A Bond Beyond Blood

[REWRITE] Confrontation

A young lady heaved a heavy sigh, impatiently tapping her foot. She glanced over at her phone, sneakily hidden under her desk, not paying heed to the lesson at hand in any capacity.

"Agh, that idiot... fucking answer already."

Disgruntled, he kept herself from yelling her frustrations aloud, only keeping it to a whisper.

Her eyes caught a glimpse of what she considers her 'rival', paying close attention to the lesson.

"Well, not exactly a rival..." she murmured.

Still, she couldn't shake the feeling of jealousy she got.

Whenever she talked to Takumi, he would always glance at her. It didn't feel like he noticed it either, like it was just natural for him to stare at her. He didn't hide nor ever comment on it.

"What's so special about her..." she sighed again. "Why can't he look at me like that for once?"

She couldn't understand the appeal. Was it her weird hair color? But then she would be much better to look at, it stands out way more. Or is it just because the girl in front is smarter than her?

In any case, she felt incredibly irritated.

When the lessons ended, and she still hadn't gotten any message on where he suddenly went off to she decided to confront the girl, going with her gut that she would know. Out in the hallway, Kiyomi tapped on her shoulder aggressively.

"Hey, you!" She aggressively yelled out.

To her surprise, the girl turned around with a smile on her face.

"Who might you be?" She asked, knowing damn well who she is.

"You gotta be..."  She grumbled, ticked off at her attitude. "Anyways, Takumi, where is he? You know that, right?"

The girl, her smile widening, simply shrugged at her question.

"No clue~"

"Wha-?"

"One moment he was there, next he was gone. Crazy how that goes. Anywayyys~"

She pushed past Kiyomi, bumping right into her.

"Stop fucking around. I'm serious here, where did he go to?!"

Kiyomi reached out to her shoulder subconsciously, but got pushed away.

"If he wanted you to know, he would have told you. Anything else?"

Something about the way she spoke was aggravating. It felt as if she saw herself above everyone else to the point even answering a simple question was below her.

She took a deep breath, calming her nerves, and looked her in the eye again.

"Fine, I'll go find him myself then."

"Good luck~" The girl chirped as she walked away, seemingly happier than before.

Kiyomi gave one last glance at her phone.

To her surprise, there was a notification.

"I felt sick, so I headed home" read the message.

Reading that, she suddenly felt a smile creep up on her face as well.

Guess she doesn't need to find him after all.
