Custom monster system

Alex finally found the legiacris at the end of the week about two miles east of astera in a small cove with high cliffs. It was actually a pretty nice spot in Alex's opinion with a crescent moon shaped beach and a single entrance or exit. The legiacris was only a normal one so Alex wasn't that worried about the fight once he found it. The beast lived up to it's fearsome reputation though as the moment it laid eyes on Alex it grew hostile. Alex was fast under water but he wasn't built almost exclusively with that in mind so he was still slower than the legiacris that charged at him angrily.

Slower didn't mean helpless however as Alex flapped his wings propelling him to the side as the beast was about to make contact letting him rake his claws along it's left flank. "ROAR!" The monster screamed at the massive gash it had just gotten but seemed to just grow even more enraged rather than cautious , this was a mistake. The beast sparked with electricity from it's electrode spikes as it charged at Alex again. This time the attack ended even worse than the first one as Alex clouded the water with his strongest poison before totally ignoring the electricity and latching onto it's neck as it passed him.

Now the monster was injured , poisoned and in the worst possible position to be in as Alex's prey. Moments later the small coves water was shaded red as Alex ripped the monsters throat out killing it. The admiral was left with chills when he examined the corpse after Alex brought it in to be processed. As an extremely experienced hunter the man could roughly figure out exactly how the fight went. The execution of the monster could be considered flawless.

Alex wasn't too bothered by having the corpse broken down for parts despite the [variant electrosis] trait needing thunder attribute parts to grow since he could just hunt tobi's for it instead. This wasn't even considering that it was true that the coral highlands was going to have an upsurge in kirin visits as well. Before Alex even considered hunting another kirin though he planned to level up his [insulated scales] trait a few more times to not get fried as badly as before. Still the legiacris had a large amount of meat due to it's size making the head chef work extra hard to cook it all at once.

The muscular lynian decided that a massive stir fry was the way to go for this particular type of meat. Alex was left speechless when he saw the chef pulled out a wok the size of a car from the canteen's storage alongside a step stool so he could see over the top of it. Onion , garlic , red chili's , turmeric and rice wine were chopped roughly in large quantities before getting tossed into the oiled wok and fried before the meat was added and tossed for the next ten minutes.

Alex could never get over how stupid strong everyone in this world was after becoming hunters or at least undergoing the ritual for it. The pile of meat weighed a few times more than the chef yet the dude was constantly moving it all without any issue. All that effort paid off though as Alex was presented with a small hill of juicy stir fry all for him and the runt that magically showed up the moment the food was done. Legiacris meat was weirdly similar to chicken in texture while it had a heavy gamey fishy flavor that worked quite well with the things it was stir-fried with.

The admirals reappearance had thrilled the scholars since he had started to willingly take control of the little wyvern when Alex was gone. The man's methods made him the runts best friend as rather than coup the thing up he instead took it outside astera where he sparred with it relentlessly. Clearly they were both totally happy beating the tar out of each other as they were practically joined at the hip when Alex wasn't around. Alex's favorite thing to do was prank the admiral ruthlessly now days , mostly by ruining the mans hair do.
