Volume 2 Chapter 52: Baking With Carolyn

Volume 2 Chapter 52: Baking With Carolyn

"..." The room became silent from Julius's words.

"What?" William stared at him, wondering what he said.

"I'm not letting my daughter get a boyfriend so soon!" Julius made it clear! He saw how they interacted.

And he didn't like it one bit!

His daughter was going to be taken away by this kid!

"Our son isn't going to get married either," Sophia stated.

"What?" Now it was Camelia's turn to be surprised,

"He needs to get married." What was her daughter saying?! Was Keith going to be single for the rest of her life?!

And it seemed that it was the case with Sophia!

"No way! I'm not letting my son get married!" Sophia wasn't having any of that! Like that, an argument ensued.

William glared at Julius, "See what you did,"

...

"Ngh." Keith blinked his eyes as he got up from his bed. I guess I was too tired. He remembered talking with Alvin and Eric before leaving.

He knew he had passed out from exhaustion. It's been a while since I ran anything. Keith chuckled. But he was excited that he did. But as he was getting up,

"Huh? Why are the four of you here?" What he saw was the four snowballs on his bed. He was surprised to see them there. But he became silent, not wanting to wake them up.

Keith turned to Aria. The latter's face said they summoned themselves here at night.

"I see." Keith understood. Cadmus said that some familiars could teleport to their contractors whenever they wanted. And that was what the four did. When he got up from his bed, he noticed Carolyn beside him!

I see. So that's what happened. Keith noticed the wrinkled stains on his clothes. It was from Carolyn gripping so tight.

"Ngh!" Carolyn started to wake up too now.

"Good Morning, Carolyn."

"Morning." Carolyn had a drowsy expression as she said this.

"Where are you going, Keith?" Carolyn wiped her eyes as she asked.

"Going to bake some bread for everyone." Keith smiled.

"Ooh, can I watch?" "Sure. And please be quiet. The little ones are still sleeping."

Keith pointed at the bed. Carolyn quickly covered her mouth as she saw the baby Samuis sleeping.

Carolyn and Keith slowly went out and headed to the kitchen.

"Let me help you tie the apron." Keith took a spar apron from his storage and tied it around him. They washed their hands and got to work. He took out the dough,

"Is that bread?"

"Well, it's going to be baked into bread. It's a milk loaf. You haven't tried this before." Keith had this proof up for future use.

"Now, we'll knead it." Keith started to knead the dough. Carolyn watched as he did.

He smiled, "Do you want to try?"

"Mmhmm!"

"Go for it." Keith gestured. And like that, Carolyn started to knead the bread. But she didn't control her strength.

Poof! Because of the pocket of air, flour shot at her face.

"..." There was a moment of silence. But Keith looked at Carolyn's face and laughed,

"There's flour all over your face!"

"How can you laugh at me?" Carolyn pouted as she stared at him.

"Sorry. Let me clean you up." Keith took a towel and wiped her face. While he was doing that,

"Don't they look good together?"

"Indeed."

Camelia and Lionel stared at them from the door. The two noticed Keith and Carolyn walking around the hall. Lionel wanted to call out, but Camelia stopped him. And they were glad they didn't butt in.

"Let's not tell the others about this."

"I think Julius might go crazy."

The two made a vow of silence. Keith showed Carolyn how to knead it. And like that, they made a loaf. But Keith wasn't done.

"What does this look like?"

"That's a cat!"

"Mmhmm!" Shaping the dough was easy.

"Do you want to shape it?"

"Yep!" Carolyn took a piece of dough and started to shape it. Keith stared at it and noticed that it was a blob.

"Is that Mir?" Keith blinked a few times.

"Mmhmm. I want to make him!" Carolyn smiled.

"...I see," Keith said nothing more as he continued to shape the bread. He quickly brought it over to the oven to let it bake.

"We just need to wait now." Keith smiled as he placed the bread in.

"Po!" While they waited, the four snowballs came rushing from the door! They jumped on Keith.

"You guys are so energetic early in the morning." Keith smiled as he watched the four lick his face. They were so happy to meet with him.

It seemed they wanted to make up for lost time.

"Thank you for bringing them here, Aria." Aria chose to stay behind. She understood the snowballs would be confused when Keith was gone.

"Um, Keith?" "I should introduce you to them." Keith smiled as he introduced them,

"This energetic one is Inti. He's the most mischievous one. The big one is Cloud; he's the laziest. And this here is their daughter, Lily."

One by one, he introduced the snowballs to Carolyn.

"Hello." Carolyn waved her hands. Inti and the two stared at Carolyn. They weren't hostile to her. But they weren't close either. The only one was Mir. Keith placed them down and let them run around,

"Po!" Inti nudged Keith from the back,

"What's the matter, Inti?"

"Po! Po!" Inti jumped up and down.

"Ahh, it's been a while since we played that."

"Play?"

"Mmhmm. This." Keith took out a frisbee.

"Go!" Keith tossed the frisbee. Inti and Mir started to chase after it. While that happened, Cloud decided to sleep on Keith's leg.

Couch potato mode activated.

Lily and Carolyn stared at one another. It seemed the two were shy with one another. But they seemed to get closer. Lily lay on Carolyn's legs.
