FATE of DxD

Jun vs Gilgamesh

Now though, it was time for the Saber vs Rider fight . . . Or so it should've been.

Unlike in the anime, Jun's interference made things run along much faster. Rider had already faced Gilgamesh and fallen. Artoria just found Waver alone crying on the bridge were the battle had occurred.

'Good thing they fought in an open area, by bounded field should have collected Rider's essence automatically, I hope . . .' Jun thought while being amused at Artoria's plight. It was actually his fault for not paying proper attention to the surveillance bounded field.

Moving on though, if they had actually fought under a powerful bounded field, Jun's wide scale bounded fields might have not been able to collect that remnant.

With this, all that was left was Jun's battle with Gilgamesh.

Jun donned his armor, all six layers without the mech suit and teleported with Morgan's spell to the entrance of the Tohsaka Manor before "gently" knocking on the door.

With that single "gentle" knock, a powerful explosion was heard across the manner as all bounded fields surrounding it simultaneously were destroyed.

Gilgamesh suddenly appeared and Tokiomi came soon after.

"Who are you mongrel? To dare to so rudely intrude of my, the king's territory!" Gilgamesh said.

"Your death King of Heroes." Jun replied and trapped him in a reality marble leaving Tokiomi alone, knowing what happened but having no way to do anything about it.

This was a duel field like the one Jun gave Silea to use on Achilles but even tougher, built to handle Ea's attacks for a while, even though a few minutes was the most Jun managed without making it overly expensive.

"Oh? A reality Marble huh? And?" Gilgamesh taunted and unleashed a barrage of blades.

Jun summoned the Phantasmal Origin chakram behind him numerous weapons turned into Brahmastra projectiles jutted out from its outer rim before being fired with a Wrought Iron Magecraft Maana.

They shattered Gilgamesh's weapons before rushing at him, only to be stopped by a powerful automatic defence made of floating golden disks that intercepted attacks within twenty meters using lightning. Gilgamesh then floated up into the air and once again talked.

"It seems a mongrel you are not . . . In fact, the mere fact that I cannot fully see through you should be enough indication but my probing attacks proved just that." Gilgamesh actually gave out some praise.

"It has been quite a while since I found an opponent that required testing so let us see where your limit lays." He declared.

He began firing more and more weapons and Jun being a quality over quantity guy, did not try and match him. Using his Kyokuchi along with two huge Maana shaped booster summoned behind each shoulder plate of his armor, Jun zoomed around at blinding speed.

From the Maana Boosters, powerful magic bullets were fired but blocked by Gilgamesh's auto defence but just as he was about to mock Jun, he loaded a Wrought Iron Magecraft projectile into each booster and shot them piercing through Gilgamesh's defences but not being able to prevent him from dodging.

The battle continued to progress in such a way, Jun attempted to close the gap a couple of times but Gilgamesh always backed away and forced him back with concentrated barrages of the Gate of Babylon.

After a while, Gilgamesh broke the silence of the battle to speak once again.

"You have proven a worthy adversary! I haven't had this much fun in ages. I can tell you're far from serious and I too have not given it my full by holding back my two greatest treasures." He praised.

"But how about we stop testing the waters . . ." Gilgamesh sai and slowly pulled Ea out of the Gate of Babylon.

"Very well King of Heroes." Jun replied and drew his golden sword Peccatum Aurum.

Ea spun up and a blood like energy emanated from Jun's golden sword.

Gilgamesh held his weapon high above his head as red energy and spatial winds coalesced around it while Jun held his sword low to his right side, preparing to swing it upwards.

"Enuma . . ." "Peccatum . . ."

"Elish!" "Aurum!"

The blast from Peccatum Aurum, a slash of blood, carved its way through Enuma Elish, Ea's full powered attack but it was being eroded away and, a bit over half way to Gilgamesh, it faded as Ea continued blasting.

'Aeternus Utopia' Jun activated his armor's absolute defence and blocked Ea, much to Gilgamesh's shock but, being immobilised, Gilgamesh captured him with Enkidu.

"I never expected you to ward of my mightiest strike but now, you're at my mercy." Gilgamesh confidently said.

Ea was his mightiest noble phantasm but Enkidu was his most trusted one after all.

But Jun was True Nothingness, how could be be captured?

He phased through the chains and used Kyokuchi and his boosters to charge straight at his opponent.

Gilgamesh, in his shock was a bit late to react but still got off another Enuma Elish.

Being on the move, Jun's absolute defence could not be used but he called upon his Wrought Iron Magecraft and created a Rho Aias/Around Round Shield seven layered defence.

Using it he closed the distance as the barriers were  shattered one by one though Ea's might.

The last one was barely holding at a three quarters of distance covered when Gilgamesh heard the words once again.

"Peccatum . . . Aurum!"

A blood like slash flew from the golden sword carving through the remaining quarter distance and cleaving through Gilgamesh.

As a final blow, taking this chance, a huge Pile Driver appeared on Jun's left arm and he smashed it into Gilgamesh's chest, driving a Longinus/Rhongomyniad projectile made with Wrought Iron Magecraft into his chest plate and shattering his spiritual core with unstoppable might.

It was a mortal wound and the field disappeared as Gilgamesh began fading.

"A worthy opponent indeed . . ." He said.

"Next time won't be so easy!" Gilgamesh smirked.

And so before Jun's eyes, the King of Heroes vanished to return to the Throne in defeat.

'My true Nothingness prevented his Clairvoyance from working its magic . . . I knew his methods but he didn't know mine. Next time won't be so easy . . . That would only be true if I didn't grow stronger King of Heroes . . .' Jun thought.

'But still, I'll admit this victory was based on this being our very first battle and the course would change very quickly if we fought again right away . . .' He added.

Collecting Gilgamesh's remnants, Jun left a stupified Tokiomi to return to Ryuudou where a group of stupefied women was waiting for him, especially the new additions who had yet to see him go all out, with the exception of Morgan, who seemed to take his power as a matter of course.

Next up, was to collect the Greater Grail. Deep within Ryuudou, using his filled up Lesser Grail, Jun activated it before swiftly using the Phantasmal Origin to draw out the essence of Angra Mainyu and and refine it, leaving a pure activated Greater Grail that Jun put aside for now.

Seed of All Evil. That what refining Angra Mainyu left Jun with but he was not planning on absorbing it himself as it deeply resonated with his greatest asset, Aurea Poculum.

As such, Jun decided to let things take their natural course and let the fusion happen and the results did not disappoint.

-Golden Grail Rule (EX)

-Golden Apotheosis (EX)

-Voice of the Seven Trumpets (EX)

-Beauty of the Apocalypse (EX)

These four sub skills became actual skills on Nox's Saint Graph while the Golden Grail changed completely.

Aurea Poculum: The Grail of Original Sin (UEX ->SUEX)

(Celestial Sphere is absorbed by Aurea Poculum.)

-Celestial Sphere: The Calamitous Starry Sky (A++) -> Cradle of the Stars (UEX)

-Heaven's Feel (EX) -> Cradle of the Heavens (UEX)

-Cradle of the Beast (UEX) -> Cradle of the Earth (UEX)

-Guardian of the Grail (A++) -> Beast of 666 (UEX)

-Peccatum Aurum: Sinful Sword of Gold (EX) -> Peccatum Aurum: Gold of Original Sin, Call the Tower of Babel (UEX)

After this transformation, Jun knew that in his hands, laid the chance to achieve a greater form but there was a similarly great risk.

He might not know what he'd get after gaining his new form but all abilities he currently possessed other than Scion of the Void and his noble phantasms would be lost . . .

'There is the masochistic solution though . . .' Jun pondered.

Making up his mind, Jun called Morgan over, he would need her help for the initial part of the process before he gained his new form.

As for what he planned to do . . .
