Chapter 169 The sky will kill me!

Chapter 169 The sky will kill me!

"That's a nice proposition," said Snape coldly, "but where are we going to get a basilisk?"

David turned his gaze to Professor McGonagall.

Professor McGonagall was silent for a moment and said, "There is a basilisk in the school."

A flash of surprise flashed in Snape's eyes, but he quickly found the answer in his mind.

"Mrs. Norris?" Snape asked.

"Hmm." Professor McGonagall nodded slightly.

"Then our problem now becomes, how to make that big guy listen to us."

Snape looked at Hagrid.

Hagrid waved his hands again and again under his gaze, and the corner of Snape's mouth curled down in dissatisfaction.

"I have a way to control the basilisk." David said.

"You?" Professor McGonagall frowned. It seemed that Dumbledore hadn't told her everything. "The basilisk is not an ordinary magical animal. Many adult wizards have nothing to do with it."

"I have some special ways to tame it, which has nothing to do with strength." David explained, "And Harry and I have already seen it, and Professor Dumbledore knows this."

Professor McGonagall pursed her lips tightly, stared at David for a while, and said in a deep voice: "It seems that you have a lot of things to hide from me."

David immediately lowered his head obediently, without saying a word. At this time, he made many mistakes.

There was a moment of silence in the office, and Professor McGonagall said, "How sure are you?"

"One hundred percent." David said immediately.

"I hope you are telling the truth, not arrogant and ignorant like Harry." Snape said coldly.

Professor McGonagall was startled when he heard David's answer: "Are you sure? This is not a trivial matter."

"Of course, I'm not going to take my life as a joke," David said.

Professor McGonagall thought for a moment and said, "Well, when are you going? I'll be with you."

"Professor, it's better for me to go alone. If you go, it will make the basilisk feel a sense of crisis, so it won't necessarily listen to me."

David hurriedly declined Professor McGonagall's kindness.

"Is that so?"

Professor McGonagall murmured in a low voice, pacing back and forth in the office, she was a little confused whether to let David go.

"How about." Professor McGonagall suddenly stopped and said tentatively, "Let's work hard and kill all those spiders."

Professor McGonagall's words made the atmosphere in the room quiet.

There was an emotion on Snape's face. Although it would be a little harder, he had a lot more material.

"Professor, killing them is not the way to solve the problem." David wiped his forehead, and continued, "According to Professor Dumbledore, the acromantula is probably just the beginning, and there may be other animals in the future There is a sudden change, we should find out the reason as soon as possible, otherwise we will not be able to prevent Lin Du from being slaughtered."

Hagrid immediately opened his mouth anxiously, the animals in the Forbidden Forest are all his treasures, and he would not be willing to kill them all.

Professor McGonagall nodded thoughtfully, agreeing with David's statement.

Snape seemed a little disappointed. To him, it was nothing to kill seven people in the Forbidden Forest. He could be rich for a lifetime after working hard for a while. This is a good deal!

"Professor, just agree to my plan. I promise, nothing will happen to me, and no accident will happen." David persuaded.

Professor McGonagall still couldn't make up her mind, she wouldn't even frown if she was allowed to go, but now it's her students who are going to take risks.
"Let David go." Professor Flitwick suddenly said, "I have confidence in him, and he is not weak now."

After Professor Flitwick taught David alone for a long time, he had a clearer understanding of David's strength.

David is no weaker than the average adult wizard now.

Professor McGonagall continued to think for half a minute, nodded to Professor Flitwick, turned around and said, "When are you going? Is there anything we can do to help you?"

"I need a pair of huge blindfolds to cover the basilisk's eyes. As for the time, of course, the sooner the better."

David thought for a while and gestured.

Professor McGonagall nodded, and with a flick of his wand, a piece of parchment on the table became a thick and large blindfold.

"Is that okay?" Professor McGonagall asked.

David stepped forward to measure, it should be able to cover the eyes of the basilisk, he nodded to Professor McGonagall.

"Is there anything else you need?"

"Just in case, all the professors need to restrain the students in the dormitory, and nothing else."

David slowly rolled up the blindfold and held it in his hands.

"Don't worry, our deans will guard the lounge and prevent them from coming out."

Professor McGonagall said seriously, if any student dared to make trouble at this juncture, she would definitely not be polite.

"Then I'll go."

David put the blindfold away, turned and walked out the door.

"David, be careful," said Hagrid with red eyes.

"Do not worry."

David patted Hagrid's big belly.

When passing by Snape, he suddenly said in a low voice: "I hope you don't overdo it, I don't think it's time to go to the secret room to collect your body."

After Snape finished speaking, he stuffed a small object into David's hand.

David opened it up and looked, it was a small transparent bottle containing a few drops of a gold-like liquid.

"Potion of Felicity, drink a drop when you go in." Snape said in a cold voice.

"Thank you, Professor."

David put the bottle away in his bag.

As if he didn't hear David's words, Snape lifted his robe with his hand and walked out expressionlessly.

Professor Snape hasn't changed at all.
David shook his head and walked quickly to the girls' bathroom.

No sooner had he entered than Myrtle floated over in surprise.

"David, you haven't come to see me for several days. What are you up to? Where's Hermione?"

Myrtle wandered and looked back.

"She didn't come, and I didn't come to chat with you today. I need to go to the secret room."

David walked to the side of the sink while talking, and found the faucet with the snake mark with ease.

"Are you going to find that monster again?"

Myrtle quickly backed away from David, as if the basilisk would come out the next moment.

"Well, I'll come to chat with you another day."

David stared at the faucet, thinking of the word open, which turned into a hiss as it passed through his throat.

"You learned to say the same words as Harry?"

Myrtle's curiosity overcame her fear, and she flew around David, blinking.

"Yes." David stepped into the pipeline and waved to the gold digger, "See you later!"

David's body went all the way down the pipe, and because of his experience, he landed on the ground in a more graceful posture.

Stepping in the mud, David walked quickly to the gate surrounded by giant snakes.

"Open."

With a hissing sound, the door opened again, and a dull green light slowly seeped from inside.

David ran up to the statue, took a breath and shouted:

"Speak to me, Slytherin—the greatest of the Hogwarts Four."

After a while, Slytherin's big mouth opened, and the sound of scales rubbing against the stone wall echoed in the hall.

David took out the blindfold and let the summoned invisible beast stand aside holding it.

After the basilisk crawled in front of David, he made it stop again, and then controlled the invisible beast to put the blindfold on its eyes.

Although the basilisk shook its head uncomfortably, it made no further move to break free from the blindfold.

David heaved a sigh of relief, opened his eyes, calmed down the basilisk's emotions softly, and then struggled to climb onto its head.

"Get out of the pipe you used to swim through."

David stroked the scales of the basilisk and said.

The basilisk spit out scarlet letters, caught the information in the air, and slowly crawled forward.

The little green snake that had been staying in David's bag also climbed onto the head of the basilisk arrogantly, standing upright with its neck.

Walking for a certain distance in the passage outside the gate, the body of the basilisk suddenly climbed up a dry pipe.

Judging by the dust and cobwebs, it should not be used for a long time.

David took out the Marauder's Map and tapped his wand lightly: "I solemnly swear that I have done nothing wrong."

The lines spread, and a complete map soon appeared.

After confirming his position above, David turned the basilisk to the right and climbed into another pipeline.

After coming out of the pipeline, David and the others entered a dark, ancient and dilapidated secret passage.

With the light from fluorescent flashes, David saw many torches on the walls on both sides.

David extinguished the light on his wand, and waved it again, as if passing a torch, the torches on both sides lit up one after another.

After they passed, the torch was extinguished again, and the secret passage returned to the darkness again.

After leaving the secret room, David and the basilisk had reached the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

The sun has completely set, and the stars and moon are beginning to emerge and take over the sky.

It went well
The rest is left to let the basilisk wander into the acromander's cave.

David stood up to determine his position, and beckoned the basilisk to crawl over.

Perhaps because it hadn't come out for a long time, the basilisk crawled extraordinarily happily.

After walking through the forest for a while, two vague shouts suddenly came from the front.

Anyone else in the Forbidden Forest?
David frowned, making the basilisk slow down.

"George, hurry up, they're coming!"

"I've reached my limit. These guys are really crazy like David said."

These two worry-free guys.
The corner of David's mouth twitched, and he hurriedly let the basilisk crawl towards the direction of the sound.

"My God, they're coming," Fred went on yelling.

"I don't know if my mother will come and dig out our bones from the acromantula's feces after she finds out." George continued.

"David said earlier that he will help us clean up, and I don't know if he can recognize our bones then."

"How about we leave a mark on our body!"

"Great idea!" exclaimed Fred, "I'm going to carve Hogwarts' master trickster, Fred Weasley, into my bones before they digest me so that David You won't be wrong!"

"Then you have to hurry up when the time comes, it's not easy to engrave so many words."

After George made a joke, he shouted loudly: "Fred be careful!"

His voice was not as relaxed and freehand as before. It was flustered and anxious. It was obvious that Fred was in trouble.

Soon David saw a dazzling spell of light not far ahead, and the battle started, which meant that he was overtaken by the giant eight-eyed spider.

He hurriedly let the basilisk speed up its pace.

After the light dimmed, Fred shouted excitedly.

"Cool! George, your spell really works. They all retreated in fear. Why didn't you just use it?"

George was a little dazed, and he didn't expect that a spell he threw at random would be so powerful, but it didn't affect his greed for credit. He said complacently: "It's just a simple spell. I'll teach you when I go back." you!"

"Then have you solved the curse of the big guy in front of you?"

Fred ran a few steps, stopped, and pointed at the big head that was spitting out scarlet letters tremblingly and said.

"No," George's voice trembled, he quickly turned around and shouted, "Fred, run, this way!"

"What happened to the two of us today? I'm going back. I must find Professor Trelawney to see my fate. Someone must have tampered with him."

"Then you might as well let me look through the prophecy book for you to read." George said, "Run faster, this big snake is faster than those spiders!"

"George, Fred, don't run away, it's me!"

The moment he met them, David hurriedly stopped the basilisk and shouted loudly.

But these two reacted much faster than him, like rabbits, they ran away in the blink of an eye.

"George, Fred!"

David continued.

"I just thought I heard David's voice?" said Fred.

"Did you hear it wrong? I didn't even hear it." George replied.

"That's probably because I miss him too much. I don't know if this big snake will digest our bones. Do you think David will dislike Fred's poo?"

Fred said loudly, jumping up to avoid the branches that lay across the ground.

"I believe he won't, at least he won't dislike George's poo!" George led the way.

David patted his forehead helplessly.

These two guys.
David looked at the direction they were running, activated the illustration book, and appeared in front of them in an instant.

"Here comes another one, God will kill me!"

George was taken aback, and raised his wand in tacit agreement with Fred.

"It's me, David!"

David shouted hastily.

"David?" George and Fred kept walking, "Why are you here?"

Just as David was about to answer, George and Fred ran to his side, picked him up one by one, and ran forward quickly.

"You didn't appear at the right time. There was a big snake chasing us, and there were no one to collect the corpses."

Fred whispered in David's ear.

A few black lines hung down David's face, and he said, "Don't run away, I brought that snake over!"

"what?"

Fred and George stopped in an instant, and the hands holding David loosened. David staggered and almost fell to the ground.

"Did I hear correctly just now? Are you calling us?" Fred said.

"Of course!" David glared at them, "Didn't you two say you wouldn't come out?"

Fred rolled his eyes and immediately said, "We got lost on the way back to the dormitory, and ran here accidentally."

I believe you a ghost!
David sighed and said, "Okay, come with me, and I'll take you back later."

"Why did you bring that big snake?"

George followed David panting.

"It's called the basilisk, and it's the nemesis of those big spiders chasing you."

George blinked his eyes, and then he was a little disappointed: "Then the spider was afraid of my spell just now?"

"If you were Professor Dumbledore, they might be a little scared," David said.

"George, don't be discouraged. You see, David has already compared you with Professor Dumbledore, which is very good."

Fred directly misinterpreted David's meaning on the side.

David doesn't want to explain either, so let the two optimists be happy
