Custom monster system

Error message

This meant that Alex could now fly near instinctively through even the roughest weather that the world could throw at him. It was certainly a useful trait to have in general even if it was incompatible with combat. The runt sulked for the rest of the day after that since it didn't get to share the meal with Alex not that he really cared. Alex's day wasn't over yet though since he had the gem that came from kushala left to deal with. He was hopeful that he would get the elders ability to create and control wind. -

He remembered what happened the last time he added an elemental ability to his repertoire and wisely decided to fly far out over the sea again just in case a similar incident happens. 'Here goes nothing.' he thought as he tossed the small gem into his mouth and swallowed it. Oddly nothing seemed to happen for a good five minutes until finally a notification popped up that stunned him. *ERROR TRAIT [AEROKINISIS} CANNOT BE GENERATED DUE TO A LACK OF ONE OF IT"S CONSTITUET PARTS [CRYOSIS]* 'What?' Alex thought confused at the message since while he understood what it said he had no clue where that put him currently.-

There were no further notifications after that so Alex was unsure whether this meant he had basically just wasted the gem or if the system would automatically create the trait when he finally got the ice element. Alex had no doubt that he would eventually get the element since he already had three if he counted the thunder trait he was putting off unlocking until it was stronger. Water , fire and thunder were already basically covered so all he needed was ice and dragon to became a discount version of Alatreon.-

The reason he considered it discount was that Alatreons elements were basically as powerful as they could get without causing it to explode and Alex needed to bring all of his own to that point if he wanted to compete. Unlike Alatreon however Alex was also stockpiling traits to fully control all of his elements at once which in the end will make him far better than an unstable monster like Alatreon. Still confused by the situation with the gem Alex could only give up and return to astera since there was no point in hanging out here.-

He made sure to dredge up another huge chuck of astralite from the sea floor so as to not draw any suspicion as he could just pass it off as him needing to refill his bank account with funds since he was technically running low. The foreman could only sigh in despair as the debt owed to Alex skyrocketed again with this action. The man couldn't just not accept the huge deposit of astralite either as the guild had made it clear that the stuff was desperately wanted and as a result ludacrisly valuable.-

Ironically the thing that drained Alex's funds the fastest was the small shipments of world crystals he kept getting. He didn't regret it though since he was sure that he needed the trait they gave him for his long term plans to work out. For the next four days Alex hunted ice type monsters in hopes of getting the element but it was clearly not meant to be as he had no such luck. His [ice resistance] trait jumped up by three levels from the hunts though which was going to be useful in the future. Rather than Vaal hazok showing up during this time Alex learned of a certain handler having a close encounter of the pickle variety.

This was to say that a Deviljho had appeared in the new world and was hunted successfully by Zain , albeit with some difficulty. The monster was just as mindless in it's attacks as any other but caught Zain off guard because of how vicious it was even after getting put in his favorite pitfall style trap. The thing had apparently nearly gotten it's jaws around him as a result of his carelessness and was only saved by his crazy sharp instincts.-
