Celia: After Dying in the Apocalypse, I Live Once Again!

Volume 5. Chapter 17: I Took a Decently Long Break. (Chapter 418.)

Chapter 17: I Took a Decently Long Break.

(Celia’s POV)

At a roadblock, there really wasn’t any reason to do… most things. Either we’ll survive the game, or we will end up all dead. Before then, finding motivation to do anything was basically nonexistent.

Or, I should clarify that I mean work. For a few years, Sava and I taught everyone how to survive without a System, and while being a weak human as well. We took so many trips to her universe; I ended up getting sick of that watery land…

But such a time feels immensely distant. Which, in part, is because it happened many years ago. We had finished all of our preparations extremely early. Which let us just relax and spend time with each other for… almost 100 years now.

Such a long break gave me more than enough time to get everything in order. My relationship with my wives was as solid and loving as can be, and the same went for my daughters and mothers. My friendships were great as well. Hell, Kami was practically one of my sisters by this point.

God: “It’ll start soon, Celia… Are you and your family ready?” She asked with a serious tone and expression.

Celia: “Everything has been prepared on our side, God. What about you and your wife?” I reply.

God: “Well, I am sure that we’ll survive this. Remember, start a guild as soon as possible.” She advised.

Celia: “I will, don’t worry.” I say with a nod.

To win in the game, you can either kill other opponents, or have them join your guild. Since the game was shortly upon us, Ria had explained all that she knew of it, and Sava confirmed her information without a shred of doubt.

I will have to kill some to win the game, but I will try my best to recruit as many people that are willing to join my guild. The game is like a full-dive VR experience, but, like, in real life. You have levels, skills, stats, etc. And everyone gets a system.

Zia: “God, you will be joining our guild, right?” She asked.

God: “Of course I will! Why wouldn’t I want to be on the winning side? I play the fool often, but I am not that silly.” She said with a laugh.

Nia: “We’ll likely all end up in Celia’s guild, that much is certain. But that isn’t the core issue, though.” She said with a sigh.

That’s right… The real issue is how we’ll be in different areas. Or rather, there is no way to guarantee we’ll be in the same dimension once the game starts. It is highly likely that everyone will be separated once more…

Yona: “Celia, do not worry about this. We have done enough training, and all of us will survive this game.” She said with a confident tone.

Celia: “…I hope so.” I reply with an unsure tone.

Tia: “Be more optimistic, Celia. Considering it is you and our family, we’re known for doing the impossible.” She said with a smile.

Solia: “Oh? I wasn’t aware that we were famous.” She said with a giggle.

God: “Huh? Well, at least in Heaven, your family is very famous, yes. Do you know how many people have wanted to make a movie with you all, but couldn’t because it is forbidden for living being to do work in Heaven?” She informed.

Celia: “What? I haven’t heard about this at all…” I say with a shocked tone.

I mean, I do get it somewhat. For my family, we have done many, many crazy things over the years. But if we win the game, how much further will our name and renown extend? Ah, my mind is troubled at the moment…

Guinevere: “Some tried approaching me as well. That is, before I was revived.” She added.

God: “Yes, those people are such a hassle. Even to this day, they are so many lobbying for that law to be changed…” She said with a groan.

Ria: “Perhaps once this is all over, we can make a movie about our lives?” She suggested.

Lia: “Are you joking, Ria? Please realize that… it will be at least 100 different movies, even if they cut out most of what has happened so far.” She said with a raised eyebrow.

Alisa: “And that is so FAR, Ria. Who knows what other crazy things that Celia will be doing in the future? They’ll also be giving her a prime stage for everyone to witness how crazily that Celia lives her life…” She said with a sigh.

Fuck… I completely forgot that the game will be broadcast to EVERYONE. The number of people in the game is still unknown, but it isn’t under one billion. Though that number is a lot in principle, it is small when there are countless universes and dimensions involved…

For those that aren’t fighting in the game, they must watch it all unfold. Which is kinda funny to me. Due to the game, the lives of quintillions will be uprooted, forcing them to sit down and watch a death game… Wait. This isn’t funny at all!!!

Zia: “The broadcast will be…” Her word were cut off.

Flash!

The world flashed before my eyes, and it stayed like that for… a long while. I felt like I was more than traveling through a dimension. Instead, it was similar to traveling to and from Sava’s universe. Oh, no… The game must have started already while we were talking… I didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye to anyone… Shit!

The flash finally ended, and then I was in a dense forest. The trees didn’t look to be tropical, so it wasn’t an island, thankfully. I have had more than enough of islands by now…

Swing!

Celia: “…”

Swinging my arm around, I realized that I was a weak human again. Even almost a hundred years wasn’t enough, I still miss my power… But, the game has finally started, and I must be serious now. The System… wasn’t the usual. Actually, it took a while to even learn how to use the damn thing. Sava’s System was so much better!!! As for my Status… it shocked me to the very core, and seeing it had sent shivers all throughout my entire body…
