Chapter 39: Silly Woman Didn’t Nerf the OP Items Fast Enough!!!

(Celia’s POV)

Maralia: “Max race level in just seconds… How did this happen?” She asked with a confused tone.

June: “We cheated.” She answered, not hiding the truth at all.

Celia: “…”

Maralia: “Oh, I know. I am just curious about how you did so.” She replied with a laugh.

Celia: “You saw my memories, so just look for the System Shop items.” I suggest.

Maralia: “System Shop items? What could you have bought…” She said with a thinking pose, before stopping with a shocked expression on her face.

Soon, the woman then started to laugh like a crazy person. Okay, fuck you, System. At this point, why haven’t I been given a Title or Skill relating to making women laugh? I do it so damn often… Not to mention, but since I had gotten most Upgrades and Skills, I just automatically get them once I met the requirements.

Or rather, they only cost 1 SIP to get, so I didn’t bother to mention them at all. At first, I just thought that I didn’t need them, but, perhaps out of annoyance, I realized that my System had automatically bought them for me. I didn’t mind, as it saved me time, and they were cheap as all hell.

Maralia: “Celia, the person who made the game, is my friend. Although I haven’t seen her in a very long time, I still remember our conversation vividly.” She said after she finally stopped laughing.

Celia: “What kind of conversation?” I ask with a curious tone.

Maralia: “Those items, that is, the EXP Multiplier crystals, and the Level Up Crystals, are all items she put into the store as a gag. She calculated it as well. She was certain that, even the lowest tier versions, would always be far too expensive for anyone to buy, as well as not worth it in the least.” She explained.

Celia: “…”

June: “…”

Maralia: “Of course, she didn’t expect someone like you, Celia, to ever play in this game. I’ll have them removed, and I’ll also put more reasonable items in the store later.” She continued.

June: “What about our levels?” She asked with a nervous expression.

Maralia: “You can keep them, don’t worry. Though, Celia, the crystal that you used, its effect, will be removed.” She answered.

Celia: “That’s fine.” I reply with a nod.

Snap!

Snapping her fingers, the world seemed to freeze completely. Huh? Why exactly did she pause time? I am absolutely confused right now… Not to mention; I am also shocked that Maralia is just going to let us go…

Maralia: “You two, start your evolutions. I’ll watch over until you’ve finished evolving, and also keep this dimension’s time frozen as well.” She suggested.

June: “I only have one, which is a Supreme Goddess. There, I accepted it. I’ll pass out soon.” She informed, soon starting to fall to the ground.

Perhaps this was just all too much to handle, and June just wanted to sleep? Who knows… I did catch her in time, though. So it wasn’t like she got hurt from the fall. Now, we were all safely on the ground. As for my evolutions…

-

Possible Evolution:

Supreme Goddess: SSS Grade.

:Requirements:

Reach Level 5000.

Note: Due to your current race, you get to skip being a Goddess.

-

There was only one for me to choose. It is nice that, so early into the game, I was already back at my previous race prior to the game starting. Now, I can just focus on recruiting people, and killing off anyone that goes against us…

Maralia: “A Supreme Goddess already?” She said with a raised eyebrow.

Celia: “Yeah. Crazy, right?” I reply.

Maralia: “Considering that it is you, this isn’t that crazy.” She said with a laugh.

Celia: “By the way… might I see your Status?” I ask with a curious tone.

Maralia: “You can… but do know, I got an invitation to Home countless years ago. As such, though it goes without saying, I am within the top 100 of the most powerful beings in existence, throughout every universe. Do not be discouraged.” She said with a warm tone before showing me her System.

Celia: “…”

Maralia: “Are you impressed?” She asked with a smug tone.

Celia: “I feel like I should worship you…” I reply.

Maralia: “Oh, I just ask for you to worship me in bed, nothing more.” She said with a pretty laugh.

Celia: “…”

Maralia: “I have already gotten permission from your wives, and even your daughters have accepted me. I played no tricks, nor did I threaten them, rest assured. Now, evolve already, please. Even with my power, holding up time is a hassle.” She said, urging me to evolve.

Since I now wished to follow in June’s footsteps, I quickly accepted my evolution. Soon, I fell asleep, but I felt Maralia catch me before I fell down. Oh, I kinda hope that today’s events are just a very wonderful dream. Ah, so this must be why June decided to quickly evolve, huh?…

Many Evolutions Later.

June: “Oh… so it wasn’t a dream.” She said with a deadpan tone.

Celia: “It would seem to be reality, dear.” I add with a deadpan expression.

Maralia: “Celia, you skipped over a huge portion of the game, so you should focus on building up a guild. Anyway, I’ll unfreeze time now. Before killing the rest of the Hell Spiders, you should check out the shop again.” She advised, before leaving once more.

Celia: “…”

June: “…”

Once she left, June and I just stared at each other. Again, I didn’t actually expect that we’d get away with this. As such, we just hugged each other, all in an attempt to try to coax ourselves through this crazy shit. I knew that it would work, as the shop wouldn’t sell unfunctioning goods.

Rather, I just did this to get Maralia to show up again. I hadn’t gotten enough of her; you see. In fact, I was 100% sure that she would just revert our Status’s, prior to using that EXP Crystal. Now… I feel just like June, like I had gotten so much power without even trying at all. June, today, we become true friends, and bond over the absurdity of our lives…
