Ch96- Family Man

After his breakfast with Tsunade, he walked out of the room with her and made sure he spent time with Mikoto, Samui, and Mito, his other lovers. His relationship was unique, but he tried to be fair. Even when he traveled, he would visit Samui and Tsunade regularly.

He first found Mikoto, tending the garden. The fragrance of blooming flowers mixed with the fresh earth filled the air. He approached her with a smile, and a brilliant smile shone on her face as she saw him. She cleaned her hand and led him to a nearby table.

"Let me pour you some tea," she said, her eyes bright with warmth.

"Thank you, Mikoto," he said, watching her as she attentively prepared his tea. Her movements were graceful and practiced, each step an elegant dance. He could see the joy she took in these simple actions.

Although they were a couple now, Mikoto still felt shy around him. Her cheeks would sometimes tinge with a subtle blush whenever their eyes met. Kai, on the other hand, was not one to express love openly. He was a man of few words, with actions speaking volumes for him. Mikoto knew this well. She had observed it during their time together and had learned to understand his language of love.

She sat next to him, her hand brushing against his for a brief moment before she snuggled close to his side. It wasn't a grand gesture, but it meant a world of warmth and closeness. She could feel his heartbeat against her, steady and comforting. It was these quiet moments that she cherished the most.

Mikoto listened to the soft rustle of the garden around them. Birds sang their morning songs, and the wind whispered through the trees, a gentle caress that made the flowers sway.

"Are you going to see Sasuke today?" Mikoto's voice was soft, almost hesitant, breaking the serene ambiance of the moment.

Kai hummed in affirmation, his eyes lingering on the tea she had made for him. He took a sip, appreciating the delicate balance of flavors. "Want to come?" His voice was low, almost a whisper.

She hesitated for a moment, then shook her head. "No. He will come and see me when he wants to."

Kai accepted her response with another hum, allowing the silence to fill the space between them again. It wasn't an uncomfortable silence but one filled with understanding. Mikoto inhaled deeply, taking in Kai's scent mixed with the earthy aroma of the garden. There was a unique sense of peace she felt in his presence.

As they sat together, the world around them seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of them and the garden. The sun began its ascent, casting gentle rays that played on the dew-kissed flowers, making them glisten. Butterflies fluttered about, and the occasional bee buzzed by, searching for the next flower to pollinate.

Mikoto's fingers played with the edge of the tablecloth. "The garden looks beautiful," she finally commented, her gaze following the path of a butterfly.

Kai followed her gaze, nodding slightly. "It does."

She smiled gently. "It reminds me of the time we spent together when we first met. The flowers, the tranquility... it all feels so familiar."

Kai took another sip of his tea, his eyes observing the garden but his mind on her words. It was true. The garden mirrored the serenity they shared during their initial encounters. Without turning, he reached out with his free hand, finding hers and holding it, his grip firm yet gentle.

Mikoto's heart fluttered at the gesture. While Kai might not be verbose with his emotions, these little actions conveyed more than words ever could. She squeezed his hand in return, feeling a surge of warmth course through her.

They remained like that for a while, taking in the beauty of the garden and the world around them. It was a simple moment, devoid of grand declarations or overt displays, yet it was profound in its own right.

After kissing Mikoto goodbye, Kai got up to see Samui. She was playing with Reina in the living room, her face illuminated with joy as she engaged with the little girl. Upon seeing Kai, her face blossomed into a radiant smile, and Reina giggled, recognizing her father.

Kai approached them, his face remaining calm, but the gentle crinkling of his eyes betraying his pleasure at the sight. He took a seat next to Samui, his eyes fixed on Reina.

"Look, Reina," Samui said, her voice filled with warmth. "Papa's here!"

Reina's eyes sparkled as she reached out for Kai, her tiny hands grasping at the air. Kai's hand found hers, and he held it gently, his touch reassuring.

Samui shifted her position, sitting cross-legged on Kai's lap with Reina in her hands. They all sat together, a picture of domestic contentment.

"How are you both?" Kai asked, his voice soft, eyes focused on Reina's playful antics.

"We're perfect," Samui replied, her eyes gleaming with happiness. "Reina's been a little bundle of joy this morning."

Kai nodded, watching as Reina's hand found his finger and gripped it. The simple action filled him with a sensation he still found hard to describe. He turned to Samui, his eyes reflecting his gratitude.

"You seem to have a way with her," he observed.

Samui's smile widened. "I think she has a way with us. She brings out something special, doesn't she?"

Kai hummed in agreement, his eyes once again drawn to Reina.

They spent some time in silence, lost in the simple pleasure of being together. Samui occasionally made soft cooing sounds to Reina, who responded with delighted giggles.

Remembering their special time in the forest yesterday, Samui blushed. She buried her head in the crook of his neck and whispered, "I can feel it, Kai. I can feel your seed growing in me. I will become the mother of your child."

Kai leaned down to kiss the top of her head. "Nothing can make me happier." His voice was filled with unspoken emotion, that rare warmth reserved for those he loved. He could feel Samui humming into his embrace, her body trembling with joy.

They hugged together, the world around them seemingly fading away. Reina giggled in the background, her laughter adding a touch of magic to the moment.
