FATE of DxD

Two New Additions to The Family

Mordred and Artoria were also talking. With the events with Berserker who turned out to be Lancelot becoming the trigger, Artoria wanted to ask Mordred questions, questions she never thought she would hear from her "father's" mouth.

"Was I that poor of a King?" Artoria asked while looking down.

"Did my decisions deserve so much hatred?" She continued to ask.

"What is your wish upon the Grail father?" Mordred asked a question of her own, causing Artoria to look at her briefly before looking down again.

"I . . . I just wanted to save Britain but I was unworthy. I wish to take back my decision of pulling Caliburn from the stone and let someone more worthy do it. Someone who can avoid Britain's fate of destruction . . ." Artoria answered.

"Don't mess with me!" Mordred suddenly shouted, surprising Artoria.

"Mord-" She attempted to say but was shocked at Mordred's next words.

"You were perfect! I admired you, your beauty, your perfection! When mother told me I had to surpass you, I felt it was impossible, so I decided to serve you . . ." Mordred continued.

Artoria was left speechless at such words of admiration from her "son" who killed her in hatred.

"When I became your knight, I began to notice just how heavy the burden of Kingship was so I decided to help you by destroying all your enemies and clear your path but that was not enough, your suffering was clear to me but I did not know what else to do . . ." Mordred finally let it out.

"Then mother told me I was your son so it clicked! If I inherited the throne, I could save my beloved father from the burden he bore . . . And that's why your cold rejection hurt so much . . . Why do you hate me so much father? What did I do to deserve it when I served you to the best of my ability?" She questioned.

"I never hated you . . ." Artoria spoke in a low voice, shocking Mordred.

"I simply thought it was my burden and my responsibility to save Britain as its King, to lead it to a better future, but I failed . . . Maybe I should've passed on the throne, maybe it was wrong of me to ascend to it in the first place but . . . I apologise for all the suffering I've caused you." Artoria said.

In the end, both of them had tears running down their cheeks as they hugged and silently cried for both of their mistakes.

"There was no mistake father . . . I'm certain of it . . . Regardless of what happened, things are they way they must be. We could not defy fate but now, with master by our side, we can do anything!" Mordred declared.

"You came to join us right?" She asked.

"I . . ." Artoria was not sure what to say but then Jun and Irisviel came into the room.

"Saber . . . I'm joining Jun in his endeavours, will you join me?" Irisviel asked.

*A few moments ago*

"I am here to say that if your previous offer still stands, I will take it." Irisviel declared with a look of resolve.

"Oh? And are you fine with the price?" Jun asked.

"To join your merry band? I thought that would be my future with Illya and Kiritsugu but I made his choice and in doing so, forced me to make mine. I will not have my daughter suffer under the Einzbern!" Irisviel resolutely exclaimed.

"That's what I wanted to hear! To sacrifice one's loved one for some ideal, no matter how noble is just bullshit to me so I fully support your decision. Shall we share the news?

*Back to the present*

Saber fell silent but with her incompatibility with her current master Kiritsugu, her friendship with Irisviel, her respect and trust in Jun from her Instinct and most importantly, her conversation with Mordred, Artoria made her decision.

"Well them Mor! We should introduce them to the rest of the team right?" Jun grinned and Mordred grinned right back.

Moments later, the two were delighting in the shock of showing off their little familia to Irisviel and Artoria. Having so many legendary heroes in front of her was a shock, even for the mighty King of Knights.

"You're both part of the family now." Jun announced and they both felt an inexplicable warmth when they heard those words.

"Now that Iri and Artoria joined us, we only have a few enemies left." He started.

"Since I have no more interest in playing it slow, we'll be going for the kill. I don't want to show you guys off to much and attract unwanted attention from the Mage's Association and other possible threats so we'll do it like this . . ." Jun continued.

"Jack will take care of Assassin, his master and the priest from the Church since he is in league with Tokiomi. For assassin, capture one of his bodies and seal it before killing his master, the one closest to him should do nicely." He commanded.

"Leave it to us father!" Jack replied with enthusiasm.

"I'll give Artoria the same treatment I gave you guys and she'll take care of Rider, is that okay?" Jun said.

"Got it! Leave it to me Jun!" Artoria replied.

"I will personally take care of Archer." Jun continued.

This shocked Artoria and Irisviel who did not yet know of Jun's prowess but, seeing everyone was okay with it, they didn't say anything.

"I have some preparations to make beforehand so the ones with jobs should ready themselves and await my signal to start. Iri and Artoria will follow me." Jun concluded and left with Artoria and Irisviel in tow.

Jun then undid Artoria's contract with Kiritsugu and bound one with himself as the master before letting her undergo the Transcender Upgrade.

She gained the skill Dragon Reactor Core (B) and her Instinct (A) was upgraded to Shining Path (EX).

Additionally, she also gained Rhongomyniad, Dun Stallion and Llamrei (her horses), Avalon and even Caliburn as noble phantasms. This Avalon was not the actual thing as it was still inside Iri but it had the exact same power.

"Thank you master I . . . I don't have the words. I can only swear to bring you victory in any battles to come." Artoria declared-

Jun just smiled, finding her reactions, specially the way her ahoge moved about to be unbearably cute. The smile made Artoria blush and the pat that followed even more so«, leaving her without knowing how to respond.

"You can ready yourself Artoria, I will be giving the signal right after I'm done with Iri." Jun said.

"Understood." Artoria replied and left.

"Okay Iri, lay down here. I'm going to use Heaven's Feel to materialize your soul then incarnate you into a Servants which will also make you more powerful but you'll be bound to me by contract. Is that fine with you?" Jun asked.

"At this point, I thought I could no longer be surprised by whatever you brought to the table but I stand corrected." Iri said before laying down where Jun indicated.

Jun then separated Iri's body from her soul turning her body into the Lesser Grail and materializing her soul with Heaven's Feel before creating a Transcender Vessel for her and setting her down.

Iri woke up in her new form and checked herself out.

"I feel power beyond belief and this mystic code I'm wearing . . . The Dress of Heaven?" She asked.

"That's right, you're of my special Transcender class which draws on all your potential but your basis is that of a Caster Class Servant so you have the associated skills of one." Jun explained.

After a bit more talk, Irisviel changed into her previous clothes and JUn went to see the gathered Servants that were going to be executing the plan.

"Jun, are you sure you can take on archer?" Artoria asked with worry.

"I glad you care Artoria but yes, I'm quite sure. You can all see it since I'll be fighting him after you're done too." Jun said.

"But to give you a little peace of mind, here is your Saint Graph that shows your abilities." Jun showed Artoria her own Saint Graph.

"And here is mine." He then showed here his and she could only look at it in shock.

"No problem right?" Jun asked

"Yes, no problem." Artoria answered.

'I guess this explains how Mordred got stronger. Jun must have done the same he did to me and then normally trained her.' She figured and rightly so.

The first real fight was with Rider, after all, the current Jack was far to overpowered for the task Jun gave her so the Assassin body dubbed Asako was captured and sealed while a few others protecting Kirei were killed along with their master, after which the res disappeared from lack of magical energy.

The priest RIsei, having plotted with Tokiomi and just being in the crossfire when Jack went to take out his son, died as well and both bodies were retrieved Jack since that was Jun's policy.

Now though, it was time for the Saber vs Rider fight . . . Or so it should've been.
