A Failure's hopeful Journey

After dealing with the so-called captain, You Xi Wang made a complaint against him with the deputy commander. He also asked for the other four to be placed in his team. Which was also agreed upon by the higher up. Deputy Commander knew how good You Xi Wang was at handling his new team so if he is given a team he knows more his efficiency will come into play. 

Finally, after the meal, everyone returned to rest while You Xi Wang and Yuki got some time along. Usually the cold demoness Yuki was like a tamed cat in You Xi Wang's presence while the boy would also turn into a body pillow for her. They hugged each other as they messed with each other. Suddenly You Xi Wang's communicator went off. 

"Third-grade alert. All teams report to the squad hall. Third-grade alert/ All teams report to the squad hall."

The boy pressed a screen and said, "Captain You Xi Wang, acknowledges. On the way." he stood up sorted out his clothes, and rushed to the squad hall with Yuki and the other three. He arrived in tandem with the other 3 captains. They exchanged a nod, took their positions in front of the objective table. 

Old Major walked in and hollered, "FUCKING SOUTHERN SQUAD."

The first captain asked, "Boss, calm down. What happened?"

The old man glared at him and said in rage, "These ignorant southern bitches. Their captain used a spirit bomb near a gamma spot parameter. The barrier flags blew up and now a swarm is pouring in. 30 minutes and it will swallow us. They asked for backup. Fucking retards."

You Xi Wang quickly used the table in front of him, a holographic map was projected from it. The old major quickly adjusted the map to display the targeted area. A swarm of insects could be seen five kilometers ahead of the barrier array flags. The old man said, "I don't know who will do it, how you will do it. But I assure you one thing when you do it. You are cleared to go to the southern squad base and beat the shit out of them."

The three captains looked at each other, dealing with a swarm was very difficult. You Xi Wang turned to his team. Fenny blinked at him in assurance. He said to the old man, "Sir, my team will take charge of this. We leave right now."

The old man nodded to him. You Xi Wang said, "Only five of us will go. We will deal with it at a better speed" then he turned to his team and they all rushed out. 

He quickly left the squad hall and the old man spat to the three experienced captains, "You guys still call yourself, Veterans? If you had only half the courage he has... humph." with the snort he left the squad hall.

You Xi Wang and the four were riding on the lev-buggy. Allan sighed, "Finally a team adventure."

The others gazed at him in surprise, they never expected Allan to say something like that. They all started laughing. Unaware that all this is being watched by several high-level people back in the command center. 

Other than the commander and the deputies, all the majors were here as well. The old major at this moment had his fists balled. The scene of five kids laughing as nothing happened made them all ashamed. Suddenly, they heard Maddison chuckle.

They all turned heads, only to find the lady shaking her head. She picked up a com from her side and spoke, "Captain You Xi Wang, what is the status report, over."

On the screen You Xi Wang suddenly fell quiet he coughed and replied using his communicator, "We are headed to the eruption spot, commander, over."

Maddison asked back, "What is the plan of action, over."

The boy replied with a calm tone, "Ballet in the swarm, AOE style, over."

Maddison nodded and said, "Good, we will be watching you, Over and Out."

On the screen, the kids erupted in laughter again as Fenny said, "Teacher Maddi sounds so serious. I doubted her of having a twin."

Maddison held her forehead in her palm, she said, "These brats."

On the buggy, the captain exhaled heavily and the atmosphere turned solemn. The boy said, "Everyone knows how to go AOE?"

Neo replied first, "I make small barriers."

The other three said, "We make it rain in the barriers." in unison.

You Xi Wang nodded, "By the time we reach the spot, the swarm would be spread further. Neo, you make the barriers. The rest of you try to hold it back, I will run along and place the barrier flags. This is the first goal. Second, we push these fucker back to the hell hole they came from. For that, I plan to use martial spirit."

Fenny replied after some thought, "It can work but you cannot rush in alone. Wait till we catch up from behind hold the spot. Cool?"

You Xi Wang nodded, Yuki said, "Use your mouth." the boy sighed, "Yes, yes, I promise."

Soon they reached near the spot and a lot of creepy sounds were heard. They spotted some soldiers trying to fight off. You Xi Wang got off the buggy and said, "I am going on ahead. All the best guys."

The other four nodded and they also got off the vehicle. Neo stepped forward, stomped on the ground as his hands made a seal, he spoke, "Earth Barriers."

The land beneath their feet shook, soon a barrier started to form up. It was like a wall, trailing along the area where the bugs swarmed. These bugs were crawler types. So it will take them quite a few minutes to climb the 30 feet high wall. 

Fenny, Yuki, Allan, and Neo climbed up the wall with the help of earthen ladder on the side of it. The chubby cutie sighed, "Talk about high level pest control."

Yuki chuckled, Allan said, "Girlie, be serious." fenny became obedient. They even did a stone paper scissors. The red haired boy won, he smirked as he took out a lev board. This was a gift from Elfhiem, he asked Fenny to change it a little. Now as long as the board is provided spirit energy, it can levitate at any height the rider wants.

He took the board a few hundred feet ahead, spread his hands wide open and said, "Ember rain." his words dropped, following it ember sparks started to fly in the sky, all flying out from his body. It was as if he was a torch, and sparks were flying off of him. 

Fenny sighed, "See this show off, no wonder the ladies in the squad can't wait to eat him."

Yuki smiled as she shook her head.

In the command center, a southern major spat, "Is this a joke?"

The old major wanted to rebuke him but Maddison spoke first, "I would like it if you don't speak whether something is a joke or not, Major Alexis." her cold voice made the guy quite. 

Soon every one stood surprised, The sparks fell, covering one fourth of the swarm. As soon as the sparks touched the bugs, they burned. It was as if a pond of fire suddenly lit up. Everybody in the Command Center was surprised at this. Fenny look down the wall and yelled at Neo, who stood below, "Kitty Boy, five hundred meter ahead!!!"

Neo gave her an OK signal, and another layer earth wall was constructed. It was like U shaped wall, but now the crest was lessened. The two girls ran forward to make the next attack.

You Xi Wang was running along the wall as he planted barrier flags behind him. He controlled his spirit energy and opened up a hold in the wall. He has a five elemental body remember. Before any bugs could crawl out he let out a arrow of spirit energy. It was his bow and arrow intent. The spirit arrow cleared a path for him as he ran inside closing the opening behind him. The boy had a layer of sword intent covering his body as he ran, so the bugs were pacified.

These bugs had a very creepy look, as if roaches with slim on their bodies. This would make anyone sick, as the Flags were being buried as You Xi Wang ran, the bugs were replused,

While he was running, Yuki was using Allan's lev board to step in the sky, she said, "tide of death." as soon as she spoke coldly. A high tide erupted from her body, soon it wiped out bugs from another one fourth area of the wall. Now they had two fourth or half of the region under control.

Fenny took the lev board from her when Yuki returned. Neo made the thrid wall, as the ret move forwards. Fenny caught a glance of You Xi Wang fighting in the middle of the swarm, with his spear and sword. She spoke, "Lightning shower."

The next second, streaks of lighting started to shake in her hands. She moved them as if a music conductor. Next moment, lightning fell from the sky. Everywhere it landed it left a huge crater. The bugs were blasted into nothing.

Inside the command Center, even a breath was audible. Someone said, "Who are these guys?" in surprise.

Maddison Midnight replied, "Phantoms. My strongest students."

Although the situation has not yet been completed solved. These kids did control the outbreak which was much needed. So, it was okay to boast about them.
