Extraordinary Comprehension: I Establish an Immortal Villain Family

Chapter 4: Born Divine, Bearing the King’s Destiny, Chen Family’s Hidden Dragon!

Chapter 4: Born Divine, Bearing the King’s Destiny, Chen Family’s Hidden Dragon!

“Hmm?”

Chen Tianliang was stunned for a moment and touched his face in a daze.

Did this little fellow just smack him across the face?

The midwife nearby, with sharp eyes, quickly smiled and said:

“Third Master Chen! This is a sign of great fortune, like a spring breeze caressing the face!”

Chen Tianliang was even more confused and asked suspiciously, “Is there such a saying?”

Smack!

Chen Zhi’s tiny hand rose and struck Chen Tianliang’s other cheek.

This time, it wasn’t intentional. It was purely a physiological reaction of stretching his limbs.

Seeing this, Chen Tianliang turned to the midwife and asked, somewhat indignant, “What about this one?”

The midwife, not expecting this situation either, quickly smiled again and said:

“Two gusts of spring breeze brushing the face, making one’s complexion as rosy as peach blossoms! Third Master Chen, this is an even greater blessing!”

Chen Zhi, hearing the conversation, couldn’t help but be a bit dumbfounded.

Does this work?

Could this be what they call high emotional intelligence, where two sentences can warm your heart for a whole day?

One word—brilliant!

Chen Tianliang shook his head, naturally not wanting to argue with a newborn, and said with a smile:

“Dear, let’s give our child a name.”

Ying Shuangshuang responded gently, “You are the father; you should name him.”

“Alright.” Chen Tianliang nodded eagerly.

He began to seriously think about the name, sometimes frowning in deep thought, sometimes pacing back and forth.

He was really serious about it.

Seeing this, Chen Zhi couldn’t help but feel nervous.

This name would determine whether he was the villain, Chen Zhixing!

Although he was almost certain, there might still be a miracle, right?

After a while, Chen Tianliang stopped and his eyes lit up:

“Chen Daming!”

“Dear, how about we name our child Chen Daming? Big and mighty! People will know he’s not to be messed with just by hearing his name!”

Chen Tianliang looked at Ying Shuangshuang proudly.

Chen Zhi: “…”

He suddenly felt that being named Chen Zhixing wasn’t so bad after all.

Even if he got killed by the protagonist later, it was better than being a laughingstock.

Ying Shuangshuang rubbed her forehead, half amused and half annoyed, and said, “Tianliang, if we name him that, the child will be ridiculed in the future.”

She paused and then pondered:

“Recently, a Confucian sage preached about a term called ‘unity of knowledge and action,’ meaning one’s actions should align with their conscience. Why not name our child Chen Zhixing?”

Chen Tianliang wasn’t too pleased. What’s with this knowledge and action stuff? It doesn’t sound as good as Daming.

But seeing the midwife and the maids trying to suppress their laughter, he realized something and reluctantly nodded, “Alright, let’s name him Zhixing then!”

Seeing this, Chen Zhi sighed inwardly. As expected, destiny could not be changed.

The script he got was that of the tragic villain Chen Zhixing.

In the blink of an eye, another month passed.

During this month, Chen Zhi, or more accurately Chen Zhixing, who had fully accepted his identity, didn’t show much unusual behavior.

Like a normal newborn, he spent his days drinking growth fluid and sleeping.

Only when his mother Ying Shuangshuang and father Chen Tianliang talked about cultivation, he would secretly listen and try to gather knowledge.

He wanted to create a method!

“The Innate Primordial Dao Scripture” was a cultivation technique for harnessing the power of Primordial Heaven and Earth.

Additionally, he needed another cultivation method as a reference for his practice.

The cultivation journey is divided into: Treasure Body, Spirit Nourishment, Illusory Transformation, Luminescence, Spiritual Wandering, True Self, Nirvana, Apex, and finally Immortal!

At this moment, Chen Zhixing’s condition was peculiar.

In this world, cultivation is considered a sea of suffering, and the body is the boat in this sea.

The body is the foundation of all things.

Therefore, the first stage, the Treasure Body stage, means refining the body to its utmost, making the muscles and bones glow with treasure light, unlocking the body's potential.

The second stage, the Spirit Nourishment stage, follows the perfection of the body, nurturing spiritual power within, transforming it into divine sense, connecting with heaven and earth, and gaining great power.

Although Chen Zhixing hadn’t practiced body cultivation, his spiritual power was exceptionally strong, able to extend a hundred meters even now.

This was clearly an ability that only those in the Spirit Nourishment stage possessed!

“I must quickly find a cultivation method as a reference to get on the right track,” Chen Zhixing decided.

With his full-level comprehension, understanding cultivation methods wasn’t difficult. He even had some insights already.

One day, Chen Zhixing was pretending to sleep in Ying Shuangshuang’s arms, actually pondering his creation of a method.

Chen Tianliang was beside him, tirelessly expressing his fatherly love by telling the story of the golden axe, silver axe, and iron axe.

At that moment, a servant rushed in hurriedly.

“Third Master, Madam. The patriarch is here with the eldest master!”

Hearing this, Chen Tianliang’s eyes narrowed, and his storytelling stopped abruptly.

His face gradually darkened.

Chen Tianxiong was someone who never came without a reason.

While Chen Tianliang was contemplating, a loud laugh came from outside.

“Third Brother, such a joyous occasion of adding a member to the Chen family, why didn’t you inform me?”

As the voice fell, three figures appeared together.

Chen Zhixing also squinted his eyes to look.

Leading the group was an old man with a tall and sturdy build, white hair flowing freely, and a dignified expression. One could tell at a glance that he was a man of great authority!

This man was the current head of the Chen family, Chen Daoyan!

He was also one of the few great Nirvana realm experts in the current Cangxuan Realm!

Behind him were two others.

One was a man in his fifties, walking like a dragon and a tiger, with a square face and sideburns as sharp as a knife, bearing a seven or eight resemblance to Chen Daoyan.

This was Chen Tianxiong, the eldest son of the Chen family!

He was the most powerful second-generation disciple among the four branches!

The last was a child of about three or four years old.

Though young, he had an unusual composure for his age, stood upright, and had a calm and serene look, with a hidden brilliance in his eyes.

“Patriarch.”

“Big Brother.”

Chen Tianliang and Ying Shuangshuang stood up simultaneously and respectfully greeted the two.

The Chen family had strict hierarchies, with the first branch being the most respected among the four branches!

Even if Chen Tianliang was dissatisfied with his elder brother, he had to bow his head and greet him obediently.

Chen Daoyan nodded faintly as a response.

Chen Tianxiong, however, smiled slightly and said, “Tianliang, I heard you’ve been causing trouble recently, seizing others' heavenly materials and earthly treasures. Is this true?”

Chen Tianliang’s eyes narrowed and he replied, “Big Brother, are you here to accuse me?”

Chen Tianxiong shook his head and smiled, “Not to accuse, but your actions might leave others with the impression that our Chen family, once a noble family that produced a Immortal realm expert, can’t even produce a few heavenly materials and earthly treasures?”

He paused and continued, “Isn’t this making our Chen family a laughingstock? Bringing disgrace to our ancestors?”

Hearing this, Chen Tianliang hadn’t spoken yet.

Ying Shuangshuang’s face changed slightly, and she forced a smile, “Big Brother, isn’t that a bit too harsh?”

“Too harsh?”

Chen Tianxiong didn’t respond, instead, he looked at Chen Tianliang and smiled faintly, “Tianliang, is an outsider now in charge of your family?”

Hearing this, Ying Shuangshuang’s words halted.

It was clear that Chen Tianxiong meant she had no right to interfere in Chen family matters!

Chen Tianliang glanced at the silent Chen Daoyan, gritted his teeth, and forced a smile:

“Big Brother, you are right. However, the family’s heavenly materials and earthly treasures are under your branch’s control. If I had them, would I need to seize them outside?”

“You didn’t ask me for them?” Chen Tianxiong asked calmly.

“I did, but you weren’t in the clan.”

“Then you didn’t ask the servant in charge of the treasures?”

“I did, but the servant said all the treasures are for Chen ZhaoSheng, and I should figure it out myself.”

“So, you acted on your own without consulting the patriarch?” Chen Tianxiong’s expression remained indifferent.

Chen Tianliang was about to speak.

Chen Daoyan frowned and interrupted, “Enough, it’s just heavenly materials and earthly treasures, no need to argue further.”

He then looked at the calm child beside him and said sternly:

"Chen ZhaoSheng is born divine, bearing the king’s destiny. He is the hidden dragon of our Chen family,”

“This is a significant matter, crucial to our Chen family’s thousand-year fortune, and might even determine if we can produce another Immortal expert!”

“Focusing the clan’s resources on him is only reasonable."

As he spoke, Chen Daoyan shifted his gaze to Chen Zhixing in Ying Shuangshuang's arms and said:

"Let me see the talent and bone structure of this child."

Ying Shuangshuang hesitated for a moment but then gently handed Chen Zhixing over to Chen Daoyan.

Chen Daoyan carefully observed Chen Zhixing, his eyes glowing with a mysterious light, examining the infant's bones and spiritual veins.

After a moment, Chen Daoyan’s eyes flashed with a hint of surprise, but he quickly masked it with his usual stern expression.

"This child... has good potential," he remarked. "Although not as extraordinary as Zhaosheng, with proper guidance and resources, he could also achieve great things."

Chen Tianliang and Ying Shuangshuang both let out a sigh of relief. The tension in the room slightly eased.

Chen Daoyan handed Chen Zhixing back to Ying Shuangshuang and addressed everyone present.

"Remember, the future of our Chen family depends on how we nurture the next generation. Both Zhaosheng and Zhixing are our hopes. Ensure that they receive the best training and resources."

Chen Tianxiong nodded in agreement, though his expression remained unreadable.

"We shall see to it," he said. "For now, we must ensure our family remains united and strong against external threats. Any internal conflicts must be set aside."

With these words, the meeting came to an end. Chen Daoyan and his entourage left, leaving Chen Tianliang and his family to ponder the future.

Chen Zhixing, now back in his mother's arms, continued to feign sleep, but his mind was active. He understood that his fate was intertwined with the family's expectations and the looming rivalry with Chen Zhaosheng.

He knew he needed to accelerate his plans for cultivation, to develop a unique method that would ensure his survival and success in this complex world.

Days turned into weeks, and Chen Zhixing, still an infant, began to gather more knowledge subtly. He listened to every conversation about cultivation, absorbed every bit of information, and gradually pieced together a blueprint for his cultivation method.

Under the guise of a helpless infant, he was a determined soul, preparing to carve out his destiny in a world where power and lineage dictated one's fate.
