Gilgamesh Reborn in Naruto

CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX: BANDIT HIDEOUT.

Running ahead, Gilgamesh brought his right palm in front of his torso and a transparent cube with black inscriptions appeared on his palm. Gilgamesh shook his head and cancelled his potent barrier jutsu and decided to experience what combat was like outside of training, and the bandits up ahead proved to be valuable training partners since he could sense one jounin level ninja, six chunin level and four genin ninja.

“Alright let’s set a threefold earth barrier that will trap our meal ticket in front of us.” A masked bandit ninja said to the other as his partner with a build as small as a child, agreed and began weaving signs until he saw a small blackball rolling towards them.

Realization dawned on the ninja as the ball released a smoke screen. The duo were about to scream for backup until Gilgamesh utilized his small body to sneak up properly in front of them, and hit their throats in quick succession, causing the ninjas to reach for their throats. With slick movements, Gilgamesh slipped in between them and knocked them out.

Without wasting another breath, Gilgamesh quickly undressed the ninja who had a smaller build and donned his brown cloak and mask.

Ugh, disgusting.’ Gilgamesh thought but went through with the smell of the cloak that had never been washed once it was worn. He was only doing this to practice stealth tactics. Gilgamesh had a body that was already as durable as an experienced ninja, but that didn’t mean there weren’t jutsus or techniques that could harm those types of bodies. Gilgamesh didn’t need to ask the ninjas for the location of the others since he could easily sense them and ran to the cave where the rest were.

The leader of the bandits was polishing his sword and turned his head when he heard some footsteps at the entrance of their hideout.

“Oh, Yusuke, you are back? That means preparations are complete right?” The bandit leader said as he turned his head back to his sword. The others were also in the cave preparing their ninja tools.

With a smile under his mask, Gilgamesh said, “Yes, preparations are complete!”

The bandit leader’s eyes widened when he heard an unfamiliar voice echoing from the youngest member of their group.

“WHO ARE Y-” The bandit leader scolded but his eyes were filled with the image of the biggest golden fireball he had ever seen. His instincts were screaming that he would not come out of this the same if he survived this, IF.

The cave was filled with cries, golden flames, and the smell of charred skin. Only two ninjas came out unscathed. The bandit leader erected a sturdy earth wall for himself since he thought that making an earth wall for his group would only thin out the sturdiness of the wall and would need even more chakra to make the wall more durable to tank the golden flames properly and decided to save himself only.

His vice-captain who is a seasoned chunin quickly used the wood replacement jutsu.

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!" The bandit leader asked after looking at the damage done to his men.

His vice-captain appeared by his side with a frowned expression.

"Captain, I don’t think this person is willing to talk." His vice-captain said as he took out a kunai and prepared himself for battle.

"I like the way you think." Gilgamesh said as he rushed the vice-captain and began fighting him without any ninja tools.

“Tch, cocky brat.” The vice-captain said after exchanging three moves with Gilgamesh which were getting parried and deflected easily but not blocked.

Is this a child I am fighting with?’ The vice-captain thought as his full-powered attacks were being parried easily by someone with a smaller build without his opponent being knocked back even a little.

The exchanges continued and he began to believe that the person in front of him could have countered anytime he wished to since every parry he made left him wide open for a second.

Is he toying with me?!’ The vice-captain began to show signs of visible frustration as his movements became more frantic and his breathing unstable. He tried pushing the kid in front of him so he could have space to use his jutsu. But to add to his annoyance, all he pushed was the cloak of the masked boy that Gilgamesh waved like a bullfighter.

The vice-captain was visibly angry as he saw the unmasked boy look at him from above dive and eat dirt.

But what turned his anger to shock was when he saw the armband on Gilgamesh’s left arm.

“L-Leaf ninja? Boss!” The vice-captain screamed.

-Bandit Leader POV-

I heard Yusuke coming in through the entrance and assumed the earth trap jutsu had been completed and simply went back to sharpening my sword I pinched from a merchant who was on his way to the hidden mist to sell such a precious sword. At least in my hands, the sword will be used to ensure my financial freedom rather than it ending up in the hands of a bloody mist ninja who only thinks about killing.

But then I heard a voice that sounded different and more polished than Yusuke’s and immediately thought the worst. Could it be the mountain bandits of the east coming to claim this place so soon? It didn’t even take up to a second but the boy who wore Yusuke’s cloak and mask weaved hand signs for fireball jutsu and a great golden ball of fire rushed us at an amazing speed, I could only protect myself and hoped my vice-captain survived, we can always start a new gang with him around. Mura is one of the most tenacious fighters I know, I even had to use underhanded methods to defeat him in battle for him to join me.

But here I am, seeing Mura struggling to push back a kid. Could this be transformation jutsu? Is someone pretending to be a kid to throw us off our guard? If someone can make a fireball that big and make it go fast, my instincts tell me to leave here, so I'll leave. If the boy can do that three more times, it's over for me, and I am not trying to mess around and find out.

The smell of my burnt comrades didn’t faze me but I decided to use a cloaking jutsu to escape. If Mura can’t even beat him normally then I can’t. I will go outside the cave and destroy it, killing them both in the process, too bad, losing a talent like Mura is indeed painful.

As I made my escape, my path was blocked by an older kid wearing the hidden leaf headband. The boy's eyes immediately turned red and I blacked out
