Forbidden Zone of the Human Race

Chapter 60: Strange Sounds

Xiang Ning scratched his head as he stared at the dejected Zhang Hongyu, knowing he wouldn’t be able to get an answer out of him. Standing up, he looked up at Zhao Huatai, who was standing in the entrance of the alley.

“Wow, Mr Zhao! Your arm looks like it’s healing, are you out for a walk today?” Xiang Ning walked up to him with a grin - one could say ‘walk’, but in reality, Xiang Ning had crossed more than fifty meters in two seconds and was pinning Zhao Huatai to the wall.

Zhao Huatai had his back against the wall, trembling like a frightened chick. This man must have been hiding his true abilities during their last fight! Even the fully-armed Zhang Hongyu was no match for him, now Zhao Huatai couldn’t even run if he wanted to!

That was when two girls passed by, whispering and pointing at them.

“Hey, look at the guy pinning another guy to the wall.”

“That’s so hot. Look at the handsome guy pinning him down, he looks so strong!”

Despite Xiang Ning’s self-proclaimed thick skin, his face burned when he heard the conversation and he immediately dragged Huatai deeper into the alley by the collar.

Zhao Huatai was speechless. Didn’t this look even more suspicious?!

As they entered the alley, Xiang Ning held back despite itching to punch him, since the girls had phones in their hands.

“I’ll have none of your nonsense today. I need an explanation now. I can understand why you’re here, but who’s that?” Xiang Ning was growing annoyed. Why did he not know that he had made an enemy?

Zhao Huatai’s lips twitched. He and Zhang Hongyu used to be great friends, but Hongyu had enrolled into Hanwu Academy while he’d gone to Qiling Academy. After Huatai transferred, they met up for a meal and Huatai told him about the incident that had prompted the transfer.

Zhang Hongyu had been surprised to hear Zhao Huatai mention Xiang Ning. That perplexed Huatai, because it seemed like Hongyu knew Xiang Ning. That was how the two made a plan to ambush Xiang Ning together.

“His name is Zhang Hongyu, he’s a student from Hanwu Academy. I don’t know what happened between you two but this time you got lucky.” Zhao Huatai had calmed down a bit. The worst outcome was getting a beating, and he would man up and defend himself if it came down to it. So instead of being timid and submissive, why not speak like a man?

When Xiang Ning heard Zhang Hongyu’s name, he instantly recalled him. Hongyu was the bastard who tried to pursue Fang Rou!

“Oh, so it’s you! Why didn’t you explain earlier? Then I would’ve remembered you,” chuckled Xiang Ning. At this point, Zhang Hongyu had already removed his Roaring Tiger spiritual armor. Xiang Ning thought it was a pity, for he had wanted to peel it off Hongyu as victory spoils. It was too bad.

“Right, back to business!” Xiang Ning clapped his hands, then turned and looked at Zhao Huatai with a grin.

“What do you want?” Zhao Huatai stumbled two steps back. He could feel his ass clenching at the way Xiang Ning looked at him! No, he must run now! But before he could turn, Xiang Ning slammed his fist right into his gut with so much force his eyes rolled back and he fell to his knees, clutching his gut.

“Hmm, the entire family should all be together, anyway,” Xiang Ning said, satisfied with the crowd lying on the ground. He had gained more than two thousand Fury Points from these few fights.

“Xiang Ning… you’re being too cocky… even if we can’t beat you… don’t you… still have… a little sister? Hehe… hehe.…” Zhao Huatai clutched his gut, unable to speak in full sentences from the intense pain.

Xiang Ning’s expression darkened the moment he heard those words.

Zhang Hongyu smirked. “Oh… so… so you have a little sister… that’s great news… I must meet her…”

Before he could finish, Xiang Ning kicked his face, sending two bloody teeth flying out.

“Ahhhhhhh! Xiang Ning! You’ll pay for this!” screamed Zhang Hongyu.

Xiang Ning had wanted to leave, but now he changed his mind. He left the alley, but returned in barely two minutes, holding some rope he bought from a nearby shop. Ten minutes later, everyone was tied up and forced through an unforgettable experience. Xiang Ning had hogtied Zhao Huatai and Zhang Hongyu in an extremely humiliating position, all four limbs tied behind their backs as they glared at him in terror.

“What do you think you’re doing!”

“Let us go!”

Crack!

Zhang Hongyu’s eyes widened as he felt a sharp pain in his buttocks, then an intense feeling of humiliation. He instantly teared up. This was humiliating! Utterly unacceptable!

“Xiang Ning! I’ll never let you get away with this!”

“Hehehehe.” Xiang Ning had gotten a whip from somewhere and mercilessly brought it down on Zhang Hongyu. All the fighters and Zhao Huatai watched in terror. Why did this scene resemble a certain genre of videos?

Five minutes later, Zhang Hongyu lay in the alley like a dead dog, crying tears of a humiliated man with red angry marks all over his body. He wanted to die in a hole. Why couldn’t Xiang Ning just kill him now?

Yep, Zhang Hongyu was ready for death at this point. But he had no one to blame but himself, as everything was of his own doing. Xiang Xiaoyu was absolutely off-limits to everyone, and since they had involved her, Xiang Ning would never let them go with just a fight.

Xiang Ning looked at Zhang Hongyu, who was no longer producing Fury Points. It seemed there was a limit after all. Xiang Ning turned to look at Zhao Huatai with a friendly smile.

“What’re you doing? Don’t you dare come near me!” Zhao Huatai shouted in terror. Yes, he had just recalled why Xiang Ning had violently broken his arm—it was because of his little sister! Now that he had just threatened this madman’s little sister out of a fit of insanity, he was basically poking the bear!

“I’ll pay you, I’ll compensate you with money!” Zhao Huatai didn’t want to suffer through a humiliating beating like Zhang Hongyu had. Xiang Ning was a monster! Just a beating would have been better than this.

When Xiang Ning heard his offer, he stopped. Zhao Huatai’s mind raced. “If you let us go, I’ll give you a hundred thousand dollars.”

“A hundred and fifty thousand,” said Xiang Ning, stroking his chin.

The rest of the mercenaries started pleading for mercy in exchange for cash, too. It was torture, both to their physical bodies and their minds!

“Alright, we promise you!” Zhao Huatai emotionally replied. Although a hundred and fifty thousand was a little costly, he had already promised his mercenaries a hundred and fifty thousand if they broke Xiang Ning’s limbs anyway.

Crack!

The crowd fell silent.

“Hmm, I’ll let you all go when I’m done.”

Crack! Crack Crack!

Strange sounds came from the little alley along with faint pleading, causing every passerby’s expression to slightly change, then immediately turn and leave.
