Hello you beautiful people,

last week I caught something, probably Covid, don't know. Don't worry, I'm fine again, though I most certainly wasn't during the weekend. Not that I felt super ill or anything but somehow my attention span was completely busted. As a result I was unable to finish the next chapter in time. However, I didn't want to leave you all high and dry so I did something I should have done a long time ago.

Let me explain.

Volume 1 Chapter 1 is at the same time the most popular and least popular chapter of the series. It has the most Favorites out of any chapter but at the same time every single negative review for Godsforsaken so far can be traced back to it. And I get it. The way Alisha initiates that first intimate encounter is just bad and off and doesn't fit. If you've read Ties That Bind, the short story I published here, it makes sense for her to act this way, but I hate that kind of required reading so it's unfair to force it onto others

So for a way too long time I was simply too stubborn to fix things but the more I realized that every single negative impression of the series starts there the more I wanted to change it.

So that's what I did. I have revised Volume 1 Chapter 1 and you can find it here. Aside from some very minor changes during their talk in the tavern I have completely reworked this intimate encounter in order to better fit their personalities and to be less icky overall. I quite like it and I hope you all will feel the same. And I hope you won't be too mad about this kind of update.
