YIN-YANG DEVOURER

Devourer Art part 3(44)

After a few minutes of silence Ruvan finally spoke.

"This… You are my Ancestor?"

"Phew"

"I am a mere fragment of soul…"

"But to answer your question, that's it, boy."

"Im are your Ancestor…" Azkabar said after a deep sigh.

"And good? Has your life been going well?"

"Mmm I haven't had a bad time…"

"Hahahaha every time I see you remind me of me when I was young…" Azkabar said when he saw how Ruvan was acting in a carefree manner in front of him.

"How did you get this scroll?"

"My Master gave it to me… She told me that she found it in the grave of one of your wives" Ruvan said honestly after all that was the story that Xiong Mei had told him.

"Svetlana… Always so smart…"

"No one thought her plan would work but here you are... thousands of years later but here you are..." Azkabar said with a smile full of feelings as he remembered his Machiavellian wife. She was always his right hand when it came to devising stratagems.

"Do you know how long it has been since my death?" Azkabar asked.

"I have no idea but according to my Master it must have been at least several hundred thousand years," Ruvan replied.

"Phew…. Shit it took time"

"Is it so difficult for the Devourer physique to appear?" Ruvan asked curiously after everything he knew he had learned from Xiong Mei.

"Difficult? Hahahaha almost impossible I would say"

"I had tens of thousands of descendants but none of them managed to inherit my physique…"

"It was only after a powerful ritual that I was assured the line of descendants of one of my children would inherit my physique…" Azkabar said while clarifying a little bit of the mysteries behind his descent.

"Do you know if any of my other descendants managed to survive?" Azkabar asked curiously after all during the destruction of the Pleasure Palace, he was busy facing the powerful cultivators who had come to invade his domain.

"I have no idea but my Master told me that several survivors of the palace massacre founded many other sects on different continents…"

"But I'm not sure if any of them are your direct descendants, Ancestor" Ruvan said seriously.

"Ancestor…I dont like how it soundes... Better call me Uncle Az, will you?" Azkabar said while waving his hand after all, he had never been a formal person.

 "..."

"And you? Do you have any other siblings?" Akabar asked with interest.

"Mmm I have two direct sisters…" Ruvan answered sincerely. Apparently his relationship with Azkabar came from his mother's side, so the rest of his half-siblings had nothing to do with the conversation.

"Mmm I see…"

"Someday I would like to meet them…"

"Now let's focus on what's important... If your Master found Sveltana's tomb that means she has the first phase of the Devourer Art," Azkabar said with a serious tone.

"Only one phase? My Master told me there are ten" Ruvan murmured with a certain regret after all it would be a lie to say if he had not had his hopes up with the Divine grade technique.

"Hahahaha I'm sorry boy but you won't have it as easy as you think…"...

"Each of my women has the rest of the phases… You must find their tombs to obtain the rest of the phases…"

"A word of advice first… Make sure you get good women after all my wives won't give you the other phases if they don't consider your women worthy of being their successors…"

"Apparently your Master was seen as a worthy successor by my first wife Sveltana otherwise she would not have been able to access this technique" Azkabar said seriously.

"And how do I find the rest of the phaeses…" Ruvan asked with some annoyance after all, it was not easy to find the tombs of ancient experts.

"Mmmm, each of my wives escaped with the intention of reestablishing our power in different places…"

"Your Master, apparently, is part of one of the powers founded by Sveltana... The most logical thing would be that the rest of my wives are the founders of the other Dual Cultivation Sects that exist or existed," Azkabar said seriously.

Given his imminent fall, his wives were in charge of continuing his legacy before it was completely erased by his enemies. Everything went hand in hand with a complex succession plan that would await the appearance of Azkabar's successor.

"Mmm I see" Ruvan murmured as he put his hand to his chin. At least with this clue the mission did not seem completely impossible.

"By the way… Each part of the technique contains a small fragment of a map leading to my grave…"

"There is everything I left for my successor…" Azkabar said with a smile as if he were encouraging Ruvan to take what was his.

"I imagine the Ancestor has some request in return for his generosity" Ruvan said with a smile after all there was no free lunch in this world even if it came from his ancestor. From what Ruvan had heard, the man in front of him was a tyrant capable of committing all kinds of vile acts for power, he was the type of person he least imagined doing charitable acts.

"HAHAHAHAHA"

"I like it… It's good to see that you are a perceptive brat"

"I wish you could refound the legacy of my Palace" Azkabar said with a smile. This was one of its objectives but logically not the most important.

"And I would also like…"

"May you murder and enslave all the descendants of the bastards who hunted me and my family," Azkabar said with a dark look as a powerful bloodlust overcame Ruvan.

'Shit this mere soul fragment is capable of producing such a powerful bloodlust….'

'I don't even want to imagine the massacres this guy must have committed' Ruvan thought to himself.

"Oops, I'm sorry" Azkabar said when he saw how Ruvan was completely pale.

"If you help me complete my revenge I will be eternally grateful…"

"It's not like I can force you but unfortunately you are the only one capable of helping me."
