Chapter 168 Marauder's Map

Chapter 168 Marauder's Map
The evening sun was pale and was sinking gradually over the edge of the forest.

David had just walked a few steps on the castle floor after coming out of the cave.

Fred and George suddenly came from behind him, and put their arms around his shoulders.

"David, where have you been? Professor McGonagall has been looking for you." Fred said with a smile.

"We were both questioned several times by her," George said.

"But we haven't disclosed any information." Fred said as if taking credit.

"That's right, is what happened in the forest related to you? You are really mean! We are not called on such a big matter."

George shook his head aside, disgusted that David was not enough friends.

"That has nothing to do with me."

David quickly denied that this was a big scapegoat and he couldn't accept it.

"It's none of your business?"

"Then why is Professor McGonagall looking for you in such a hurry?"

Neither Fred nor George was quite convinced.

"Didn't Hermione tell you?"

David was a little strange, did the professors block the news?

"Tell us what?"

"Yeah, David, half-talking is the worst thing in the world."

The identical faces of Fred and George blinked curiously in front of David.

"What did the professors tell you?" David asked.

"They told us to stay in the dormitory and not to go out, and told Percy and the others to watch us," Fred said.

"But Percy could keep an eye on us, and we just managed to get out with a trick."

George raised his eyebrows triumphantly.

"Of course, we didn't come out to wonder what happened."

"Yes, I'm not curious. We just heard that Professor McGonagall is looking for you, so we wanted to run out to inform you so that you can prepare in advance."

George and Fred patted David on the shoulder at the same time, and said tacitly: "You think we are interesting enough? So tell us what happened."

"How did you two find me?"

David said curiously, the two of them didn't look like they just met him by chance.

"That's not the point of the question, is it?"

Fred muttered, still felt in the bag, and pulled out a large and old piece of parchment that was lying there.

"That's how we found you."

David looked down, and it was blank, just a piece of old parchment.

"Of course you can't see anything like this, but you can't look down on it. This is our baby, the secret of our success!" George said.

"It's because of it that we can survive in this castle like ducks in water and avoid Filch countless times. We call it Filch's Night Watch Terminator's Marauder's Map." Fred said.

"Oh?" David was aroused by them, "How does this work?"

"Like this." Fred spread the parchment over his hands.

George immediately held his wand and lightly tapped on it: "I solemnly swear that I have done nothing wrong."

When the sound dissipated in the corridor, the map changed, and tiny lines appeared on it, intertwined in a messy manner, covering the entire parchment.

Then several rows of curved green characters appeared on the top of the parchment.

Auxiliary suppliers to magical mischief makers Moonface, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs are proud to present the Marauder's Map.

The lines below the large characters outline all the details of Hogwarts Castle and various venues.

Moreover, the most surprising thing is that there is a small ink dot on it, and the name of the person is marked next to the dot.

David moved his position, and he saw the dot with his name on the map move accordingly.

This thing is not easy
David admired in his heart, and then asked, "Where did you get this thing?"

Fred and George looked at each other with inexplicable smiles.

"It was in our young, carefree first grade," Fred said.

"At that time, we were relatively naive and didn't know how to behave in the world, and there was a little friction with Filch." George continued.

"Just a little friction."

"But Filch."

here we go again.
David couldn't help touching his forehead.

Fred and George are good at everything, but it is difficult to be serious, and they have to expand it into a cross talk show for you.

"You stole it from Filch."

David interrupted their performance, inferring from the key word Filch.

"David, you're so smart." Fred said with admiration, as if you were catching up with us, and then said, "but you didn't steal it."

"Yes, that can't be called stealing." George shook his head solemnly, "This is the treasure left by Moonface, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs to help the new generation of law-breakers. It can continue to glow and heat without letting it get dusty."

"We brought it out just to inherit and carry forward the will of our predecessors."

At the end, Fred came up with a concluding remark of the Second Secondary School, as if it was a great thing for them to bring out the map.

"Well, for the will of the seniors," David continued, "Then can I inherit this will? I will pay you back in two days."

When David was just looking at the map, he saw many secret roads on it, and some of them still led to the Forbidden Forest.

With this map, he can send the basilisk to the forest through the secret passage, and then block the group of acromantulas in the cave and study them slowly.

"Let you inherit?" Fred blinked and handed the parchment to David, "You don't need to inherit, you have already walked with us, and we can see you on the map a lot when we come out at night Next time, oh, and Hermione."

"Of course, don't worry, we never told anyone else that our mouth is tighter than the statue over there."

As George spoke, he pointed to the statue of a knight standing guard on the side of the corridor.

David smiled mischievously, and took the parchment from Fred's hand.

"Remember to wipe it off after you use it, or people will see it," Fred said.

"How to wipe it off?"

"like this"

George's wand tapped the parchment again, and said softly, "The prank is over."

"Got it?" Fred asked.

David nodded, put away the parchment and said, "I'm going to find Professor McGonagall now to see what she wants from me. Do you want to go together?"

Fred shook his head hastily. You must know that the professors have stipulated that they cannot leave the dormitory. If they go, they will be sent to the door and deducted points?
"Okay, then we'll see you in the lounge later."

Fred and George nodded and began to walk towards the secret passage they had come from, but they noticed something was wrong after just two steps.

They originally came to ask what happened in David Forest, but they didn't ask about it, and lost a map.

George and Fred turned around quickly, stepped forward and hugged David again, and this time they tried harder.

"David, you haven't told us what happened!"

Fred squeezed David's shoulder a little harder and said.

"That's right, we have given you all our treasures, so you can't be stingy." George said.

"The acromantulas in the forest suddenly went crazy and started to attack the surrounding animals. The professors have been resisting them in the forest, and I will help them a little to find out the reason for the acromantula's madness, so for you For your safety, it is best not to enter or exit the castle recently."

David explained that sooner or later the two of them would know anyway.

"Acromantula?"

George and Fred exclaimed, they seemed to have heard these words from David's words.

Noticing the excitement on their faces, David hurriedly said: "You two don't even think about going to the forest! They are all in a frenzy now. If you go, maybe if you don't pay attention, I can only tear your bones I sent them back, maybe there are no bones, I can only go and dig in their feces."

"What are you talking about!" Fred raised his right eyebrow, raised his head and waved his hands, "We are not the kind of guys who don't know the importance!"

"Okay, go to Professor McGonagall, it's not polite to let a professor wait for you for so long, we should go back, or Percy should find out that we have come out."

George pushed David forward a little, and Fred turned and ran down the corridor.

You two are the kind of guys who don't know what's important.
David shook his head and walked quickly to Professor McGonagall's office.

The students were all locked in the dormitory, and there was no one in the corridor where people were supposed to come and go.

"Professor McGonagall."

David tapped three times on the door.

There was a rush of footsteps inside, and Professor McGonagall quickly opened the door.

"Mr Scamander, where have you been all this time?"

Professor McGonagall pursed his lips tightly, his eyes were full of worry, and he looked back and forth at David, only to be relieved when he saw that he was not injured.

"After I came back, I suddenly thought of something, so I went to the forest to verify it again."

David whispered that he couldn't hold up his momentum in front of the angry Professor McGonagall.

"How could you do that!" Professor McGonagall let David into the house and snapped, "Why don't you come to me and let me take you with you? Do you know how worried I am?"

"I'm sorry, Professor." David immediately admitted his mistake sincerely, "I didn't think so much at that time."

Professor McGonagall moved her lips, walked to the desk, picked up a piece of paper and wrote a few words, then she waved her wand, the paper folded into an airplane, flew out of the window, and separated into several Clone, flew in several directions.

"I know that your youngest grew up with these animals. These animals have different images in our hearts. I think they are dangerous, but maybe in your eyes they are just good babies."

Professor McGonagall walked up to David and said seriously, "But the situation is different now than before, they are already crazy, and what you know can sometimes hurt you, so you can't do this again next time! "

"I see, thank you." David nodded, and changed the subject, "Professor, how is the defense line in the forest?"

Professor McGonagall looked a little confused: "After we repelled them a few times, for some reason, they all retreated to their nests suddenly, but when we came back, we found that you were gone. We thought you ran into their caves I went, and Hagrid went to check."

That's right, I just went.
David thought of the pairs of eyes in the cave.

Is it because I petrified Aragog?
David thought to himself.

"Did you find anything in the forest later?" Professor McGonagall asked.

Just as David was about to reply, there was the sound of rumbling footsteps outside the office. It was Hagrid, and no one else had such strength except him.

Then with a bang, the door that Professor McGonagall had just fastened was pushed open, and the lock was shattered.

"Is David back?"

asked Hagrid anxiously, with one hand on the door.

Professor McGonagall pointed to David, and then looked at the door that Hagrid had knocked down, with a gloomy expression.

"Great!"

Hagrid heaved a sigh of relief, and let go of the door. There was a painful creaking sound immediately, but Hagrid didn't seem to hear it. He strode up to David and gave him a hug.

"I thought, thought"

Hagrid's voice was a little choked up behind him, and he didn't continue speaking.

But David understood what he meant, Hagrid thought he had been eaten by an acromantula.

"I'm all right, Hagrid, everything's fine."

David hurriedly patted Hagrid's arm, otherwise he would soon become the first person in Hogwarts to die under Hagrid's hands.

Hagrid nodded and let go of David, but with the last breath he tapped David on the shoulder again, knocking him staggering.

At this moment Snape and Professor Flitwick also entered the room, panting.

Professor McGonagall silently stepped forward to fix the door and shut it.

"I hope you can give me a reasonable explanation, Scamander."

Snape's eyelids drooped slightly, and there was a layer of frost in his voice.

"I went to the forest later to test one of my ideas," David said.

"what idea?"

Snape's eyelids lifted again.

David recalled Aragog's words and explained: "The acromantids became what they are now because of man-made reasons. Someone amplified the bloodthirsty desire in their hearts through some method, but they failed to change their habits."

"When Dumbledore left, didn't he just say that someone didn't want him to leave here. As for their habits not changing? What is your basis?"

said Snape sarcastically.

"You catch two spiders and keep them separated. If you hurt one of them, the other will definitely give up attacking others and attack you, so as to rescue its companion." David paused for a moment, then continued. ,

"If you are careful during the battle, you should be able to find that some spiders that are dying will block arrows or spells for their companions."

Several professors looked at each other and thought about it in their minds, as if it was really what David said.

"So have you found a way to deal with them?"

Snape's face was not very good-looking, because he didn't notice it, and he wanted this little kid in front of him to remind him.

David nodded and said, "Yes, acromantulas are afraid of basilisks, and it's the kind of fear engraved in their genes."

"basilisk?"

Everyone in the room uttered the same exclamation, but their meanings were different.

It seems that only Professor McGonagall knows that there is a basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets.

The acromantula protects its companions is a setting I added myself, and the plot of Norber also has a foreshadowing.
