YIN-YANG DEVOURER

"Big brother, it's time for dinner" Two cheerful and colorful voices echoed through the hall as Xin and Su Lingxi approached.

"Who is the big sister and why is she hiding her face?" Su Lingixi asked innocently as she directed a curious glance towards Xiong Mei.

"Ling'er!! You can't say that to a guest of the Master" An embarrassed Xin scolded as he walked closer. The moment he noticed Xiong Mei's presence, he bowed quickly.

"Ling'er, she is my new Master... Her name is Xiong Mei. From now on, you must be respectful to her every time you see her" Ruvan said while playing with Su Lingxi's chubby cheek.

"Hello, my name is Su Lingxi and I am nine years old" Su Lingxi said as she bowed respectfully to greet Xiong Mei.

"Hello little one~" Xiong Mei greeted with a sweet voice. Very different from the one she had been using since she had shown up at Ruvan's office.

'Well, some pleople say that children have a valuable effect on women' Ruvan thought as he watched Xiong Mei caress Su Lingxi's little head with her hands. Both hands were covered by silk gloves that prevented any part of her skin from being seen.

'I wonder what kind of injuries the Master has that she covers her entire body like that' Ruvan thought as he watched Xiong Mei's small interaction with Su Lingixi.

'Mmm what a pretty girl...' 

'The other girl too... Wait. phew~, I see'... Xiong Mei murmured as she realized Xin's particular condition through her spiritual sense. She with her extensive experience had seen cases similar to Xin's so she quickly diverted her attention from the little eunuch.

"Will you join us for dinner, Master?" Ruvan asked after a few moments; however Xiong Mei shook her head, hinting that she wanted to rest. 

"I understand. Xin, you can guide the Master to the guest courtyard. Also bring her some food and wine for dinner" Ruvan ordered while patting Xin. 

Xiong Mei did not refuse and finally the group bid farewell to Xiong Mei as they continued their walk towards the dining room.

"Big brother! Did you always have a Master?" Su Lingxi asked curiously after arriving at the table.

Si Meiyao and Xin didn't comment anything but it was evident that they had perked up their ears at the little girl's question. Lira, for her part, looked at Ruvan with questioning eyes, waiting for him to explain what a hell was happening. 

"Well I didn't have a Master until about twenty minutes ago" Ruvan said as he began to summarize his meeting with Xiong Mei. He obviously omitted the secret information about his special physique and all the information concerning the Pleasure Palace.

"So, Big brother is moving away?" Su Lingxi asked while pouting. Tears threatened to come out of her eyes at any moment.

"Yes and no… I will go to another continent to train…"

"However, I will return after a year to spend time with you and take you for a walk…"

"So you don't need to worry…" Ruvan said with a smile as he sent reassuring words to the mother-daughter duo who seemed to be the ones affected by the news. Lira and Xin for their part were sure that Ruvan would never leave them stranded. 

"And what about the band of mercenaries? Will you dissolve them?" Lira asked with a serious look on her face after all they had formed a very strong bond with the group of soldiers. Their loyalty was never in doubt so she would undoubtedly feel very bad abandoning them just like that... 

"No. Not at all"

"I already talked about that about the Master…"

"The mercenaries will continue to be my personal force... But if they want to continue being useful to me, they will have to improve their cultivation levels. Because where we are going to go, they will meet all kinds of experts" Ruvan said seriously.

Ruvan's mercenaries could be considered elite among elites within the Marxus Continent but that did not mean that they would have the same effectiveness rate in a place with much more powerful cultivators.

"Don't worry... With the resources we have. I promise to have them in the Golden Core Realm in less than a year..." Lira said with a confident smile. After all, most of the mercenaries were talented young people who had been carefully chosen by Ruvan and Lira. .

"Now… With those who are already too old... I want them to stay protecting our mansion as guards…" Ruvan said seriously. There were a few mercenaries who were from the previous generation so in talent and skill they were quite inferior to the new recruits.

"Excellent… I will tell the men the news! I'm sure they will be happy…" Lira said with a delighted smile. Although she was sure that Ruvan would take her with him that does not mean that she would feel good about abandoning the mercenaries. They had forged bonds of brotherhood and camaraderie through many life and death situations. 

Finally after dinner Ruvan went to the study of his mansion.

There I take out an artifact that activates a sound block array. The matrix quickly went to work while isolating his office from anyone who might want to spy on him.

Although he usually wouldn't use it at this time he decided to use it after all Xiong Mei was residing in his house. Although he had accepted her as his Master that didn't mean that he didn't like to have privacy about certain matters.

Finally, after making all the preparations, Ruvan activated an audiovisual matrix which vibrated for several seconds until finally the other party answered Ruvan's call.

"After all these years do you finally remember to call?" A middle-aged man responded on the other side of the matrix with a mocking expression.

"Hahaha I see you're fine grandpa" Ruvan said with a genuine smile when he saw that his grandfather hadn't changed anything.

"And…? Why do you call this old man? Did you get in trouble?" Andreas asked on the other side. Andreas Svarnas was the name of Ruvan's grandfather.

"Mmm, for your good fortune, no grandpa…"

"Your grandson has matured and is now a responsible adult" Ruvan said with a proud expression as he raised his nose.

"So the reports of constant drunkenness and orgies are delusions of my spies?" Andreas responded with a mocking expression.

"Shit..."

"Hahahahaha" Seeing his grandson's troubled face, he couldn't help but laugh out loud.
