Beastman Forcefully Raising a Wife

Chapter 80

Edited by Squid

What was going on now? How could snake eggs move? Could they be not eggs? But why wouldn’t they? Did the children inherit his genes and become human?

At this time, Shu Jintian was alone in the cave. He sat blankly on the wooden stool with his mind in a disarray. Shu Jintian was pessimistic during his pregnancy and now began to let his imagination run wild again. As he was thinking about how his child might be human, he suddenly thought of a possibility and his face abruptly lost colour before he could be happy about it.

From the conception period, something seemed a bit off. At the start, he just assumed it was malnutrition, but now he had already doubled the nourishment, yet his belly wasn’t growing as quickly as before. It has already been over fifty days since the last time he and Shu Hanyu did it but he gave birth within forty days during his last pregnancy. The time this one was taking was already far too long.

The reason Shu Jintian would think so was because he still viewed Shu Hanyu as a human. He never imagined that a Spiritual Snake’s sperm could survive in his body for a long period and had no idea that the conception period was completely random.

Shu Jintian thought back to the days along the timeline. First, he passed out and was captured by a beastman, but he regained consciousness early, so it probably had nothing to do with that beastman. Then, he was saved by the mermaid after falling into the ocean. He didn’t know how long he was asleep, but when he woke up, the merman was investing in him without any reservations which made him feel incredibly grateful. But on the first day, the merman took off his clothes, washed them, and put them back on Shu Jintian’s body without him being aware of it at all. Back then, his internal organs were damaged and several parts of his body were incredibly painful, he wouldn’t have been able to notice a minor discomfort in his body.

Could it be… that merman did that to him… Impossible! Hong Zao wasn’t that type of person! Once Shu Jintian thought of this possibility, he rapidly refuted himself. But after a while, he couldn’t help carefully thinking back.

The more he thought, the more Shu Jintian’s complexion paled. His impression of Hong Zao was pretty good, and there were many times he realised he was in Hong Zao’s arms while he was in a daze. Hong Zao once became lustful towards him while he was sound asleep; if he hadn’t awoken at that time, looking at his attitude, he would definitely have done it all the way. Then when he was saved and brought ashore by Hong Zao while unconscious, did he do this to him? If so, Shu Jintian definitely wouldn’t have woken up!

Thinking of this, if Hong Zao truly did so, then his goodwill towards him and unconditional investment seemed to have an even more reasonable explanation. 【(Author Notes) Because of everyone’s request, I released big snake ahead of time, and many of the merman’s scenes were deleted. Many details filled with adultery weren’t written, and I only wrote the most dubious few matters. It isn’t too far-fetched ba? o(︶︿︶)o】

“Tiantian, what’s wrong? I just heard your voice.” Shu Hanyu came into the cave at some unknown time. His words barely fell when he already reached Shu Jintian’s side, wrapping around Shu Jintian’s body habitually.

“Ah! Hanyu!” Shu Jintian was thinking too seriously and jumped in surprise upon suddenly hearing his voice.

As if perceiving the outside environment, the little baby in his belly moved again. Shu Jintian stiffened and hastily shifted his belly away, afraid Shu Hanyu would notice the peculiarity of their child.

“I- I’m fine,” Shu Jintian stuttered. The strangeness in his belly made Shu Jintian unable to help but guiltily avoid Shu Hanyu’s embrace.

Shu Hanyu turned Shu Jintian’s head with a frown, quietly saying, “Your complexion is very bad. Are you unwell? Are you about to give birth?”

Ever since his stomach became distinctly larger, Shu Jintian’s meals were handed over to Shu Hanyu to deal with.

“Oh! Food is almost done. Do you want to eat up there or in here today?” Shu Hanyu withdrew his hand a little unhappily. It had been a very long time since Tiantian had rejected him like this.

“Here ba.” Shu Jintian sat where he was, in a slightly defensive posture, afraid that Shu Hanyu would notice something strange about his stomach.

He wasn’t certain about this matter, but it was better not to trouble Shu Hanyu with it. If it truly wasn’t Shu Hanyu’s seed, then he absolutely couldn’t allow Shu Hanyu to realise it. Shu Hanyu was so cold-blooded he would even abandon his own flesh and blood, so it would be even more dangerous for this child. It was better to wait for the child to be born before they talk about it ba. Perhaps the child just inherited his form. If it was the big snake’s child, their appearance would look at least a little like him no matter what ba. For now, he could only do it one step at a time ba.

“Alright then. I’ll bring the food down.” Seeing Shu Jintian’s rather bad complexion, he kissed Shu Jintian’s lips soothingly. Shu Jintian didn’t avoid him.

Tiantian didn’t reject this intimacy, so why did he avoid some of his touches ne?

Shu Hanyu got up and left, privately sighing helplessly. Tiantian had already given birth once, so why was he still so uneasy like the first time?

The seeds of doubt were planted in Shu Jintian’s heart and were frantically growing like a wild vine, seizing it and breaking down Shu Jintian’s trust towards Hong Zao day by day. What originally had been three parts doubt had grown to five parts as time elapsed.

These days, Shu Jintian would often be absent-minded, looking at his belly and going into a daze when he was alone. After the first fetal movement, the baby seemed to have let go and would perform ‘gymnastics’ every day to frighten Shu Jintian. During these movements, Shu Jintian would have a sort of father-child link that made him feel a peculiar contentedness, as well as worry over this child’s origins. When facing Shu Hanyu, Shu Jintian couldn’t help but gather his spirits to conceal his belly.

Shu Hanyu merely assumed that Shu Jintian was afraid and would often reassure him, but it was completely useless.

In such a living atmosphere, although Shu Jintian’s belly was still growing like a blown balloon, he himself was losing a lot of weight. His face that had been slightly round from the pregnancy had thinned down to his pre-pregnancy appearance at a visible pace as the days passed.

Shu Hanyu was a little distressed for Shu Jintian, bringing back various ingredients that could be eaten every day. When Shu Hanyu left, Guoguo would always be by Shu Jintian’s side… sleeping in. Over ten days passed like this, and Shu Jintian’s birthing date finally arrived.

At noon of this day, the family of three were all in the cave. Shu Hanyu and Guoguo had both turned into their Spiritual Snake form and were dozing on the floor, whereas Shu Jintian was sitting by the bed and weaving rattan clothes.

It seemed like a very peaceful day, but one large and small Spiritual Snake did not know that Shu Jintian’s belly had faint aches and that it had actually gone on for most of the day already.

The light pain in his abdomen didn’t affect Shu Jintian much and merely distracted Shu Jintian from the continuous motions in his belly. The needlework in his hands didn’t progress much for most of the day.

It was only when the pain abruptly increased that Shu Jintian nearly cried out in pain. But the rushed breathing still caught Shu Hanyu’s attention.

“Tiantian!” Shu Hanyu swiftly turned into his human form, striding over to Shu Jintian’s side.

“Tiantian, what’s wrong? Are you about to give birth?” Shu Hanyu’s heart ached from Shu Jintian being tormented over the children every day. Seeing Shu Jintian having signs of giving birth to the eggs, he was very happy.

After Tiantian birthed the eggs, he probably wouldn’t be so unhappy. Shu Hanyu wrapped his arms around Shu Jintian and touched his round belly.

“No- I’m fine ah,” Shu Jintian said in a panic, unobtrusively tilting his body to avoid Shu Hanyu’s caress.

Waves of pain came from his belly, and it was clear he was about to give birth. Upon genuinely reaching this moment, Shu Jintian became timid and didn’t dare face Shu Hanyu.

The smile on Shu Hanyu’s face faltered and he lowered his face in disappointment. “Oh. Then are you hungry? I’ll go find some food for you to eat. You should eat more so that the snake eggs came come out sooner.”

It had been a long time already, yet why wasn’t it time for him to give birth? It was now summer, and it should be quicker than winter pregnancies ah. Shu Hanyu was incredibly baffled.

Hearing this, Shu Jintian’s thoughts turned. He hesitated for a while, then finally went for broke and spat out a breath, forcing a smile as he said, “Alright ah, I just so happen to be hungry. I want to eat fish and the wild vegetables that look like flowers.”

“Okay! I’ll go then,” Shu Hanyu replied gently. It had been very long since Tiantian was this interested in eating. Being able to make Shu Jintian happy made him very excited.

“But… the two types of food are so far away. It’ll take a long time ba. Let’s just forget it, just eat fish.” Shu Jintian feigned feeling awkward and finally giving up on the delicacy. His brows also furrowed, his hands hidden under the rattan clothes tightening. His body was already covered in a layer of cold sweat.

Shu Hanyu didn’t realise this and just thought that Shu Jintian was just frowning because he couldn’t eat what he wanted and thus hastily said, “It’s fine. I’m very quick, so just wait for me.”

As Shu Hanyu spoke, he glanced at the little snake still sticking close to the ground and cooling off, saying deeply, “Guoguo, I’m going out to get food. You take care of papa well.”

Being called in a dignified manner by male father, Guoguo abruptly shot up to a seated position, spitting his tongue out to reply to male father before swiftly crawling towards Shu Jintian, circling around Shu Hanyu to come to Shu Jintian’s feet.

Ever since Guoguo turned back to his snake form, his form was swiftly growing. Now, his snake form was the width of a grapefruit and his human form was about two years old which could stagger along a few steps already. When Guoguo stood up, a pair of genitals similar to his male father limply hung down, causing Shu Jintian to be unable to bear looking straight at it. If it weren’t because Guoguo rarely used his human form, he definitely would have made a pair of pants for Guoguo to wear.

Shu Hanyu touched Shu Jintian’s hair, gently saying, “I’ll be going.”

“Mn!” Shu Jintian could barely squeeze out a not-too-ugly smile and waved at Shu Hanyu.

“No need to rush, remember to be careful.”

Shu Hanyu agreed with a smile, then turned into his Spiritual Snake form and crawled out of the cave.

As Shu Hanyu disappeared behind the entrance, Shu Jintian collapsed and went limp, sitting on the bed as his chest rapidly rose and fell.

Baba? Guoguo was startled and crawled to Shu Jintian’s side in concern, rubbing his head against Shu Jintian’s face.

“Be good, Guoguo, papa is alright. I’m- I’m just about to birth babies,” Shu Jintian strenuously comforted Guoguo, bearing through the pain to undo his pants.

The pain this time was too sudden and wasn’t on the same level as the previous pain. Shu Jintian knew that the birth this time won’t be so easy.

Baobao Notes

Just a translator note: generally there aren’t any indicators whether someone says one or many of something, so when they say baby, it could either mean (one)baby or (several)babies, or like how child= child/children.
