that egg is making me happy,' Aqua was someone who liked eggs. So, he was already hyped looking at this rice bowl topped with fried pork along with the slightly cooked eggs and dashi.

"Fired pork?" Ruby on the other hand wasn't a fan of fried pork there were quite a few reasons for that but.

"I heard from Miyako that your stomach gets upset with pork so I made one with tofu for you," Adam said with a smile placing her bowl in front of her.

Ruby couldn't stomach anything heavy as it made her feel weird after how she lived in her previous life, There was nothing wrong with her digestive system now but something grained in her soul, a physical reaction that shouldn't be there.

She even felt unwell at times if she ate fried food items.

'But she is totally fine with snacks and when Ai cooks,' Aqua had more to complain but didn't since the Katsudon in front of him was calling for him and before he knew it he had already lifted a thick slice of that juicy fried pork, it looked so good that he didn't even want to eat it, rather he just wanted to stare at it.

'But I can't resist this juicy temptation, it is too much!!' Aqua was commentating on his own as he took a bite and then he went completely silent.

Both his mouth and brain stopped, only his hand moved as he took a spoonful of egg and rice soaked in dashi to bring it to his mouth.

And even if there was a little more dashi than what he was used to Aqua didn't mind it, not to mention the sweet onions that had attacked his taste buds out of nowhere.

Ruby on the other side also wasn't fairing too well against the dish she had.

'This is delicious, Tofu tasting this good should be criminal!' Ruby ate quickly despite her small mouth and Adam was happy that she enjoyed the food. The crispy outside made a pleasing crunchy sound with the soft tofu, it was too good to be left uneaten.

And just as Miyako came from the kitchen with her and Adam's bowl unaware of how much the kids were enjoying the food...

Ding*

The doorbell rang making Adam look that way.

"I'll get it," Miyako went ahead after placing the bowl in her hand on the table.

'Who is it at this time? Don't tell me it is another delivery?' Miyako thought as there shouldn't be anyone else coming to her, but as soon as she saw how was outside with the screen near the door, she opened the door quickly because…

"Hello, Miyako, where are the kids and Mister?" It was none other than Ai wearing light blue jeans and an oversized off-white hoodie with a panda print on the front.

"They are at the table having dinner," Miyako said as Ai took off her white cap and hung it on the rack before she took off her shoes.

"Oh, that makes sense," Ai quickly went towards the dining room in a flash leaving Miyako on the door who was waiting for...

"That shitty idol is so fast!" Ichigo came a few seconds later panting heavily.

'She didn't even wait for me in the elevator, I'll make sure to let her know the consequences,' Ichigo was of course fuming, Ai's safety was a big concern for him, but she was just a headache sometimes because of how she just refused to comply.

Though it only happened rarely…

"What happened? Weren't you guys supposed to be at the event for that movie?" Miyako asked and Ichigo felt like he was about to faint.

"Ai suddenly said that she had a stomach ache and wasn't feeling very well," As much as Ichigo wanted Ai to attend the party since it was for her good and would get her more public coverage thanks to the main actor's fans swarming in droves.

"So, you brought her back in the end?" Miyako asked as Ichigo got his shoes off and was wearing the indoor slippers.

"What else am I supposed to do? She always takes her work seriously, so if she said she wasn't feeling well something must be wrong, not to mention I am having flashbacks…" At the end of his words, Ichigo shivered in fear because the last time Ai mentioned a stomach ache it was a whole damn catastrophe.

'She wasn't feeling good?' Miyako understood what was going on, as a woman she could understand Ai more than anyone else.

'She was fine just now…'
