Celia: After Dying in the Apocalypse, I Live Once Again!

Volume 5. Chapter 54: Lia’s Journey. (Chapter 455.)

Chapter 54: Lia’s Journey.

(Lia’s POV)

The route to Bearta wasn’t that difficult, but it still required coins to get there. As such, I had to constantly kill monsters for their useful resources on the way, all just so that I could afford to move from place to place.

With my current speed, I had no idea if I would really reach Bearta in time before my wife leaves it. Considering it is her, Celia most likely set up a base of operations in the capital city of that kingdom.

So that was my destination that I had in mind. Getting there… again, was hard. The coin needed to hire someone to transport you there, let alone guard you on the way, was very, very pricey.

Lia: “…”

Thud!

If it wasn’t for Celia, I definitely wouldn’t have gone through such an effort to get somewhere like this. Like many times before, my rented out carriage, was stopped again. It probably bandits once more…

Driver: “Miss…” He said, nervously.

Lia: “I’ll handle it, don’t worry.” I reply with a sigh.

Driver: “Thank you! If you can deal with them, then I will not charge you for this ride!” He replied, happily shaking my hands up and down.

Stepping out of the carriage, I was met with a group of bandits, about twelve in total. Peeking at their Statuses, even so weak right now, they will be no problem for me to fighting them. Should I try to say something cool in response, like Celia does?

Lia: “You all should leave or… you’ll die.” I say with a serious tone.

Nope… I always fail at things like this. With how young that I look right now, the bandits all cracked up laughing. Before they could come to their senses, I started to kill the ones closer to me.

Slash!

With how monsters I had to kill, I recently got powerful enough to learn magic again. So that was what I used to deal with the bandits. Though, I didn’t have much MP to spare, so I couldn’t kill them all with just magic, annoyingly.

Taking out my sword, I had killed the remaining bandits off. Then, before I got back on the carriage, I had moved their bodies out of the way. This area was someways away from any town or city, so leaving those bodies here should be just fine.

Days Later.

Eventually, I had dealt with all the problems such travel for a human tends to entail. I didn’t hire any guards to protect me, as I didn’t have the coins to do so. Anyway, I was now in Bearta, and the capital city was in my sights.

Some Walking Later.

Lia: “…”

Isn’t this Celia’s home base? If it is… was the city burning… part of her plans? What the hell… Well, at least it isn’t fully burning. I know my wife better than anyone, so I directly went to the most luxurious looking estates within the city. That is… if I wasn’t stopped by some very powerful looking guards…
