NOVEL SIMPLE The beginning of Team DxD!
After a quick change and appearance check, most of the members follow me to the VIP room to meet our guests. With me are Sona, Yubelluna, Ravel, Asia, Xenovia, Irina, Rose, Coriana, and Grace. We were told that two of the guests are representatives of Heaven so the church-trio wanted to come.
When my group walks into the room I see a total of six people talking to one another. Four of the people chatting I instantly recognize, Issei, Kris, Kalawarna, and Griselda Quarta. Two other young men are also sitting near the Nun angel, plus there next to the Japanese man is a massive jet black dog with red eyes.
Kalawarna, forgetting she is pretending to be mad at me, calls me over and tells us,"Honey this is Griselda Quarta, Tobio Ikuse, and Dulio Gesualdo!" Kala then introduced all of us to our guests so they knew all of our identities.
Dulio is a handsome young Italian man with blond hair, green eyes, and dressed in priest clothes. Tobio is a young Japanese man with short black hair and pale grey eyes. His height is one centimeter shorter than me, take that damn handsome guy!
The guy Tobio seems to be talking with someone I can't see and his eyes are looking at me with surprise and a hint of amazement in them.
I ignore his looks and say,"Griselda It is nice to see you again so soon."
Dulio happily greets“Howdy? Nice to meet you all, Devils of Kuoh academy. I’m called Dulio Gesualdo. Let’s get along from now on~.”
Sona then lets his moniker slip,"Heaven's Joker!"
Joker looks envious and wistfully remarks,“Oh man, I heard that Lord Gremory has many beautiful wives, and it seems like it’s the truth. It sure makes me envious, it surely does.” My gear and my gut tells me this guy is not being lustful but truly thinks I am a lucky man.
Before he gets scolded by the Sister, I say to him,"Thanks Joker! And please just call me Mat! I am very lucky to have met with all of these beautiful ladies. And I am sure they probably liked your compliment, ha-ha!" This guy is like the Heavens version of Azazel.
Then Tobio says,“Hello, my name is Tobio. I came here on behalf of former Governor Azazel. This one here is Jin. Please think of him as a Longinus itself. Since my Sacred Gear is an independent avatar type, he has his own instinct. From now on, we will be supporting all of you while working behind the scenes.”
Sona smiles, pushes up her glasses and remarks,“Oddly enough, each of the Longinus possessors within the Three Great Powers have gathered here.” Yup Issei is independent now and only has a pact with me.
Tobio asks Issei,“Red Dragon Emperor, will you be doing your personal training today as well?”
Issei, not expecting to be talked to, answers the quiet man,“Eh? Ah, yes. What about it?”
Tobio smiles and tells him,“I was asked by Azazel to take on your training on behalf of Kiba Yuuto, so would it be okay if I take this role?” Kiba has been Issei's constant sparring partner and now that Kiba left he only has me that can push him and I am not always around to help him.
Issei made a big nod with his head and grabbed Slash Dog’s hand,“Please do! There aren’t many occasions to have a Longinus possessor as your opponent for training! Well there is Mat but he is just mean to me.” Fuck is Issei crying? Am I that bad to train with? Oh I guess I did have Grace spar with him for a while.. Oh that's why!
Joker who is next to him also puts up his hand,“Ah, I think Michael ordered me to do the same as well. Red Dragon Emperor, and the Gremory's, how about having me as your training partner as well?”
I smile at the angel and say,"Actually I think having you train with me would be wonderful! My Gremory family could use some of your battlefield experience as well. Thanks to both of you for this! I will have guest rooms prepared for the two of you while you are staying with us."
Xenovia with shining eyes says,“This will be good. Having several Longinus Possessors as your opponents for your training is something which doesn’t happen often. I’m kind of hyped!”
Irina with her fist in the air says,“You are right; I also want to heighten my power as an Angel as well!”
Xenovia, getting playful, stabs her friend,“Yeah, the self-proclaimed Angel should learn what an Angel should be from the Joker.” Irina took mental damage!
Irina crosses her arms and remarks,“Geez! Xenovia, you should also learn how to use techniques from Slash Dog!” Xenovia looks embarrassed.
Asia with determination declares,“Both of you are really into this! I will also train my combination with Fafnir!” Why am I imagining that damn dragon using her panties as a slingshot?
Sona then asks,“If it’s okay with all of you, I also want to have our Vritra user participate, so how about it? I also want to have that child reach Balance Breaker soon, so there’s a high chance for him to reach it with these members.”
Joker nods while making a smile,“It should be okay. Having Dragon King join that is.”
Sister Griselda says,“Since the terrorists are making even more mysterious actions than before, we must strengthen the power of the youth from each faction. Unfortunately, the majority of those with strength are those people who stand in the high positions, so they are also in a position where it’s hard for them to take action due to political issues. We can’t afford to lose the Gods and especially the Chief-God from each faction. That’s why we need people like all of you that are powerful youths that can be sent to any place. So please lend us your strength, not only for the Three Great Powers, but also for each of the factions and the humans. We will give you the most support we can offer you as well.”
I smile and tell her,"Don't even worry about it, I have already predicted this outcome last year! Besides, we have no choice but to be the first line of defense or we won't have a happy future."
Joker takes a pastry from the table and eats it then says,“Well, having the youth of each faction like this meet together has been discussed recently. Michael also said it’s heartbreaking to have everyone here fight all the time. So I guess it isn’t bad to have the youths to get to know each other.”
I tell the three,"I will let the others know that we will have new house guests staying with us and thanks for spending time out of your schedules."
I convinced Sister Griselda to stay for a while and have dinner with everyone before she left back to the church's headquarters. I know the church girls wanted to chat with her for a bit. The two men said that while we were at school they would go and do other activities or rest. So I found out their diet preferences and made sure to stock up on the foods they liked. Plus with Kuroka around the food stock was really in a crisis. That bad kitty will just go grab a bottle of milk and not tell anyone she took it.. sigh.
After that first night both Saji and Issei regretted wanting to be trained by these two monsters! Both men are as strong if not stronger than the late Cao Cao. Yes it was confirmed that Cao Cao, George, and Leonardo had in fact died, but their Sacred Gears had not moved to new hosts. This means that they were ripped out of them like what happened to Asia in the anime. The only difference is they have not been put into a new body.
Well unknown to me, today was the beginning of the true [Team DxD]! I am sure if my friend from my past life was here he would be freaking out right now. However, poor me did not know shit about the future! I did hear the name of this team and later I will recollect this day and facepalm!
